    Billy was the lead guitarist for Hank Ballard and The Midnighters for 30 years. Billy Davis is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Doo Wop Hall of Fame, and National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame. He was also the lead guitarist for Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson, Joe Tex, Ben E. King, and many other artists. Billy was a mentor and friend of Jimi Hendrix.
