The thing we as working men and women need to realize is we can't keep buying things we can't afford and expect to get ahead. It took me 20 years to realize that I don't need a fancy truck or house to make me happy, very little debt and being able to take a few days off without it killing me makes all the difference in the world. I used to be the man that had two boys and a wife with bills I couldn't pay but now they're grown and it's just the wife and myself and I'm only 42 years old. Life is too short to be a slave to the debt machine.
I came to the same conclusion in life, at 36 years old I realized I’d been living wrong. 3 years ago I put almost 14k in a bank account and was broke within a month and have nothing to show for myself but the stupidity and arrogance that blinded me. I learned my lesson about carelessness and now I work a 9-5 with two part time jobs to rebuild what my foolishness and greed destroyed (my bank wants to see my account balance improve) so I’ll have what I need
Amen. My wife and I live simple. She staya at home with our 2 month old baby girl. I have 2 labor intensive jobs One full time one part time. I work 6 days a week for about $700/wk after taxes. We have a 26' trailer, her small SUV (paid off) and my small truck (company expense). I enjoy my life and my free time with my family. Cant wait to start taking my baby girl fishing.
Life's about building a happy family to make sense coming back home after working hard whatever your job is. Providing for them is the most important thing you can do. Why? Because all of this is temporary and will end up in a couple of years but what you've built will go on for the future. Your genes will live in the future generations as well as your history if you did it well.
I do landscape mowing and snow removal, last winter was rough for us who do snow removal in central Indiana. This song was on repeat almost every day. Help lifted my mood, when bills were piling up and pennies were being pinched
@@amberdent651 they definitely don’t. People see all the trucks and equipment and think that guy has money, but what they fail to see is the cost of that stuff and what it takes to keep them running, snow removal is hell on equipment especially pick up trucks.

Creed Fisher, you are the man!!! There is a lot of us who can relate to the meaningful and powerful words in this song!! I really needed to hear this today!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
I had my first child when I was 17. I worked 2 jobs to pay rent and keep food on the table while I walked 3 miles to work because a car couldnt be afforded. I never took a dime of welfare. I just kept working I now have 4 children, My homes paid for, I own a small cabin up in the hills of Oklahoma, and I have few toys to play with. The media and big business would have us believe that being rich and wearing a suit to work makes us successful. I believe success is relative. I am now the CEO of a small internet company but that's not where I succeeded in life. The beautiful family I have created and worked so hard to support is what got me to where I am today. My wife and children are my greatest accomplishments in life.

Are wages are too low. the cost of living is to high, the song says it all. This guy should be way bigger than he is. What a badass song, I owned a trucking business and the pay has been the same since about the mid-90s but the cost of living has tripled. Then they wonder why we can't save for our retirement. That's hard to do when all your money goes straight to bills and servival.
Fact!! I was making 12.50 an hour in 2000, went into the military for 6 years active duty, got out and pay now in that same job I left at 19 is still the same to day. Good thing I'm in a different job field but just throwing out the example.
Don't think he's advocating for socialist min wage laws. Think he's advocating for lower taxes. If you haven't managed to get more pay sinces the 90's then your either not trying or stupid. Don't rely on the government to raise your pay do it yourself use the market
@@codyrush9520 advocating for socialist bud. When you say play the market. There's many different markets, real estate market ,stock market. I wasn't saying me directly in the 90s I was a small kid. So for the narrow-minded let me help you out. Gas was $0.96 a gallon now it's 2.50 or $3.00 . Therefore that's doubling or tripling the cost of living. Look at food prices. they have tripled, along with utilities, and general commodities.I don't have a problem playing the (markets) or making money. So just to sum up your comments of stupidity. I wanted to open your eyes to how the cost of living has tripled, and wages have not been increased to the inflation level we're seeing .

I love music, and one of my biggest frustrations is that music is infinite. No matter how many songs I hear and know and love, there will always be songs that I’ll never hear or know, which I would’ve loved, if I’d ever heard them. This would’ve been one of those never known songs, if not for circumstance. This song is so beautiful, so genuinely American, and so true.
Been working to jobs for 20 years but that's ok . I wake up and got to work but pass my dads house every morning and stop and have coffee with him and think about how hard he worked for his family so im ok with it
Stick with it, Chuck. All of what you do has its reward. As for coffee with your Dad, treasure those times, they go by so quickly. Sometimes I think about my Dad and the life He gave us kids. That was a long time ago. They've all gone, but I do have some great memories to revisit from time to time. Don't give up. Your boy needs you.

I’m in New Zealand, but would really love to head over to the US and meet people (wife hopefully hehe) ,work hard, and have some experiences, always loved the USA.
It takes a strong woman to be a truckers girl.
Creed, please keep 'em cranking...I can't get enough of your sound....start everyday with This Place Called USA!
I'm 57 and up at 3am every morning working til 3:30pm love the songs very relatable
I wished the President and Congress would listen to this song.
It's nice to finally see a real country singer!! Great work sir! God bless and keep up the good work!🇺🇸
I grew up listening to Country music, but it's been a LOOOOONG time since someone sang so many songs that spoke so deeply to my soul! Thank you, Creed!!!!
Really good song, speaks to the Backbone of America, the working class.
Love This Song. This is Real Country Music. When The George Jones Song ask Whose Gonna Feel Their Shoes,Creed's One That Will.
Dad, thank you for dedicating 61 years of your life to providing for my sisters, mom, and me. Your hard work has given us a wonderful life. You are a skilled HVAC technician and master of all trades. It's time for you to transition to part-time work. We love you, and we are grateful for everything you've done.
Amen brother. Workin men build this country and dont know any that arnt proud of what they earn

My dad fought in ww2 then the Korean war he retired after he put in 21yrs. He hopped a train from Missouri at age 17 enlisted in the army and he loved it. After his retirement he worked at eagle pitcher he and his friends were blue collar workers. He worked.there till he died of colon cancer. He was a very proud AMERICAN

Amen brother
My husband and I have been married for over 36 years and our motto is “ live below your mean “
@@hbrowneyes4981 love this
I came to the same conclusion in life, at 36 years old I realized I’d been living wrong.
I have 2 labor intensive jobs
One full time one part time.
Indiana here to bud
Hey man, as someone who got dug out in central IN last winter, big thanks. They absolutely don't pay y'all enough.
@@amberdent651 they definitely don’t. People see all the trucks and equipment and think that guy has money, but what they fail to see is the cost of that stuff and what it takes to keep them running, snow removal is hell on equipment especially pick up trucks.
About time we had a new real country music man that sung the damn truth! Thank you Creed
Say A prayer for Creed, he had a serious motorcycle crash yesterday. Recovery will be months
I'm still in school. Work every day after school bought my first truck with my own money and proud of it.
Good for you, bet your parents are proud of that.
I worked 3 jobs while still in high school. Keep up the good work!!
Goodman!!!
And you should be. Your parents should be also. It sounds like you have morals
Good for you man. My kids did the same. You'll turn out fine.
God bless this great country!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
2 children. 3 jobs. 1 God.
Better man than me! I work 50-55 hours a week framing houses. Have one kid and a wife. Plus take care of yard duties and everything else around the house. No way I’m working 70 plus hour weeks.
Creed Fisher, one hard working man and it shines through his work. This guy someday will be recognized for the outstanding artist he is. ❤💯🔥
Amen to this song. I live it every day.
song sums it up. pave roads for a living. Hard work, long hours, six days a week. Buy bills are paid and love it!
Creed Fisher, you are the man!!! There is a lot of us who can relate to the meaningful and powerful words in this song!! I really needed to hear this today!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
Working class will never die. 25 years old with a son on the way. We’re a different breed, and unfortunately a dying breed.
Working poor is one paycheck from being on the street.
@Anon Patriot except the government well tax ur kids whatever you pass on to them. Aka death tax
nope .......not a dying breed the ONLY breed needed and the ONLY breed that will ULTIMATELY keep this country running!!!! God Bless !!!!!!!!!!!
I'm only 20 and are breed won't die till I'm dead💪
What I would’ve give to have this song back in the day , this song resonates true ♥️👍🏻 when I was bustin ‘My ass raising My kids all on My own , No help from Anyone, no help from government hand outs , . I literally broke My back ..., I have 3 slipped Vertabras,& 2 spine diseases , every disc in My entire spine are Bulged... due to My HARD work ... I’d do it all over again 👍🏻😉♥️. For My Son turned out to be a Fine Young Man that busts His ass !
So True and I Know and Feel your Back pain as I deal with the same Issues with the Back, It Hurts and its not easy. God Bless you on all you do.
Just listened to this at work. I work in a steel mill putting in 80,90 hours a week. Today I’m on my 4th double shift in a row.
I work 70+ and im exhausted... More power to you
Are wages are too low. the cost of living is to high, the song says it all.
I completely agree with you I also own a trucking company
Just like my stepdad just passed away tomorrow is his funeral worked very hard his whole life sometimes two jobs to make ends meet not spending for things that wasn't needed, can't afford to burry him! So sad! Just a grave side service! Blessings
I'm 52 years old and I'm the superintendent of a construction company that builds houses.
I have seven houses going right now that are over 6000 ft² on top of a small farm with livestock.
I get up and go at it everyday and probably will to the day I die! I'm proud of who I am because I know that the middle class working man built this country and carries it on their backs!
Amen Brother.
Y'all Have A Blessed Day
MAN I HEAR YOU ON THIS. IM A TRUCK DRIVER AND ALWAYS UP AT 0430 . GOT TO PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE. TH HE SUITS WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND. DAMN GOOD SONG.
I don't know if you ever hear this or not but thank you for all you go through to provide us with what we need. I know y'all have it hard out there on the road these days thanks to people that have never drove a truck or spent a day in the life of a driver making laws and regulations on trucks. keep the bugs off the glass and the bears off your... and may god be with you every mile
Leave my house between 2-230 Monday thru Saturday get home between 7-8 pm gone from dark to dark just to make sure I can provide for my wife and kids the life of a working man is the real dream
Lets all promote this man he is underrated his shit should be popping off lets share his stuff to as many people as possible and live all your songs man amazing work
I know the feeling brother every day. I'm a woman but im the bread winner in this house and unloading trucks and stacking freight every day ain't the easiest. Thank you for this song
My hats off to you sister.
Up at 3am and not home till 7pm 6 to 7 days a week since I was 17 so the life of a workin man ain’t east but it feels good knowing you worked for everything you got.
this song really hits home with me! no truer words have ever been said!
Hey Creed those 191 people don't know nothing about working and they damn sure don't know nothing about music , keep up the Awsome Music
Proud! Thanks for what you& your dad has done! Blessings
You dont need God because you have your self you are a God of your own God bless you all ..love
And take that for everything it's worth every morning having him there
When are people ( 1%ers)going to realize they have to pay a living wage!! Young people learn a trade & join a Union! You don't need a college education! Start out as an apprentice, get paid a living wage, pension, healthcare, benefits, annuity & vacation pay! You can retire with dignity! See you in 30 years!!!!! I did!!
This song should be all over the radio. Get out of the way cmt and let country music back in!
My family are farmers and my fathers work was never done .
7 days a week long hours
God bless the working man .
From someone that works at a scrapyard i thank you, people don't realize the importance of scrapyards probably one of the most important jobs economically.
The job YOU work happens to be one of the most important economically......

This is country ! The crap on the radio is too hip hop
intel 0116 depends honestly, Josh Turner has kept it pretty real. And it also depends on the radio station
Yeah for sure, Pop country is poop. I never listen to the local country stations. I like common folk music, not Brittney Spears in a cowboy hat.
Renegade Zach just because josh has a good voice doesn’t mean he kept it country. He sold out a long time ago, but if can turn it around, he could be a country legend. His voice is amazing but he is letting Nashville produce his music
hairnation1985 take a look at his album I serve a savior. There’s nothing hip about it
Renegade Zach it’s a gospel album. And go listen to “Hometown girl” nothing country about that eithier
Life sucks a lot, being away from wife and kiddos, when songs like this put hard work into perspective…….. All the blood, sweat, and suffer suddenly turns into an enjoyment to provide the amazing life my family gets to live!! Wouldn’t have it any other way!!!! I’m proud of what I’ve “ WE’VE “ built!!!
Hell yeah Creed Fisher you are my favorite REAL country artist! The government don’t know about the struggle we bust out ass everyday while they just sit in a office and think they understand but they really don’t have a damn clue.💯 💯
4am to whenever. Pipeline life!

To my man that is gone two weeks and home two weeks. My baby does this for me and our presious family. I love you Kenny Ray Sessums. So ready for you to come home.
That's a rarity nowadays! When a man is out working that hard the woman is usually getting her needs met elsewhere. I'm glad to hear your loyalty because there is nothing like being away working and knowing some other man is in your bed!
Are you okay my dear
Been driving trucks since I was 22 fixing to turn 52 this month gone 6-8 weeks at a time have I have twin daughters missed a few birthdays and holidays to make sure they had a good life
