the way i didn’t know Lupin III was from the 70s 😱 it became a staple here in PH in the 90s.. and Cha-La Head Cha-La is such an iconic OST.. this is such a trip down memory lane..

Wow….there are sooo many good anime out there. Don’t even know where to start, lol. Some of them have already been mentioned in the thread, but I’ll see if I can come up with some fairly unknown but cool ones (making sure they have subtitles)

Man I love Cobra. If you ever watch total recall, yeah cobra begin like that too but he's a legendary space pirate with a gun for his hand and plus a hot robot wifu not an agent on mar.
In Brazil his name was Mister Satan, in English, but they also called him "Senhor Satan"
Oh the nostalgia from seeing these! We had Candy Candy as VHS. And songs! I have been fan of Orange Range since I was teenager :D

The composer of Z-GUNDAM's OP2, "Mizu-no-hoshini-Ai-wo-komete", is the legendary American singer Neil Sedaka, who also composed the OP1, "Zeta-Toki-wo-koete", sung by Mami Ayukawa.😉
Unfortunately a lot of amazing OPs left off of this. Saga of Tanya the Evil ("Jingo Jungle") and Overlord S3 ("Voracity") by Myth & Roid, Made in Abyss (Kevin Penkin is a god), Slime S2 "Like Flames", several from Fairy Tail, Ya Boy Kongming, other seasons of Attack on Titan. Also a shame this started in 1975 so it couldn't include the original Gatchaman and Speed Racer (in the original Japanese is amazing).
There is a MASSIVE load of classic, ancient anime I am missing out on. I'm just so hyped and enjoying contemporary releases, it's hard to imagine the same level of animation or story telling back in the day. This was a really epic video, though.

I'm italian and it was Mr Satan for me.
It was super confusing though, because in the Italian translation Piccolo's father was called "Al Satan" instead of "King Piccolo".
So you had two completely different characters both called "Satan" for whatever reason ahahah

1999 Digimon Adventure but i know One Piece OP1 is slightly more popular.
2012 Fate/Zero OP2 but i know its nowhere near most popular.
2019 is just the craziest year in both openings and endings. Have to mention The Promised Neverland and Vinland Saga.

can't believe you haven't watched noragami. it's about a stray god who walks on earth begging for money, so pretty comedic most of the time, but also pretty tense later on. and visually amazing for sure

7:57 Babymetal did a great cover of the theme song for the first Evangelion film: Tamashii no Rufuran (sometimes called Tamashii No Refrain or Soul's Refrain). It's actually one of my favourite Su-Metal solos.
Dude!!! I watched most of those older anime growing up. There's was a French channel running re-runs of them so grew up with Saint Seyia, agundam, Captain Harlock, Wolf's Rain.... also 2024 gotta go with Asu (Us) the newest Opening for One Piece
Harlock/Albator was my childhood, it still influences my taste in sci-fi.

The original Urusei Yatsura openings are superior to the remake, cause they came out in the 80s, where the good music was-
InuYasha is a masterpiece and deserves to be seen.
Hellsing is a great horror series.
Any song by T.M. Revolution is very very good.
The Air opening is top tier. The full version is absolutely beautiful.
The official Mashle music video that Creepy Nuts uploaded got 3 million views in the first 30 minutes. It's currently sitting at 101 million. The Mashle author deserves all the love and support he receives.

In the mexican dub we always had Mr. Satan, whoch is wild because in the fight with Boo everyone would raise their hands for the spirit bomb and repeat "Satan! Satan! Satan!" Lol
I saw Mr Satan in Japanese DBZ trading cards in 1993. It makes sense because Mr Satan decided the world into believing he defeated Cell. I like a lot of the late 70s to 90s songs from anime such as Space Pirate Captain Harlock, Saint Seiya, Bubblegum Crisis, Cat's Eye, City Hunter 2, Zeta Gundam, Dragon Ball Z/GT, and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Technically, anime goes as far back as the 1960s, and that's only counting the made for TV content
in fact there is another video that go back to the 60's if im not mistaked. the weapon of cobra is a Psyco gun (only he have one) and the protagonist is a ex space pirate. in english they have censured so many animes, to the point to make them forgetable, Mazinger z (not in this list, if from 1972), Knights of the Zodiac (Saint Seiya), the fist version of One Piece made for 4kids, or a mess like Card captors (Card Captor Sakura), In Mexico even being very religius country, they left the name "Mister Satan". I loved Naruto, is a great anime, but im the end the many filler episodes, made me leave the anime to the point of nickname it "Filleruto" (Rellenuto in spanish.)
You definitely need to take a look at Aimer - she has done some sick songs for Fate series.
Also last one - Creepy Nuts. Super fun duo that did a very cool OST for "Call of the night" anime.
In german it was also Mr. Satan :D
Watched the English version of DBZ growing up and he was referred to as both Mr. Satan and Hercule Satan throughout the show
It’s also so weird seeing the Japanese versions of the DBZ, Pokemon, and Sailor Moon intros in these lists, because I grew up with the English intros so I have no nostalgia for the versions in these lists

Always called him Mr Satan. All songs and anime were awesome. Also do check up LiSA LIVE performance "Believe in Myself" which was the first song she composed. Lyricist and Composer by LiSA herself. She was sick during this LIVE performance with bad cold and bad sore throat but still one of the great performance by her in my opinion.

If you like mecha anime then a i can’t recommend Neon Genesis Evangelion enough, it can be confusing but it was worth every second I watched
While I like both songs Naruto's Blue Bird, and Tokyo Ghoul's Unravel are both at level of fame that confuse me. One that threw me off though for a different reason was Angel Beats. I'd almost swear I saw that in high school (well before 2010)

My favorite opening? Thats easy. Unravel from Tokyo Ghoul. Though I like Ado's version more.
10:03 Frankly, the first few episodes of Naruto have some stuff that almost tries to turn viewers away :D But pretty quick it gets damn good.
I understand that because it was pretty slow at first 10 episodes but I have high tolerance and I enjoyed what was given to me and eventually i became hooked with it.
Not sure if you’ve ever heard it but feel like you’d like Crying for Rain by Minami. Great anime opening but the full song is just great. Only opening Minami has done but she killed the song and her voice is great

Can u please react to my type-moon all openings playlist it’s the strongest franchise in fiction with their base abilities giving them irrelevant speed. & my power scaling subscriptions r all the proof we need, my other subs also prove it has the best written characters in anime. Like generic anime channel’s shirou vid, it’s billion$ budget & ufotable even came together to give us peak animation.
Im definitely biased but imo the original Unravel can't be usurped by covers ever 😅
The one from 1980 has such a gap between the opening and the content of the show. The show is dark, depressing and cosmically grim. Plus it contains a child killed by a headshot that blows their brains out.
Blurry Eyes (1994) in my opinion is note by note the best opening of the 90's.

In other news just caught Attez at Coachella and my mind was blown. First K-Pop Boy band to perform there and they delivered in spades.
Pay particular attention to Jongho Symphony no. 9 version of Wonderland performance toward the end. Dude is inhuman with his insane vocal range could be heard from space lol.
These guys remind me of BabyMetal in the since. From their high energy performances while maintaining stable vocals.

You should check out the unravel cover done by pelleK and Asterism (they each have a video of "their version" on their official YT pages). pelleK is from Norway and covers a ton of anisongs (as well as other covers and originals), vocal flexibility is crazy.
Did a quick search of your videos and didn't see any Asterism but would highly recommend watching them as well on their own, too. Japanese three-piece mostly instrumental group, two brothers (Miyu bass, Mio drums) and HAL-CA (Haruka) on guitar. They were ages 11-14 when they got together in 2014 and have been doing it since then. All are ridiculously talented players. "Dawn" is my favorite of theirs, a musical journey worth taking!
Ono Masatoshi (Hunter x Hunter OP singer), AKA Sho, sings for Galneryus. "Hunting for your Dream" was the second ending song for Hunter x Hunter. If you love HxH, I'm sure you've heard it but check out the full version (as well as other Galneryus, they're amazing musicians - Angel of Salvation is epic, but watch the live since the official MV cuts out half of the song).

Candy Candy, My childhood, in short, has a lot of drama...Air They ruined the anime in the OVA, the protagonist married several wives, it was a beautiful romance anime.

Hellsing TV has a god-tier OST. I'd love to see an edit of Hellsing Ultimate with the TV ost in its place. Ultimate was a redo that's much, much closer to the manga it was adapting. I recommend just reacting to the OST, then checking out either the OVA or Hellsing Abridged.
I especially recommend Abridged, the voice work is superb and it's *hilarious.*
