Accessorizing the TLX Type S

- Finally got around to adding a little more flair to this ride. So far it's received tinted windows, all-weather mats, a trunk cargo mat, a full-sized spare tire, side underbody skirts, rear underbody skirts, and illuminated door sills.

Stay tuned, I promise I have plenty of "Old Honda/Acura" content in the pipeline, too. I just finished a light restoration on my 1989 Prelude 4WS that a lot of you have been asking about, and I can't wait to show you how it turned out!
Hey brother, I’ve got one on order and I love what you have done to it. Does the car have enough clearance to get over speed bumps? Just wondering. Got a few of them at work.

I didn't quite realize how many options there were for the TLX Type S. Looks aggressive but still classy with the kit on it, and very practical touch with the full size spare (and cool there was room for it in the trunk without eating all of the space.)

You'll be ready to tackle Canadian winters with those Type S branded all weather floor mats and trunk liner. All that is left to do is take a road trip north in January. Seriously, the accessories you got really enhance the look of your already stunning looking TLX.

Man the more I look at that tiger eye pearl paint the more I fall in love with it. I'm not sure I've ever really seen a color quite like it, but my goodness is it gorgeous on that TLX chassis 😍

I swapped the black spoiler with the Acura Accessory Carbon Fiber one and did Acura carbon fiber kit for doors and center. I highly recommend it especially with your interior and exterior color. Looks good. Looking forward to your adventures with ur TLX.

Those rubber mats are a must and the body kit looks killer. Not sure if you follow Acura Honda Classics channel but they do install videos and other stuff and did a install of the body kit on a similar Type S. Looks amazing Tyson! I myself finally found the oem body kit for my 03 Type S. Can’t wait to get it in, painted and installed.

Hey Tyson, Nice video . Thank you for sharing. Congrats on your car. It looks awesome with the all the mods. I got mine just about 6 weeks ago in the process of adding accessories ( following your lead ). Got the all weather kit and Type S valve stems. I had a couple of questions about the accessories and thought of asking here. Hope you don’t mind. I am looking for a spare tire as well and given challenges of finding a donut spare , I am leaning towards getting a full size , like you did. You mentioned the mat lifted up by a couple of inches and It seems like the full size spare fit in fairly easily into the wheel well. I am assuming you didn’t have to make any mods to the battery cables? IN regards to the side underbody skirts, how far do they stick out? I have teenage kids and wondering if it will get scratched and thinking of getting the skirts and wait a few years to install them. Thanks
I didn’t make any modifications to the battery enclosure. The side skirts do add some width to the body. I notified that the first couple times getting in and out.

Awesome build!! I’ve tried to order the same car from Acura of Tempe too, but Acura has not been accepting any TLX orders for the last 4 months. I’m here in Arizona as well, so can you tell me where you got your side skirts installed? Also, do you have the part numbers for the Y-spoke rim as I can only get the car with the stock wheels.
Too bad this wasn't a week ago, I just sold my TLX and you probably could have bought mine. I had the side skirts installed by HonMan in Tempe. The Y spoke wheel part number is 42800-TGZ-A80

Ordered my 2022 Acura tlx type s with performance tires. Does it come with the front spoiler already? I plan on add the side and rear spoilers, door sill type s, MAYBE welcome light. Also the rear diffuser is stock as well? Sorry so many questions.

The part number will vary depending on your TLX paint color
On the lower side skirts, did you order them color matched to your car? And it came with the black accent in it as is shown?, I recently purchased them in black but after opening the box the whole side piece is black, when my car is red 🤦🏽♀️ I only wanted the accent black piece the rest to be same red as my car
I ordered them color matched and they have the black portion

I was going to do the same with the spare tire thingy but was worried that it would move around touch the battery and cause a short on hard turns was there any issues with it staying put thanks.

What’s up Tyson. Man that Type S nice. I had the regular the TLX as a loaner last week. Man it’s a big long car. 4 cylinder surprised me how quick it moves. I can imagine the 355 hp. I think it’s 30% tint and I got the rear skirts at Ron Tonkin Acura in Portland

I’ll have to find the receipt. The sides and rear are sold separately, and they come pre-painted
