The first time I went to Florida, this was the first big coaster to really wow me! Absolutely loved it and it’s been a favourite since then

This was probably the best roller coaster 🎢 I’ve ever been on, riding it at night time was thrilling.

I rode that ride yesterday for the first time and that ride was so scary I hold on the whole time. I even had to close my eyes when it was turning and going upside down.
I went a couple days ago and rode this. I was terrified of loops until I went on this and now I love loops!

@@tey_. going upside down is amazing and not as bad as you think. It’s basically how you view the world but everything else is upside down you don’t really notice when you are upside down it’s hard to explain but if anything coasters that drop you are more scarier than going upside down

It's interesting comparing this to Kumba. Lots of the same elements, but Kraken's are bigger and it makes them take longer to complete which makes it feel more... I don't know if "relaxed" is the word. Kumba feels more wild and relentless, where Kraken feels more epic.

I hate this ride. Period. I can't go upside down so many times without getting sick 💀
But if I COULD ride it without getting sick, I would.
Going upside down is so fast that it isn't an issue for me surprisingly, the long 155' climb is what scared me the most - once you drop it's all over so fast

I remember years ago when this coaster originally opened. I was a kid on vacation visiting my grandpa. He decided to ride it with me. A man in his late 70’s that barely ever took risks riding his first modern coaster. He passed a few years ago but that’s One of the coolest coaster memories I have👍🏻👍🏻
My grandmother did the same thing when wildfire in silverdollar city first opened
My family took my great aunt on Goliath at Six Flags and she had everyone riding with us laughing, such good memories 😂

Went on this in 2003 and it was one of the smoothest thrills I've ever had. Me & my brother went on it about 15-20 times in a row, most of the time by ourselves because there was no queues at all, though we didn't really understand why. Everything else for the whole holiday felt tame in comparison.
I agree this is still one the most fun coasters lots loops, lots twist, lots of speed.
I did 4 times in one day (well 3 in a row and 1 at night!) it was my first major coaster before the others were built around there - tallest at the time, gf had to convince me because of my fear of heights lol 😅 it was amazing!

those dip areas they should add something with the theme considering giant squid type of creature add at least some decor
Finally got to ride this yesterday, I rode it twice actually, amazing ride the feet up in the air oh that’s what I was doing the entire time I was in the back.
Not a fan of the new colour scheme, quite off-putting on the eyes.
Love the new paint! The other three floorless coasters built in 2000 are Medusa at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Superman Krypton Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and Batman Knight Flight at Geauga Lake, now Dominator at Kings Dominion.
This ride was so good the best one in my opinion go try it and the memories are coming back😃

I just can’t get over how much I despise the new color scheme...They should’ve just repainted it with the original colors. There’s nothing special about these new colors that help identify Kraken like the original colors did. They look tacky and basic as if they used the same colors from a basic Six Flags coaster. It just kills the theme overall...

The color is more of a sea green then a true green like it shows in the video. It’s the only green coaster in the park so I’m sure it won’t be hard identifying it

They had VR on this back in 2016 but removed it after that year. Thank goodness they did so too, it was such a hassle to get on the ride when they had it

That drop is surprisingly great in the back row! Just rode it the other day after not having ridden for years, and I was shocked how great that weightlessness was! Kraken still kills it!

I’ve always loved this coaster and remember riding it as a kid and teen. The floorless design and long layout is incredible!
Not as big a fan of the green colors, though. I know it seriously needed refurbishing, but the color scheme doesn’t seem to fit the theme of the ride.
B&M has a thing with Vertical Loops, Dive Loops, Zero-g Rolls, Cobra Rolls, and Corkscrews! Its amazing!
