Hello Neighbor SHADOW MAN Locations in All Acts and Cutscenes (Full Game)

- The Shadow Man is a spooky shadow figure that can be seen throughout many locations in the entire game. Sometimes he is just silently standing in the background or lurking through the windows, sometimes he can give you a nice jumpscare and sometimes you even have to confront him.
This video shows all the places where the Shadow Man appears in the full game, inluding all the cutscenes and different maps.
The Shadow Man doesn't appear in the first two acts. His first appearance is in Act 3. He can be seen multiple times in the beginning cutscenes when you approach both the neighbor's house and yours. Next, he appears in all of the fear levels, either lurking in the darkness or staring out the windows. He even appears in the secret gym level that cannot be accessed without the use of a trainer or console commands.
In the final act you need to protect a boy from the him as you gradually grow in size each time you manage to protect him. Finally, in the end, the Shadow Man is trying to get inside the neighbor's room while he is hopelessly staring outside a window.

Somewhere in the act 2 basement, you can actually hear some heavy breathing and that is shadow man's breathing he cannot be spotted in the act 2 basement, but his breathing may get more heavier and louder.
You can hear steps,breathing and opening gates

I'm not sure if that is meant to be The Thing, the only noises it makes are those terrifying ear grading noises (I don't know how to describe them)

You missed one, in act 3 at the room where you have to make the photo. You can find shadowman in the bed.

Meowscles is right, in Act 3, in the copy the picture bedroom(to unlock the generator for the keycard) you can find shadow man under the bed with an appearance like Aaron in one of the cutscenes of hello neighbor hide n seek.

Tiny Build has stated that they found a way to tie The Guest into every Hello Neighbor game

I dont know if this happens to someone else or its just me, but everytime i see the shadow, i feel like chills in all the body and i dont even wanna see it or be close to that thing.
Shadow man is Aaron's soul that came from hell. Yet, Aaron survived in the burning house (Reality), shadow man still took the soul as Aaron because Aaron did so many bad things in hello neighbor: hide and seek, he killed his sister on accident by pushing her off and yet not accepting his consequences which led him to getting locked in the basement for his safety not to get exposed to the FBI. In act 4 you also saw shadow man standing on the basement stairs still just like when Aaron was locked in there. And when in the beginning of act 3 and 1, act 1 showed us Mr. Peterson locking Aaron away in the basement, and act 3 our dream sequence we saw Mr. Peterson doing the same actions as if locking Aaron again, which the moment of truth signified where the shadow man was hiding in the basement. Shadow man has many names and isn't just Aaron's soul, he is also just a visual of our childhood trauma, there's a difference between fear and trauma, (Fear is something being afraid of while trauma means something you can't let go of from the past). Which makes sense why he is always watching us go through progress in the minigames. Shadow man was here in act 3 to make us conquer our trauma and to get over it. However, while act 3 being created for us to conquer our trauma, it also backfired on him as we lost all of our worries about the past. The only reason why in the shed at the end of the finale when Mr. Peterson was in a separate room with shadow man is because it is representing Aaron being furious at him of being locked away and not telling him the truth, also the guilt that forced Mr. Peterson to accept his past of his wife and daughter getting killed. Yet Mr Peterson didn't and started to get mentaly ill and which is why in the beta 2 and hello neighbor 2, he disguises himself as (Crow man), and acting as if Mr Peterson, ( Himself), getting kidnapped to hide the evidence.

It kinda makes sense but before the final boss battle with him you see him forcing the neighbor to put up missing posters and if Aaron and Nicky were friends why was "Aaron's soul" trying to kill his childhood friend
@@HelloandHiwelcome Lets not forget that this is all a dream, and shadow man isn't trying to "kill" us shadow man is just trying to make us not conquer our trauma. I don't know how else to explain this, but we were the only kid in the neighborhood who was close with the neighbor and would always spy on him; we were the only ones who were greatly affected with the neighbor's loss. And act 2 was when we were mostly connected with Aaron as he helped us escape the basement. That was our last time seeing him as a child. And for the part you said for the missing posters, that is just representing shadow man as Aaron, the only one and the surviving child. It's just showing us that to connect the dots, we need to know who shadow man is and we know he is Aaron and that's why he is staring at the neighbor as he is greatly terrified and wants to let go of the past and move on with his dad, but of course our neighbor couldn't move on.

@@HelloandHiwelcome I don't know who's breathing back there. But here's one, why would shadow man be in the basement if it's in act 2? Act 1 and 2 are reality acts, so therefore it can't be shadow man, it must be Aaron.

Actually it isn't a gym, it's a factory level that was made and scrapped in the beta stages of the game.
