      Yeah, the way the finger pocket is formed is really deep and the liner is pretty rigid so I also have a lot of soreness around my finger tips and inner part of my thumb.

    hey so i’ve been really interested in these casanova gloves but im not sure how they’d hold up in sparring regarding if theyre soft enough and would you recommend the hybrid over lace-up or does it even matter in that regard?

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  5 років тому +1

      They would be fine for sparring tbh. I would get the lace up, the hybrid strap is ok and adds a little more wrist support but you still need to use laces regardless because the inner palm can’t secure any other way.

  • @sedjrkix
    @sedjrkix 4 роки тому +1

    Hello, I was wondering if you would recommend the velcro strap instead of the hybrid model? I'm planning on ordering their tri-color model but can't decide between the two because I like the lace model but dont always have someone around to tie, especially now lol. Gonna be used just for a heavy bag but I was wondering if the support would be the same throughout the entire hand in the velcro model?

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  4 роки тому +2

      Go with the velcro, I hate the hybrid model as the laces get stuck to the velcro and it just makes it harder to put on

    Everyone’s hands are different, but in my opinion Casanova is wayyy more protective than Reyes. Reyes is thinner and softer, I’ve felt my hands hit bone on bone to sparring partners elbows etc. the Reyes laytex “crushes” down much easier. So yeah Casanova is more “stiff” but I prefer that. My 16oz Casanova I prefer for sparring, nice big surface to block punches and practice your guard safely. In my opinion Casanova/necalli is very underrated. Between my friends and myself we all have multiple brands, Reyes, top boxer, ringside, Casanova, everlast, title. Etc etc…..gotta say pound for pound leather quality, safety, support….Casanova works best for me. Highly underrated. This company has been being misrepresented for YEARS. Back in the day people called them “illegal gloves” cuz the detached thumb. All gloves had detached thumbs back in the day. Everyone just repeats things they hear. Nowadays Casanova is taking a hit from this fake company making fake gloves with the Casanova name…another crime. Casanova is a AMAZING glove

    Excellent informative video, I have the same exact gloves with same color scheme, I can say that the quality of those from the outside is far better than my sabas proseries and supersoft due to sabas using genuine leather, however, its the opposite on the inside comfort wise as I also have medium hands, I have one comment though 😜 those gloves are top grain not full grain

    Hi, I already own some hayabusa T3s but I've been looking for a glove with more of a boxing feel and a nice pop when hitting correctly. I am between the rival rb10s and sabas pro series. in your opinion, which between these two would you pick? any other glove suggestions are welcome. thank you. pd: subscribers suggestions are also welcomed

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  5 років тому +1

      I would go with the Sabas Pro Series as its a better overall gym-use glove. The RB10's are great "bag" gloves, but the padding is very stiff (for protection and shock absorption) and theres a plastic d-ring for the wrist lock system that you definitely shouldnt use for sparring.

    Has your leather/paint cracked? I've used mine quite intensely for prob 2 weeks/month or so and I wanted to know if that's normal

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  5 років тому +2

      Not yet, I wouldnt say its normal for only being 2 weeks to a month old, that seems a bit premature...I know that some metallic colors tend to fade/ crack faster than standard dyed leather colors but anything under a month is premature. Also depends on how intense youre using your gloves and how well you take care of them. I know some guys who beat the crap out of their gloves, use them for hours every day, sweat all over them, then just toss them on the floor or their gym bag, so take that into consideration as well.

    I was interested in getting their hook & loop gloves but ive read that they are not as good quality as the other models. Do you know if that is true? Ive also read this is the case for most Mexican gloves.

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  5 років тому +4

      I’ve never heard of that tbh, and doesn’t really make any sense whatsoever. Why would a velcro strap glove have any different quality than a lace up? The construction of the glove is pretty much the same aside from the inner palm and back side where they either add a leather strap or for laces, just put holes along the wrist closure. To me I think the quality is the same regardless imo.

      JC Boxing hard fight to predict, conventional wisdom says Spence, but Mikey has the experience advantage and I think is a better technical boxer from his experience as well. But he may have crossed a bridge too far, I think Spence could stop him late maybe 10th or 11th round. But it’s boxing so you never know, Mikey could surprise us all as he took this fight for a reason, which we’ll see how it unfolds

    Do you think someone with long fingers would find the thumb comfortable? I've long hands but find the thumb way too short and awkward in Cleto Reyes. Is the lining similar in roughness to Grant training gloves? Thanks for putting up another great review. I'm thinking of getting Campeon which look similar

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  5 років тому +2

      It will be a little more comfortable if you have long fingers because it would drop your hands lower and the thumb wont be so far up into the seam. The lining is smoother than Grant, doesnt have that same canvas feel, however the padding is stiff, so there will be discomfort breaking it in. Appreciate the support!

I want to use it for sparring mainly for sparring... Need some help. I dont want to waste money getting the wrong glove.

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  5 років тому +2

      Authentic Casanova’s are now called Necalli which can be found on Necallis website. The Casanova’s on amazon are ripoffs made in Pakistan by pro boxing supplies who were sued by Necalli for stealing their name. As far as sizing goes for smaller hands I’d probably go with fighting sport, which are more comfortable and form fitting. Casanova’s are big gloves even for medium sized hands and I think you wouldn’t be happy with them.

      I personally like New Sporting over Casanova. Quality wise they're about equal, but the hand compartment feel and overall comfort is better in the New Sporting. Padding in the New Sporting is also a little more protective than the Casanova which is more of a punchers glove. GIL used to be Zepol.

      @@csquaredboxing I just put a order in for a custom new sporting glove, what determines if a glove has that broken in feel? The leather?

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  5 років тому +1

      Made2last the leather and the foam typically. If the leather is usually thicker in great it will be tight and stiff. So the glove will feel stiffer because the leather hasn’t flexed at all. Same with foam padding, some companies do a nice job blending different types of foam to give the glove a more loose feel so to speak. Some use stiffer padding like injected molded foam which takes a while to break in. I would compare it to a new baseball glove, it’s usually kind of rigid at first but after a year of using it, it literally has formed to your hand. Just from the constant catching and feel of the curvature of your hand it breaks into.
