Hi thanks so much for the helpful video! I was wondering if you used an OEM track or aftermarket and if you have used the aftermarket track, is it any good.

I bought them at a Bobcat dealer. They are Bridgestone branded tracks. I have only used dealer supplied tracks.

Do you find that putting the track on the idler pulley first instead of the drive sprocket first to be easier?

These small tracks are fairly easy so does not matter much. Taking off it is certainly easier to pry on the drive side. as the sprocket will pull the pry tool around to the front. Going back on to pry on the idler would require either a helper to control the drive, or turning the body around so you can reach the controls and not having the bucket stabilizing the back end. With larger machines and much stiffer tracks it is usually easier to pry on the idler side, and have a helper to control the drive motor. So on these small machines I think it is best to have help if doing it on the idler and if alone go for the drive sprocket.

Have to assume the same procedure could be used on my 331

Most rubber tracked equipment is similar. The 331 is larger. With the heavier and stiffer tracks, it is sometimes easier to pry the track on the idler side. Like in this video ua-cam.com/video/Az-g66-Wsqo/v-deo.html
On the 331 do not loosen the grease zerk to release the grease, instead loosen the grease bleed fitting about one turn, it is just aft of the grease zerk. Your track is also tensioned to a gap of 2.05 inch (52 mm) from the track frame to the track. Good time to check all the idler bearings. Also check the drive sprocket teeth as when they wear out the track tends to get torn.

@@robb1165 thanks for the info. Will probably be doing this next year as the tracks are reaching the end of their life.

Hello, how many hours do you have on the machine?

    • @robb1165

It is a 2015 model, with 1194 hours. Bought it from the Bobcat dealer with about 900 hours use as a rental.

Never tried it that way, not sure how it would work out.
