This is one of the most under rated Nightwish songs and also one of my favorites so it's awesome that you guys got to react to this tune!

Yes... they killed it. Floor is such a beast. She commands the crowd like nobody else. This band is incredible. Thank you for this, guys. With Floor, the hair twirls are called the Dutch Windmill (she's Dutch and the Dutch have lots of huge windmills). Loved it.

Ah those trademark Nightwish transitions and multi-layers. At 9:07 Floor commands "Wembley let's go" and GO it did. The best band that I have had the privilege to watch and listen to during my 56 years here on Earth. All band members masters of their craft fronted by the best vocalist that I have ever heard. Floor is the stage General, she controls the crowd, she entertains the crowd. I love this band, no matter how bad the day, put on a NW song and I feel better.....

Sure, it's perfect for Floor, but it was written when Anette was lead singer.
The song title was inspired by the Stephen King book 'Wolves of Calla'. The song itself is telling you to go out and live your life the best you can, as the 'wolves' are only 7 days behind you. Troy is playing his Irish Bouzouki, a relative of the Mandola.

Oh and yes, since she's a Dutch it's called Windmills. Because Nederlands is full off those mills.
Furthermore eventho she's Dutch, she first moved to Finland to be closer to the band and learn the language. Then she met her husband Hannes Van Dahl(Swedish) drummer from Sabaton. And now they live way back in the Swedish forest. Floor loves her peace and quiet after a world tour. And that way Floor and her daughter Freja can enjoy nature, horse riding and other animals that they have there. From outside looking at their family life it's damn near perfect as one could imagine.

Empuu playes his signature EV-1 wich is based off of the ESP Horizon And Marco playes his Warwick Vampyre 4 string bass.
Great reaction. This is one of my absolute favorite Nightwish songs and it's hard to believe it wasn't written for her. I like to think it was written with her in mind as it has been said that Floor was on the top of both Tuomas' and Marko's wish list ever since they fired Tarja (not certain it is true but it would make sense, as they knew her back then also). There is only one thing that makes this better and that is seeing it live. I saw it live and it is incredible.
I love this song, so glad the performed this in Amsterdam.
It is based on the book Wolves of the Calla from Stephen King the Dark Tower serie.
You should check out The Pantom live in Amsterdam with Henk Poort, also a awesome perfomance.

Another interesting show. Floor's been windmilling for over 2 decades. If you check her style, she's doing it safely. Knees bent, hands on hips and a nice line. Also, have to give props to Tuomas for his windmills and not missing a note. FYI, Drove my Chevy to the levee.... Song is American Pie by Don McLean in 1971. 😊🤘

So…we have Queen vs King, almost impossible to decide! They both give you exactly what you need, it just depends on what you need in any given moment. I literally can’t choose..I keep envisioning them watching each other, I can totally see Floor melting at a Led Zeppelin concert, and I can see Robert Plant in awe at a Nightwish show as she casts her spell on her army…This is a tough one. It’ll be interesting to see! 💕🤘🏼💚✨I think they would vote for each other✌💚😎

I know a lot of great, famous and obscure talented singers with a huge range, but I have not seen anyone have so much singing abilities as Floor Jansen.Floor can sing whatever she wants, any genre and style she wants, for me she is the best in singing, and not only for me, Floor is considered the best singer on the planet, this is written by many people in the comments, from all the countries. Floor conveys incredible emotions, and can sing incredibly dynamically conveying incredible energy, can incredibly powerful, variously distort the voice in singing. Floor can in one breath ride through several registers. Floor made a glissando, where in one breath she rose from the low register to the 6th register in D6, F6 notes in different concerts and it sounded powerful, perfect. Floor sang operatic songs, with a full operatic voice. Floor also holds a D6 note for 12 seconds perfectly.Floor can hold a note for 18 seconds after singing 14 songs, among these 14 songs there are songs that last more than 10 minutes, and this long note sounds great with great balance, there are concerts where she adds a lot of vibrato to this long note. Floor can sing as fast as rappers and at the same time without losing the melodiousness in every word, she also rap in German while singing, can at concerts almost on one breath go from full death metal growl in large-scale, powerful operatic singing. Floor can sing in any language she wants, she sang in many languages with excellent pronunciation. This is one of Floor's most powerful performances vocally. The windmill is just another way to headbang and get into the music.
I love the Wacken videos...But I think you can tell that just this short of a time later, she was already more confident, more powerful, more accomplished...I wouldn't have even thought that was possible...

First time i'd seen a head twirl was from a band called W.A.S.P. the lead singer name Blackie Lawless so we called it the Blackie Lawless. Years later Floor Jansen does it and because she's Dutch and they have windmills we can it the Windmill . And one else that does this are called Fans lol. I loved Robert plant from way back in the Yard birds then Led Zeppelin before his solo music But Floor's power, stage pressence and control over the crowds and her versatility the ability to pretty much do Any Genre makes her a supperior candidate and better the Rebert plant.
