OnePlus 12 Switch From ColorOS To Global OxygenOS

- Follow the guide very carefully. Everything you do is at your responsibility!
- Download android platform tools.
- Download google drivers.
- Download the drivers from the ncphone website "Oppo_Latest_MTK_QCOM_Driver_Setup_V2.0.1.1"
- Enable developer mode, enable USB debugging, "OEM unlocking".
- With the phone connected via USB and the PC authorized, unlock bootloader by first rebooting phone with `adb reboot bootloader`.
- Using fastboot `fastboot flashing unlock` will unlock bootloader and wipe everrything.
- Run the .bat file from xda forum and follow the instructions
- If you want google wallet to work thereafter you have to re-lock the bootloader.

Super thank you, my experience not so smooth, just in case anyone have same problems as me: first stuck in the step fastboot device not show in cmd, try 3 hours google search and many way to install drivers from your link, and oneplus official driver and restart PC and finally could see it. And next stuck in red color flash screen tool, cannot find device, after turn off and cannot turn on, I think it is damage, try search in forums for a while and try hold a button for very long and it back to fastboot. Still stuck, open device manager and see ossi in other devices, choose update driver and pick ADB platform bootloader and install it from the oneplus official driver folder and finally see it in the flash screen, from there just follow the steps of the video to the end.
So it is all about the PC cannot recognise the device in fastboot but need driver install.

for folks who are experiencing "ERROR, WAITING DEVICE does not continue!", you would see an ossi device driver not recognized in your device manger. remember to map the driver as the post instructed. I forgot to do so at the very beginning.
My oneplus 12 delivered at 8:50pm at my home from China to UAE, I turn the phone on & observed chinese rom without any google apps, I search on google, how to shift to global rom.
Fortunately found this so helpful video, Well at 10:20pm my phone reboot to Global version with no issues.

@@l2zeusftw when the step was on that red .bat, it was stuck on waiting for device. Installed Qualcomm and android drivers to device manager and rebooted. Then the .bat went thru.

thank you, I try to re watch your video few time, and read on forum all the page on guide oneplus 12 before start doing upgrade firmware, first time see one file is fail, so I I try to flashing again, until all file are okay, now my phone is fine and run on oxygen OS.

Before unlocking the bootloader,we need to clear the lock screen password first, otherwise it may not be able to set lock screen password after unlocking

I felt different changing from Color Os to Oxygen Os.
Cons :
1. Haptic Feedback Overall feel, feels more lighter than Color Os. Color Os give the crispiest sensation, when unlocking phone.
2. Sound when unlocking and locking phone are more loud in Color Os. Feel better and nicer.
3. Refresh rate in Oxygen OS, mine are always in 120Hz when also standbying. It will reduce on some apps though. I've seen gsm arena video it can give 1 Hz ? But i never get those in Color Os or Oxygen Os. (Color Os only give me lowest rate is 10Hz)
Pros :
1. Chinese app are all gone.
the haptic feedback there's two options of vibration so maybe you chose the lighter sensation (which I prefer, personally). i'm sure you can fix it there. The con for me is that my kaspersky detects altered firmware which may lead to a hacked device in the future. that's my worry, if the people who made this placed something in the rom and in a few months will start hacking everyone without us suspecting it

1. In the description it says download google drivers, is there a link for them or i missed it somehow?
2. Will updating phone to newer colorOS versions impact this whole process or not?
3. I can do this on my work PC only, which uses proxy internet, will proxy impact any of the cmd apps in any way or not?

1.follow the steps only shown in the video.
2. When you are ready and lock the bootloader you can receive updates without any problem.
3. Proxy should not make any problems but to be honest I never try it.
@@SystemHacks By updates, i know relocking bootloader will enable updates, what i meant is that my colorOs version updated to PJD110_14.0.0.700 (CN01U90P00). Lot of people who are still on colorOs got this system update as of recently.
Can i still use PJD110_14.0.0.232 convert tool or i need to search for something newer?

Super useful video, I am planning on getting a Chinese OnePlus 12, since the price for America is way more expensive. Been able to change the ROM from ColorOS to OxygenOS is all I need. Thank bro! Forgot to ask....after OOS is installed do you still get the Chinese apps that came with ColorOS? I guess not.

Yes, you can relock the bootloader like at the end of the video. Probably seller will lock the bootloader too because they follow my guide

I installed the driver form the video but my device is not recognized in fastboot mode. I reinstalled twice and rebooted the laptop twice, even tried to load Qualcomm drivers manually from a folder in Device Manager, but there is always an "Android" unknown device in Device manager.
When I'm installing with phone plugged in, it keeps getting stuck on FTH flashing, rebooting into fastboot, then and the phone screen is fastbootd mode page

Awesome. I will have to see the price first after the official launch (23 January) to see if it is worth it. As I red in some forums (GSMarena), some phones were disabled after a few weeks by the manufacturer (mostly Redmi phones, which is also a partner company for Oneplus).
Does somebody know the official price for the Oneplus 12 in Europe? (not the chinese version, the official EU version that is sold by OP).

Yes, OnePlus 12 has wireless charging. Redmi is not a partner company of OnePlus. You probably mean Realme and yes they have different lock policy

Update: It came out today and it costs 1000 Euros. From TradingShenzen it costs 650-750 Euros. It comes lately with Oxygen OS (+30 euros)....so buying it without Oxygen OS and installing it sepparately is way cheaper.
And it's official, it doesn't have location lock, so it can be used worldwide (so buying the chinese version and reflashing Oxygen is the cheapest alternative).

I only know about the software differences between the two versions (that can be changed). Because not many users have the Global version yet, there is no documentation of the differences (if there are any). I tend to believe that there aren't any hardware differences, only the OS.
Edit: I see that many people are talking about the frequencies used by the SIM carriers. I haven't checked those differences (I only checked if the frequencies are compatible with the frequencies used by the carriers in my country => there is also a "compatibility sheet" on TradingShenzen )

Only difference is global has esim, when switching from CN to global the option is there but doesn't work. Apart from that it's the same

I am running into a problem where my PC doesn't recognize my phone. This causes me to be unable to run the script to re-lock bootloader (it has already been unlocked). Installing the drivers did not help and now it won't even show up under 'other devices', making it impossible for me to redownload the drivers. Any help, please?

Great video as always. But I have a request. I see a lot of interesting honor phones (honor 90 or 100), but they are on Chinese rom. Since they (some of them) are sold globally I presume that there's a global rom for each of them. Can you show us in a video how to flash global rom on an honor phone? Thanks.
Sadly Huawei policy for unlocking bootloader is very different and you can't switch like that 😞

More bands will not be unleashed because that's a hardware. But can't confirm it 100% because China and global model may share same hardware.

Region lock is not connected with firmware. For Region lock, ask the shop where you will buy it.

Very nice TUTORIAL! It worked but I'm facing the region locked issue. I bought directly in China from oneplus/Oppo and the only way for them to help me is remotely access the phone but it requires Color OS. You know where can I find the color OS rom to download? (I've searched everywhere and it seems no one is looking for color OS) Probably needs to do the same procedure you have showed us right?

Supported bands will not change, certification is L1, esim is not working(missing hardware).

Yes, all notifications are working perfectly. For lightning, I can't confirm because I never use it.

What is the difference in supported 5G/LTE radio bands between the China version and the global version? I'd much rather have the white phone vs. black or green, but not at the expense of missing radio bands.

OK, I found the issue. First thing is what @systemHacks says in the video, just follow. Even if he says to wait, WAIT!. Second, go to the device manager of your computer and install the ossi driver as "Android bootloader interface".
Hi, can you lose Google Certificate on chinese OnePlus phone after some time, please?
I heard this from OnePlus 9 Pro chinese phone owner. Then he stopped to be able to use some company features, which require extra security settings, like company apps Teams, Outlook, etc.
It worked at first, but after some system updates the certificate was gone.
Other than that, everything worked fine, no problem for casual user without the need od these extra features.
I've never heard of such a problem and never experienced it.

Hello, i want to ask. Im about to buy OP 10pro but its Chinese version. The seller told me they can install global rom( oxygen OS) to it and it can be able to receive OTA updates and NFC updates would work.

Mine doesn't have any region lock until now but some devices appear with region lock mostly buyed after the Global launch.

Otas are arrived and everything works perfectly only esim is not supported for Chinese model. Be sure you check for region lock
OP11's China version had region lock where if we didn't insert a local chinese sim card when the phone was still in China, the call feature would be locked after 2 weeks. I'm not sure if OP12 has this feature as well, but to be safe, I had a local sim card inserted when the phone was still in China. If we reset our phone, would the call feature still be kept "unlocked"?
No, OnePlus 12 doesn't have a region lock you can proceed safely

i dont know but i have question when i convert it to global version since 5 month start suddenly restart and i couldn't find any solution for that so if there is any way to fix this problem before i convert it back to Chinese version
Did you try factory reset? Reasons can be many and for me problem is hiding somewhere else
@@SystemHacks i have been tried everything nothing work and to be honest after one day of using color os i did not fined any different between color os and oxygen os expect network in color os you cant change between 4g to 5g manually and auto fill google password not working in color os otherwise dail app and message app its much better in color os i think i will gonna like it more this way hehehe
