Be mindful that in the 1950s,west Germany made a lookalike of the us m38 tank helmet specifically for issue to us tank troops in west germany....these have X shaped elastic earphone retainers on the outside of the earflaps which was not a feature of the m38....still to this day people on e bay try to sell them as genuine ww2 pieces tho...
