- Maria Bamford, is also an actress and voice actress. Her comedy includes animated voice impression portrayals of her family and other characters. Her humor tends to focus on corporations, house pets, depression and anxiety. She was born in 1970, started performing at 19. She was awarded best club comic at the American Comedy awards in 2014 and Stephen Colbert called her his "favorite comedian on planet Earth." She had a web series called Ask My Mom in which she was fielded viewers questions with her mom, it is free online. Her Netflix show Lady Dynamite is based on her own life.
Six of her specials were used for this mix: The Burning Bridges Tour 2003, How to Win! 2007, Unwanted Thoughts Syndrome 2009, Ask Me About My New God 2013, Plan B 2010, and The Special Special Special 2012. She has played voices in shows like Hey Arnold, CatDog, Home Movies, and Kung Fu Panda. I actually got to meet here while she was filming a movie at a historic hotel, the Eureka Inn, where there was an open mic which she performed at. When I saw here name on the list I thought somebody was just being a"silly goose".

these mixes are incredibly challenging to create, like 24 hours plus of combing material, sifting out the best bits and arranging them with some sort of flow. I was literally dreaming of hanging out with her I was so immersed in her material. Glad I got to meet her too, but kept that to myself haha. We went kayaking in my head. I got to meet her at an event. Didn't even know she'd be there, but on the set list it had MARIA BAMFORD on it in big letter. Thought somebody was just being a weirdo and just after that she came up to me and started asking me questions about the show, haha. I was like "Oh shit, it is you".
