Several remarks on your remarks: 4:36 Bogomilists are a dualist christian sect (dualist means that they believe in two main powers or deities, a good and an evil one). They highly influenced the somewhat more famous Cathars of southern France 4:56 Catholique is the mod's method of incorporating the western schism. Catholiques are those that support the pope in Avignon in the time that there were different people claiming the papacy in Rome and Avignon 5:02 The Waldensians were another christian sect, putting the emphasis on poverty. They were declared heretical because they refused to accept the supremacy of the local bishops. 7:02 Another difference of course is that the number of princes and the number of free cities is *much* higher in this mod 7:24 That's interesting - I have played an older version of this mod, and then it was the kingdom of the Franks (basically disunited France) that was the area using the Kingdom of Heaven dynamics 7:45 This is just that the emperor of the HRE (as well as its enemies and war allies) has military access to all HRE states when at war. That's a game dynamic that also exists in the base game. It just looks even more impressive here because of the much larger HRE.
Just to clarify your point 2, they don't represent the Avignon pope but antipope Felix V who was elected by the Council of Basel in a bid to end the schism. Instead of fixing the issue, it actually worsened it and the catholics ended up with 3 concurrent living popes. At the time of the mod however, the last Avignon pope was already dead and Felix V was the last contender to the Roman papacy, although barely anyone followed him anymore. Felix V also happened to be count Amedeus VIII of Savoy, hence why the catholique provinces in the mod are in Savoy
Surprised by how long the Ottomans took to really get going, the majors all look like Ming at game start so thought they would dominate the game completely
there is actually a Roman culture province in africa in djerid at an oasis, might not exist in the 1444 start date but it does exist in the VN2 new starting date (the one with normandy, apulia, leon)
I thought it was for pace reasons, since the Americas end up not fully colonized by game end which... is historically accurate, the US was fighting against native Americans well into the nineteenth century.
Jagoldai (Yagoldayeva T'ma) was a realm established by a Tatar who defected from the Golden Horde. The population was mostly Slavic or at least many Slavs moved there, I don't remember how it exactly went. There was also the Glinsk domain to its west which was similar (established by a Tatar), it's where the Polish Glinski noble family came from.

Some time after the Norman conquests of England in the mod (around 1070 perhaps?) you can find an opm on the black sea cost settled by Anglo-Saxons called "New England" which is a state that may well have existed in real life.
I was afraid that this mod would not even consider representing Veletri, which by 1444 was independent, and although it is not represented as a nation, it is represented as a province and I am happy. Also my Grandpa's hometown of Sora has been represented as a province, which makes me even happier.
I can run this (albeit slowly) on my mac laptop. It gets much slower if your playing the HRE, but Ive managed a Italian unification and a Latin Empire eastern Roman restoration. If you have a real pc then you should be fine.
@@alinaqi9862 To be honest I don't know whats wrong with my pc. I have a 1080 in there and an i5 processer but I can't run vanilla EU4 fast at all. Or other games like Total War Warhammer 3, Mount and Blade Bannerlord and god forbid I try to load FORTNITE. Yeah maybe 8GB ram is too weak idk?

One thing I noticed is the mod very selectively using endonyms for some countries, then exonyms for others. Usually English, which makes sense, but then for example in Silesia German places suddenly get written using Polish exonyms.
4:21 In 2 March 1444, Skanderbeg gathered the Albanian lords in Lezhe and there, they formed the League of Lezhe, where Skanderbeg was recognized as commander and head of the armies of all of the nobles that participated in the league, Skanderbeg also used the title of "Dominus Albaniae" (lord of Albania) and so on. Skanderbeg had significant political and military authority over the lands of all of the Albanian nobles, although they atteined significant autonomy. In my opinion, Albania should have its own system similar to CK3 where it is one country ruled by Skanderbeg (like historically) but with the nobles having their own politics, interests and internal conflicts.
Yazidis are still a faith today in Northern Iraq. Weird thing about them is that they don't accept converts marrying only between themself for thousands of years
this messy HRE would be very cool if the map had dynamic borders like in Vic3, not fixed provinces maybe they'll implement this in eu5 and we'll see voltaire's newest nightmare
Vic 3 has fixed provinces - they're just really small. It's the states that are dynamic. Also, arguably, Voltaire's Nightmare basically ends up being the same as Vic3, if not more, because the provinces are really small (at least in some places).
The skåne ( Skana) country being almost all in none skåne is so not really that weird. Skåne derived from skåneland which was the terretory owned by Denmark on the Scandinavian peninsula.
My favorite part of this mod is the 1204 start date and more specifically Trebzond with Komemnoi restauration, because not only are all of your neighbors but the Latin Empire stronger at first needing good diplomatie, you are litteraly next to both the Ilkhanate and the Golden Horde incoming and boy the next 50 years is just sweat "dont attack me you have like 4 times more troops than my whole alliance and yours are twice as good OH GOD save me"
