On both Nina and PB12 is the morph function (when mapped to an MPE mod source) per voice or the whole patch? I do wish they had also done Delia as desktop (could have easily fit in same size with little effort) for south of $1800. (Does it respond to MPE? Who knows for now...) PB12 keybed is cool, but still all the shortcomings of PB6. (Mediocre effects, 1 pair of outs, morphee shares mod source lanes, Steiner Parker + Moog instead of SEM + 2140) Voltage Lab 2 is a neat design and feature set, but NOT a great beginner choice to learn modular/analog fundamentals. Gotta believe the TEO-5 design team could have included bi-timbral, respond to MPE, full featured LFOs (fade in/out, phase, "N" shot) and actual ring mod (5 X 4 quadrant multipliers w/mix level into filter) and easily kept it under $2k. That would have stepped all over the $3500 cash cows so never going to happen, but it would have been mindblowing instead of just quite interesting. Finally, access to each filter is somewhat interesting, but if I am shopping for something like this instead of Moog a used vastly more capable STVC can be had for $750.

Still no perfect DAW controller released. I was hoping Arturia or Novation might release a new one as they are both 4+ years since their last one. All I want is a 49 and 61 key option with joystick mod/pitch, an x/y pad that works and is sensitive, ribbon strip, 8 to 16 faders and knobs, a screen if possible that works similar to Kompletes screen showing visuals of each selected track inputs/outputs (if that's possible), after touch on a good keybed, 16 drum pads on par with MPC or Maschine, and RGB everything per note/key, etc. It seems like every controller or keyboard that comes out has some combo of these things, but not all of it. Feeling like they are all working on purpose to avoid the one size fits everyone's needs board to keep us having to upgrade/buy every couple years. Come on fellas.. build us the ultimate controller. I'd pay $1000 for a 61 key that gives everything I listed above (with or without the screen option).

Honestly for $4000 I feel like the polybrute 12’s architecture is too limited. 12 voice analog poly yes I know but when you run through the signal chain it’s far to limited to be asking that price, it’s not a vintage remake it’s a new analog poly which I’m my opinion should have a lot more going on than 2 OSC, 2 LFOs and 3 envelopes. Yea the mod matrix gives you more with motion control etc but the so doesn’t the Korg minilouge XD (and the Yamaha an1x for that matter) I don’t know I was excited about it and was thinking about selling my virus TI polar to put towards a big analog poly but at 4K it’s far too limited for a 2024 new analog poly imo

Aphex Twin had nothing when he began but massive output of music. Analog junk food syndrome. Keep it lean. Watch these videos and then forget about them..look for used bargains, controllers etc.. Looks like plugins are catching up to make hardware obsolete.. Same as Akai 1000 was used late 80's to sample the old gear when making tracks.. Also sped up attack more punchy.. Too much expensive hardware now.. Its like early 80's...
