    That is actually a leslie horn, not a Nathan. Also this is a rebranded Proto 1000 model. It uses the same tooling.

    • @Track10Trains
      @Track10Trains  4 роки тому

      Ok. I thought it was a ex Mainline model.

    • @natestrains1166
      @natestrains1166 4 роки тому +1

      the mainline ones may have used the same tooling also. But the drive systems were different on each version. The tooling originated from the P1K version.

      Oh ok! I knew they all had different drives. just didn't know about the tooling.

      So is the drive also the same as the Proto 1000?

      @@JMLoll The Proto 1000 models used a drive very similar to an Athearn RTR drive.

    I have two of these locomotives in the CP Canadian red what I’ve noticed though it’s kinda weak. I have a Santa Fe from a Bachman starter set that has way better pulling power and runs much faster. The locomotive is silent the Santa Fe is loud but I noticed right away much slower.

    That 3 chime is not a nathan it's a leslie rs3l which it's not accurate to the actual up locomotive it would have a nathan k3 or k3h

      @@sergiosotolongo7286 i really like it! Its got decent power, decent grip. But has no sound and comes with knuckle couplers but is overall great!

    C&O never hsd them. C&O went out in the early 70s. And the GP15 was made in the 80s

    • @Track10Trains
      @Track10Trains  4 роки тому +1

      I would try and just have it run around your layout for a little bit and see what happens. These ones ran a bit rough until I got them ran in a bit. And if that doesn't work I would call Walthers, they can probably help you out.

    5:10 (+/-) The sound is horrid, not at all realistic. Otherwise, thanks for a good review.

    • @Track10Trains
      @Track10Trains  Рік тому +5

      Its not a sound locomotive. Thats just the noise of the motor, nothing more.

    • @DavidAllen-dj7sd
      @DavidAllen-dj7sd 3 місяці тому

      It still sounds loud. A motor change would certainly help.
