Its amazing how good they casted Eddie in both movies. Kid Eddie was a convincing Hypochondriac. Also Kid and Adult Eddie look so much alike that it is also convincing that I can see its Eddie all grown up. Are the actors related or something?

The reason that the novel was so impactful and successful is because it's a "relatable" (as in people can identify with the characters' plights rather than the monster(s)) story that has an antagonist which is a manifestation of childhood trauma.
I don't know if I'd assume that pennywise attacking the young adults at the start as it getting stronger, rather that since it didn't get to feed properly last cycle it's getting desperate.

The vampires don't seem to even be aware of the town or they would have probably eaten everyone already. It also shares possible connections with how in the shining, people with a little bit of shining like the father would be controlled by evil forces, enough of it any they can resist or fight back like Danny while people without any would be unaffected until the evil reached it's highest power like how the mother didn't see anything until the climax. Possibly why Beth's father was one of the psychopathic adults while Beth was one of the losers. Their bully also likely had a bit but not enough to resist.
Since the concept of multiple characters over various books having the Shining was pointed out to me, I'm starting to see it in almost everyone of his books (though, admittedly, I haven't read very many of them, I'm not the biggest fan of his work). The only possibly way of killing pennywise is another cosmic being like Maturin the cosmic turtle. But there's also a chance that pennywise could over power Maturin. The blood oath scene always unnerved me. YES, I know it's fake blood, but people actually DO make blood oaths. Native Americans would do this to form a closer relationship and be "blood brothers". But what with the spread of bloodborne illnesses, I would think twice before taking a piece of glass of questionable cleanliness and slitting my palm open!

I feel like IT 2 is the same as Silent Hill 2 because if you think about it they have so much similarities, going back to a haunted town, fighting off an evil monster, dealing with your guilt/ insecurities.

Here is what I would do differently 1) Drug - The clown's primary weapon is fear .Overcoming it is a very difficult process . I on the contrary would use drugs like Benzodiazepines , selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors ect . The clown can't use fear if I artificially lose the ability to perceive fear . The down side would be I may become foolishly brave and try something stupid . Fear is nothing more than cautionary system from evolution to prevent death . According to some we are afraid of the dark because our ancestors were primarily hunted in the dark by nocturnal beasts and hence we now are afraid of the dark. 2) Fighting delusions - The clown utilises hallucinations to great effect on people especially children . I would try different methods such as reality checks such as feeling something tangible such as an apple or furniture or something. I would use scents as well to ground myself into reality such a cigarette or some perfume ect . I would also store some coins in a tin can or bottle so when I suspect I am hallucinating I would drop them with the hope the sound would snap me back into reality . 3) The Tangible Physical realm - So if some of the monsters manifest into the physical world where we can interact with them and also kill them . We could use this as evidence to the appropriate authorities . When the zombie vomited bile .The bile remained on him until he washed it off. So it wouldn't be far fetched to capture these things on a camera . I would make a request all of my friends to wear a body camera . It could also help in proving them innocent of all wrong doings . When that child walked into the clown house many witnesses saw him trying to enter the clown house and may report him as suspect . 4) Special forces tactics - After my friends were armed I would use formations used by special forces to clear buildings of terrorists . Dynamic entry accompanied by speed and surprise . A system where surprises from the clown aren't possible and there are eyes in every direction . With someone holding open a door with furniture preventing them from closing an secluding vulnerable members

Its not through their words that they defeated pennywise, Its that they overcame their fears. Pennywise mostly hunts on kids because they have a fear of clowns or some sort. I think pennywise was proud because his last words were "look at you, your all grown up"

The blood oath scene always unnerved me. YES, I know it's fake blood, but people actually DO make blood oaths. Native Americans would do this to form a closer relationship and be "blood brothers". But what with the spread of bloodborne illnesses, I would think twice before taking a piece of glass of questionable cleanliness and slitting my palm open!

@@randomperson5579 yes but we're not talking about the book or even the original I can honestly say I don't have any things I valued from my childhood because that was almost 20 years ago and the only things I ever truly held valuable were alive so they were pets and unfortunately animals don't live that long so I guess if I was in Beverly's situation I would be shit out of luck.

I feel like IT 2 is the same as Silent Hill 2 because if you think about it they have so much similarities, going back to a haunted town, fighting off an evil monster, dealing with your guilt/ insecurities.
Strategy one: don’t be afraid
Strategy two: just kill it
Strategy three: trapped = dead (the mirror/glass maze in IT 2)
Strategy four: if your afraid of nearly everything out of a moving pictures film like me, then its simple, don’t go to dairy
Strategy 4 explained: penny can use countless ways to scare/kill you, so if you don’t like pretty much anything, just don’t go to dairy
Here is what I would do differently
1) Drug - The clown's primary weapon is fear .Overcoming it is a very difficult process . I on the contrary would use drugs like Benzodiazepines , selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors ect . The clown can't use fear if I artificially lose the ability to perceive fear . The down side would be I may become foolishly brave and try something stupid . Fear is nothing more than cautionary system from evolution to prevent death . According to some we are afraid of the dark because our ancestors were primarily hunted in the dark by nocturnal beasts and hence we now are afraid of the dark.
2) Fighting delusions - The clown utilises hallucinations to great effect on people especially children . I would try different methods such as reality checks such as feeling something tangible such as an apple or furniture or something. I would use scents as well to ground myself into reality such a cigarette or some perfume ect . I would also store some coins in a tin can or bottle so when I suspect I am hallucinating I would drop them with the hope the sound would snap me back into reality .
3) The Tangible Physical realm - So if some of the monsters manifest into the physical world where we can interact with them and also kill them . We could use this as evidence to the appropriate authorities . When the zombie vomited bile .The bile remained on him until he washed it off. So it wouldn't be far fetched to capture these things on a camera . I would make a request all of my friends to wear a body camera . It could also help in proving them innocent of all wrong doings . When that child walked into the clown house many witnesses saw him trying to enter the clown house and may report him as suspect .
4) Special forces tactics - After my friends were armed I would use formations used by special forces to clear buildings of terrorists . Dynamic entry accompanied by speed and surprise . A system where surprises from the clown aren't possible and there are eyes in every direction . With someone holding open a door with furniture preventing them from closing an secluding vulnerable members

Also they lost their memory, once you leave the town you don’t remember pennywise that’s why they didn’t bring anything. Did you even watch the movie? They literally explain all of this
