Zoldar Music haven’t sold any beats yet neither but what I can tell you is that it ain’t just about making music, it’s about hustle. Cause you could have the best sound in the world but if you don’t put the work YOURSELF to promote your shit or you keep working with unprofessional ppl/ artists who has more mouth than skills, then your products will never see the light bro.
Your music is dope but like the other guy said it's not really beats for rapping. I would try to work with videographers on UA-cam, Vloggers and the like. They need huge amounts of background music and I think your music fits that purpose perfectly.
The last two are right. Honestly, if I were you I would try to get my beats in video games, movies, tv, etc. Most rappers/singers are broke, publishing is where the real money is and your music would fit right for that specifically 🙏🏾
I've been making beats for over a decade more as a hobby than anything else. Never thought my stuff was good enough but I guess I'll never know until I post it n try to sell it

Today is exactly a year of me making beats, and honestly if it wasn't for you and BusyWorksBeats I don't know where i would be. I spent last night just listening to the progress and even i was amazed. But also I love the progress in your videos and life, from the jump cuts and voice overs to your son and your new house, 2018 was definitely your "Joe Budden" year. Keep killing it king.

Seems like folks successfully selling beats online are now turning to YT to diversify income, makes me think things have gotten really tough for the beat sellers...
I can see how one could come to this conclusion. However, I personally don't believe most top sellers are making a substantial amount of money on UA-cam to justify calling it diversification. Top sellers are seeing what I and many others have been saying all of last year, you have to show your face and be more than a logo for the long terms success of your beat selling business.
Time will tell, over saturation (occurring when barrier to entry lessens) tends to stir up the pots -- I've seen it happen in the photography industry. Eventually it all works out for those who are good at what they do, remain consistent and stay the course...@@CurtissKingTV

I can absolutely relate to the subscription model. It took me a few years playing around with that idea to get it right. If you do not have your own website with a subscription model, you are missing out. But, once you get subscribers, it's not time to celebrate. It's time to continue providing value or you will lose those subscribers. I learned that lesson the hard way a few years ago when I first tried a subscription model in one of my business's. Got that one wrong, learned my lessons, tried it again and it's working out better this time around. Wishing you all the best and continued success.

Good point re: having a website but you'll need a proprietary music player with your site so ppl can listen to your beats, process payments, and deliver files or else you'll still be dependent on AirBit/Beatstars/Soundgine etc.

He's not lying. I started off with my own site, and domain. Paid $10 for a .com yearly (very cheap). Thought I needed a 3rd party site, so I went to Airbit > Beatstars > now Soundee. I realize I don't need any of them and I'm going back to having my own site.

I love making music and I'm still in the very early stages of my journey but this gave me so much more inspiration and ideas of things to do. I've been an entrepreneur in my career and its time I start doing it for what I'm really passionate about. I'm a web developer but never thought of making one for my music! This is such a great idea!
