In the event that you open a company and you perform work as an unpaid employee, keeping all the income within the company, do you need RWOPS. Or do you only need it when you intend to draw a salary. Doesn’t paying yourself a dividend instead of a salary also get around this?
Interesting. I see many teachers on tiktok and UA-cam and they seemingly receive some form of income from these. So do they also have to complete the Rwops or would this be considered as passive income?
Great question! Social media income such as through brand collaboration or ads etc. is a space that has not yet fully been considered in laws and regulations as its a new market and is unregulated. I would say that it would be considered passive income. The main point of the RWOPS is that you must declare if the time you are using to generate income is interfering with the time and resources meant to be directed to your state job.
Yes that's what I did. They will only activate your membership after your last date of service. But it's a good idea to start the process before by sending them all the info. Then you just email them on the same email thread on your last day. They are pretty quick so you should have your nr within a week or so 👏

What must one do then if the employer refuses and yet youll work after the work hours and it wont be affecting your work as public servant.

@@PrivatePracticeGrowthClub Thank you for clarifying.
Hello Tasneem, if one intends to resign, do we still need an RWOPS or can we submit a resignation letter to PCNS?
