I love it when a game establishes rules like the 2D perspective, and then effectively breaks them to blow your mind. Him looking at the screen was so eldritch.
Another thing that makes it so freaky is that the whole game you have been using your tricks really obviously in front of people with them having pretty much no reaction to them. Then with Yomiel, that freedom of being able to manipulate the situation however you want is taken away.
First time I saw this scene, I got goosebumps. I still do. There's something about the way Yomiel is presented that makes you feel...weak. Yes. I felt powerless the first time I got spotted by him. I just sat there, thinking "Now that was awesome." Followed by: " So, what do I do now?"
Busting out Jowd from prison was already stressful but Yomiel looking at the player right in the eyes. Makes you realize you are actually a weak ghost.
Revisiting this scene again was nostalgic. And the fact that this game got its remastered port in PC recently. Ghost Trick getting the attention it deserved. It's my fave game when I was in grade school. Currently finishing college and seeing this iconic scene still sends shivers until now.

The reason why they cannot let you play as yomiel is because of his powers how are you supposed to make a gameplay element out of a guy that controls living objects? Have a "walk button" for the player, run button, "action" button? Anyways even though its possible they thought it was too complicated At least thats my guess
the first time I saw that wacky hair, I wasn't too convinced to know who he really is, at first I thought he was just a detective who works with Lynne, but after discovering that he's a bad guy, seeing him rise from the dead & have complete control over anything, I shit bricks, my image of him change from "ROFL at hair" to "OMFG I'm fucked O_O" it hook me up to know his identity a bit more realizing he wasn't even the guy I was currently playing lol XD...very interesting storyline, none the less
@ES21007 Here's the thing, the trick was, "Not to let him know they aren't dead". The knit cap was hidden by the rest of Canabella's body when it PWN3D him, so "Sissel" didn't see it. Same with the Explosin and "Pidgen dude", he was gone, so he thought the body just blew up.

Night Silver Chelly Yomiel should have known how the temsik meteorite works. When he seen Sissel’s dead body, he should have gotten the idea that temsik gave dead sissel powers of the dead.....because sissel died right in front of him and very close to his core.

I know right. It would seem like Yomiel would have notice a bullet magically turing into a cap!! And the way Cabanela flipped by being hit by a speeding... CAP should have tipped Yomiel off as to what the fuck was going on behind the scenes. LOL!
Keep in mind, it was moving at the speed of a bullet. If you ever see a gun fire, you never even see the bullet. And while yes, Cabanella flipped backwards, Yomiel wasn't the one who died, so he would have no memory of how Cabanella fell when it was a bullet.
Fuck i remember when I played this chapter. I was so excited to guess how i would save inspector cabanela that i did the same thing. Move the lamp while yomiel was looking and then this scene played. I was genuinely creeped out about that mini fourth wall break lol i got stuck in that chapter bc i really didn't know what to do 0_0
