One of the absolute best fishing videos ive ever seen . You and your mate might be the best fishing videographers ive ever watched. Absolute masterpiece of a video. The location , the slo mo's , the gear showcase , the narration , the growl on the take , the seagull sounds and the music...ALL EPIC !!! The hard work shows. It was brilliant. Cant wait to continue watching these videos. And cant wait to see Kat smoking another monster from the rocks.
Thanks for the kind words man! Comments like that keep me wanting to create more films. I will pass your message on to Kat and my friend Joe Fluerty and I'm sure they will be stoked!
YES!!!!!! I think I've told you once before, Kingfish have quickly become my favorite fish! They just look savage to me, and very VERY intelligent! A powerful combo to try and pull out of the water. I'm absolutely loving the vids you've posted with these dramatic fish! This one especially looked awesome, the size of those fish is incredible and the pull it looked like you were fighting, man, you can tell those guys are trying their best to pull you off the rocks! Keep vids like this coming and I'll be doing my best to spread the word to everyone I know who likes fishing! Even some who don't know they like fishing until they see these fish, then they will understand why it's one of the most exciting things you can experience!
We have the same situation here in California. Hunting season closed yesterday (duck) pulled all the decoys to store away till next season. This time of year is the time to go through all my fishing gear to hit the salt this spring. Getting gear ready is like fishing foreplay the tantalizing feeling of anticipation of future trips. You have a great channel been watching the Morning Tide guys for a number of years and found you with the Briggsy episode. Fun to see how you all hunt and fish down under. Tight lines.
That right there is what dreams are made of for anyone who does not live in such a place there are no words to describe how bad I want to do that .....wow!
Insane...those kings rushing towards the rock ledges drive anyone nuts! For sure some of the best, if not the best, footage on kingfish fishing from the rocks. I really need to go there and target them! I have the need to fight one, it is beyond control...such an amazing fish. All about that fish makes it impossible to resist. And the persuit for them, the fishing spots and how to get there...reminds me so much of the Azores! Have a look at that, you'll understand ahahah. And having them hunting near the rocks just makes them easier to target than the greater amberjacks I target. I'm going to NZ man, it's happening for sure, sooner or later ;) Congrats on the great vids and catches man! Best, Pedro
Those views from above when the fish smacks the lure make for some excellent viewing . What a day , I am exhausted . cheers brother , see you on the next vid .
A comment on Cav's latest says, best fishing on you tube, of course there was 5 or 6 hecklers who had to say that so and so is better.....I prefer these other guys more......blah blah BLAH!!!! So I had to wander around a bit and look at whi they were talking about, I love fishing so I'll watch anyone who has the entertainment factor, well....they didn't impress me. The comments are 100% correct, you and MorningTide seem to be the only channels that put as much effort into filming and production as you do the actual fishing part of it! Its simple math, if you remove a big chunk of an equation the end result doesn't make sense the way it should! The ridiculous state of the world right now should help a bit, people are trying not to lose their sanity by watching more than usual, the numbers should jump a bit, but there is a huge amount of people with the sub numbers in the millions, who had to be patient for YEARS to get there! 5, 6, 7, sometimes more!!! I believe you guys will do it in 5 or less, for sure. Your cinematic vision is a natural gift! It gives you a big advantage over most in the outdoor adventure market! I don't think there is ANYTHING you could do differently or better, stay the course and the work you're putting in will change your life!!!! My sister and I are in the beginning and planning stage of our own channel right now, trying to get our older brother to believe that it will work and he should be a part of it as well! I just finished writing the script and scenes for our 1st project, I can't wait to start filming! The idea behind the channel is going to take us to all corners of the world, hopefully our paths will cross in the near future, both as you tube "professionals". I'm also trying at the same time to finish up the 1st round of wooden lures! I chose the wood species very carefully, the grain mimics bait fish and also has a flash that should grab the attention of any fish near them. All you guys are gonna be the test subjects! Nothing would feel better than seeing a vid of a giant fish caught on a lure I made for you!!!! I'm doing everything in my power to salvage the last part of this UGLY year!!!!! Surprise and wonder are on the way my friend........finally feeling like I'm not wasting my time and creativity, I almost forgot how great it feels to have goals AND the motivation to make it all a reality!!! The 'rat race' took that away from me for far too long!
So those 'kingfish' look like what my friend in Perth calls 'salmon'. Anyhoo they are nothing like what we in Africa, on the Indian Ocean call kingfish, or the 'giant trevally' - caranx ignobilis. Does anyone know their scientific name? EDIT: Ah, that makes sense now, it appears to be a YELLOWTAIL Kingfish or 'Seriola Lalandi'. These are also plentiful off CapeTown and have been targeted as a prized beach seine catch in False Bay. They can also be targeted from the steep cliffs near Cape Point with a rod and lure, directly into deep water, as Joe is doing here but access to the cliffs can be treacherous if not deadly.
Huge bro, film quality max! Deserves a million views already 🤙🏽
Let's hope bro!
I've watches 1000's of UA-cam fishing videos and this is in the top 10. Mental vid insanely good
