So, we have only see them twice in the last few months and both times it felt very awkward because it almost seemed forced on their end and I think they had an ulterior motive on why they wanted to meet and when they weren't getting what they wanted it was time for them to leave. Divorce is not against our religion. It isn't encouraged as the be-all answer to problems, but we realize that sometimes, it is the only answer if both people aren't willing to work on the marriage, or if abuse is happening, or other reasons. It is so sad to me that he manipulated this young lady by saying divorce is against his religion, but murder, adultery, pedophilia and other horrible things are apparently okay to him. It makes me sick. His sweet wife is such an amazing person to me, and her family. I am working on forgiveness for things in my life, and they are true inspirations to me.
Nor does the Bible. HOWEVER, not that elaborates it does state certain situations are grounds for divorce without it being biblically against the Word. Thank you for your comment.
Annie, you have such a talent for telling these stories and I bet the families of the deceased respect and appreciate you letting their loved one’s voices be heard. Thank you

Can you do video for Maddy Middleton. She is my cousin and her life was taken at 8 years old by a 15 year old boy. The laws changed during his court process and he may be getting release in October after only 9 years. I absolutely do not believe the story about forgiveness. I think she created that because she maybe thought it would make her look better and wanted leniency
WHAT IS WRONG WHIT SOME PEOPLE?? you want to get out of a marriage, ok, divorce, simple....you want to do everything for the person you love, ok, but murder!!!!no no no, not normal at all
It bugs me when people think the very few idiot/unethical/corrupt/inept law enforcement officials represent the masses. I despise cops or any agency who do shit that makes the whole industry look bad but not as much as the majority of LEOs who actually respect the law and still consider themselves and their peers as he good guys. Unfortunately, stories about LE who do the right thing, day in and day out for the duration of their entire career don’t make good content. That’s unfortunate because almost every single man and woman I’ve met (as a daughter AND wife of ethical law enforcement officers) have respected their oath. There have been one or two who have veered ofer the proverbial thin blue line and witnessed them the called out, reported and one fired. Both were never part of our lives after.
There's too many policemen with huge egos that goes before what's really good for the cases. They don't want to share information and believe that they're the soloist that only can solve the case. And they want all the credit for solving it. It's truly disturbing how many cases that has been suffering and not solved because of these egos. When I was little I always thought that it was only the best of the best that could work with these kinds of work. Where your performance impact so many others and/or victims. Sadly, as an adult, I've learned that isn't the case. Some police is seriously a more danger to their position in line of work, than to any asset. And this isn't just for police, it's for politicians etc. All for their personal egos. Almost as bad as the criminals.
My cousins Dad has been missing for 5 months small town in Ohio so it’s not out there- if you bring some attention to this case . It’s Mike Bolen in McGuffy Ohio , Hardin County . Police Department . Please they need answers
I recently served on a jury, and learned how much the police need to be consciously aware of what they say, do, and the photos they take. They can make or break a case. We live in a country that you are innocent until proven guilty in a criminal trial. The DA has to PROVE guilt. If details are eliminated, it will affect the outcome of a trial.
The husband knew exactly what he was doing. He planned it and picked someone out that he could control and convince her they would be together. He should have gotten life with no possibility of ever getting out! A truly evil person.
Not when he didn't do the actual killing. That's why Gypsy Rose only got 7 yrs. She didn't kill her mom. They also didn't listen when he asked for a lawyer TWICE which is against the law and there have been cases where the entire case is thrown out or overturned because they didn't stop when they asked for a lawyer.
Absolutely! I have been betrayed by my stuff for so long! Moved into my home 8 years ago and remember thinking “there’s SO much space, I could never fill it”. Boy was I wrong! A son moving to and from college, then eventually out on his own. A surprise baby at age 40. Water in the basement on multiple occasions. The stuff accumulated at a ridiculous rate! Thank goodness I found your channel about a year or so ago and I have slowly but surely been going thru it. Made some great progress when I finally got my basement fixed and we had to get a dumpster. I let go of the guilt and feeling like I needed to sell everything to make money back. I’ve donated so much to family, friends and charity and that feels so good! If it wasn’t worth donating, it went right in the dumpster! Still have a long way to go but the fact that my house is becoming so much easier to manage and keep clean and organized makes the work worth it! I am motivated to continue!
Been there with FL hurricanes, 2005 that tore part of the roof off. In 1986 my home I owned burned down, while it was a rental, after I moved to FL. The renters barely made it out alive. I am so thankful they did! Kids set it on fire. It was a condo & it had to be rebuilt. In 2015, my Father asked me to move up North to take care of him, he was blind from macular degeneration & in his 90's. Three floors of my Dad's 1950s house, flooded from bad copper pipes, I replaced them. This stuff happens! Stay strong, I know the frustration, I am 70 and it has been a long road. "If it "ain't" one thing, it's another." 🥀🥀🥀 Watch the movie "The Money Pit" with Tom Hanks. It is about the troubles in home ownership & a comedy. It will help!
So... it sounds like you have a family like mine. They move in, but they never move their stuff out. I am in the same boat. I am a bit salty about it. It is overwhelming at age 62.

Lisa's father was in the military so he had insurance through the military, his daughter would have been allowed to be on his insurance as a dependent so she had access to the alleged mental health care and medication that she needed. So her not being able to get it is a bs lie.
Maybe she confused DOA with DUI? Maybe because one is more familiar than the other? The human brain is wild I don't have a good explanation but I was asking myself that too.
Of course he got the bigger sentence. HE is the one that wanted Cathy dead! He had no business being married to this sweet woman! But this: who is to say that Cathy really forgave her? Lisa could have made that one up, for her own peace of mind.
This is crazy, hopefully they never get out jail, it's his fault but hers too! She could stop the murder and save her life just to tell the police his plans, but she decided to go forward with it, so sad! Very sad for that young lady

Amazing video as always Annie! It warms my heart to see your subscriber count over 1 mil! I’ve been here since you had 10k subscribers and watching your channel grow into what it is today is nothing short of well deserved! You have grown so much as a person and and as a UA-camr, influencer, podcaster, etc ❤️
As a nurse I have held the hand of the dying many times but it was elderly patients. It was still so sad but they got a chance to live their life. These are so so upsetting bc typically it’s people who are much much younger that never get that chance. 😢
Not to bash you but it bothers me when people say death isn't as sad when the person is elderly because "they lived their life". To me the amount of years a person has lived doesn't matter, death is soul crushingly devastating.
We live in such a sick world. Everyone seems to think they have "The right" to do anything and everything with no consideration of life, or another's right to live a life, or how it effects anyone but themselves and their own gratification.
I'll say one name, Ellen Greenberg. She supposedly stabbed herself 20 times in her head (back of her head btw), neck and chest. I still can't believe her fiance hasn't been arrested for her murder and that it's still down as suicide!! 😢
I think because of the abuse - I don't mind that she killed her abuser, but I do mind how she went about it & acted after. It was clearly premeditated. Her mom was clearly abusing her awfully. She manipulated someone else into doing it & then played victim. Then she got help & still doesn't really own up to it and starts manipulating others as well as the media. That's a pattern of behavior, she's not "changed" & her poor manipulated boyfriend a) shouldn't have gone along b) shouldn't have as severe a sentence.
It’s possible the “forgiveness exchange” never actually happened. Cathy was stabbed in the neck. Lisa was mentally unwell and clearly stressed under the guilt - plus there’s a whole religious dimension. It’s possible Lisa merely wished that she had asked for forgiveness, and wished that cathy had been able to say yes. This claim could just be Lisa’s twisted way of trying to emotionally absolve herself while also protecting herself from the law, the same way she thought being schizophrenic excused her. “If I say cathy forgave me, then maybe it will be harder to convict me”.
I'm just scared to imagine what more he would have done if he had not been caught. I guess he will never live jail because his behavior indicates he has a great chance of having traces of psychopathy. And again, police need to do better, maybe they can ask Alexa to BIP every time someone say LAWYER in the interview room if they need.
I wish gypsy rose would have gotten a longer sentence than Nick for coercing him for several years until he eventually did what she asked . He would have never done that either if she hadn’t lied and talked him into it
To be fair, Gypsy Rose was a mentally and physically abused child. Her mother was a monster and crook who conned the entire country. She didn’t deserve to be killed, but you have to read about what it does to a child to be abused by a parent with that syndrome - I am not a fan of hers, but I believe she got the right sentence and her mental illness was (and is ) being treated.
Exactly...the hyping and idolizing NEEDS TO STOP!! it's ridiculous!!! That's when I hate technology and social media!!! When it's used for the damn wrong reasons 🤮🤢
My jaw dropped when you addressed the way you say ‘always’ lol. NO HATE AT ALL, but i though you might have had a tongue tie or something that changed the way you said it so I didn’t wanna say anything haha 😆
No for real. I was like, omg she finally addressed it!! Hahah. I just figured it was her accent like where she’s from cause I think I’ve heard her sister Amy say it the same way. Not sure though but I always noticed too & thought it was cute/funny 😂

As soon as the person asks for an attorney, they should have stopped the questioning. The police did deny his rights which they shouldn't have done, and it could get the whole confession thrown out.
I am LDS. While our faith believes in doing all you can to save your marriage, it is absolutely NOT against our religion to get a divorce. In fact, my husband has held a high calling, and there are times when it's obvious a marriage can't be saved, that the couple are then encouraged to divorce.
Why is “Mormon” not used by LDS members to describe themselves? Also, why do LDS folks refer to themselves as Christians when their reverence of Joseph Smith and other apostles is a major tenet of the religion? I’ve been researching the Mormon faith a bit and have more questions than answers…
Yes but marriage is heavily pushed on single members & divorce is HEAVILY SCRUTINIZED & there’s a LOT of members who have to suppress so much of their real selves just to serve the church. -a humble opinion from an ex Mormon.
These are the cases where they need to bring back "an eye for an eye" I can not even begin to imagine just how terrified Cathy had to have been. She was already traumatized and one of her biggest fears was somebody breaking into their home and harming her to the extent that she made it a point to double check all of the locks every single night. Only for her worst nightmare to come to life in the most horrific way. I just can't wrap my head around any of it. People are truly SICK SICK SICK.
Great coverage. Good details.. one suggestion… more of the interrogation footage would be great. Did the sentence of seven years for child assault get added to the 35 years for second degree murder?
I’m genuinely curious - did you watch the interrogation & notice some key points were missing? I trust Annie to give me the good parts, this will erode my trust if she left out juicy parts😮

Thank you
The hardest working creator in the true crime community . You put out great content in amazing time , always interesting and well researched . Much respect .
Michael should have gotten life without parole, imo. I hope he had to serve his military and federal sentences consecutively.
An eye for an eye in my book!
If you commit a crime, the military will not let you join. And if you commit a crime in the military, the consequences will be very severe.
Im totally addicted to true crime. Ive got the ID channel app on my phone. But nobody can beat our girl Annie. You share so many details i dont hear anywhere else. I cant imagine the work you put into this, girl! Thank you mama. And bless the victims ❤

Monster is too light of a word. Hate to say it but I'm thankful that he never had a child. Can you imagine the damage he could have done on top of everything else?!

I’ve always been so in awe of people who can forgive murderers that hurt their loved ones.
Her mom was so cute, seemed like a very nice lady.
I truly believe it must be a coping mechanism. I know I could never forgive someone who intentionally harms my loved ones.
I think it’s more for them to let go of hatred in their hearts so they can attempt to go on. I honestly couldn’t do it, but I somewhat understand.
@@TexanforHarrisWalzI think it’s this too. To not carry around that hatred and have it crawl in all areas of your life. It ruins their life further. Still, I don’t know how they can forgive!
@@TexanforHarrisWalz I think it’s that as well. I saw it first hand with my aunt. I know I never forgave the people that murdered my cousin, but my aunt did.

WHAT IS WRONG WHIT SOME PEOPLE?? you want to get out of a marriage, ok, divorce, simple....you want to do everything for the person you love, ok, but murder!!!!no no no, not normal at all
Will police ever learn that when they ask for a lawyer to just stop. I've scene so many cases where this hurts the case.
“I’ve SEEN so many cases”😊
Correct. Egos at their finest.
We need more people with psychiatric credentials in law enforcement. For a large amount of reasons.
My thoughts exactly. This cop was way too into himself.

He just used Ailsa to murder his wife! He didn't want her , be used her as a scapegoat! I'm glad he was punished harsher than Alisa
You are exactly right!!!

Gypsy mostly got off easy because of the years of abuse by her mother she'd suffered @@chelseau87
I find it hard to believe Lisa asked Kathy for forgiveness. She most likely threw that in her statement to sound empathetic.
Lisa's father was in the military so he had insurance through the military, his daughter would have been allowed to be on his insurance as a dependent so she had access to the alleged mental health care and medication that she needed. So her not being able to get it is a bs lie.
Not if she was over 18 or out of college, if she did that.
The responding police officer thought she was responding to a DUI?!?!? Like WHAT?!?

As a nurse I have held the hand of the dying many times but it was elderly patients. It was still so sad but they got a chance to live their life. These are so so upsetting bc typically it’s people who are much much younger that never get that chance. 😢
💔💔💔
Not to bash you but it bothers me when people say death isn't as sad when the person is elderly because "they lived their life". To me the amount of years a person has lived doesn't matter, death is soul crushingly devastating.
This guy is WOW! I seriously don’t have words!!
Of all the stupid, non-sensical things he did, WHY TAKE UR WIFE TO UR SIDE PIECE’S JOB?!
Everything about that guy was weird. Like all of it is just odd. The side piece looked a mess. Like he was just all over the place 😵💫
It’s narcissist behavior. They love seeing their pawns play with each other.
We live in such a sick world.
Everyone seems to think they have "The right" to do anything and everything with no consideration of life, or another's right to live a life, or how it effects anyone but themselves and their own gratification.
When a murderer depicts their victim’s last words assume it’s bs. Especially if it benefits the murderer at all. 😂
I'll say one name, Ellen Greenberg.
She supposedly stabbed herself 20 times in her head (back of her head btw), neck and chest.
I still can't believe her fiance hasn't been arrested for her murder and that it's still down as suicide!! 😢
This makes me wonder why Gypsy got a shorter sentence than nick
I think because of the abuse - I don't mind that she killed her abuser, but I do mind how she went about it & acted after. It was clearly premeditated. Her mom was clearly abusing her awfully. She manipulated someone else into doing it & then played victim. Then she got help & still doesn't really own up to it and starts manipulating others as well as the media. That's a pattern of behavior, she's not "changed" & her poor manipulated boyfriend a) shouldn't have gone along b) shouldn't have as severe a sentence.
That made me tear up her saying yes she forgave her. What an awful awful way to go, horrible loss of life and sad sad situation.
Annie you’re trying to rationalize irrationale behavior. You’re correct it’s maddening. Thanks for advocating and sharing these victims stories.
I wish gypsy rose would have gotten a longer sentence than Nick for coercing him for several years until he eventually did what she asked . He would have never done that either if she hadn’t lied and talked him into it
Right?? I couldn't believe all the people fan girling over her when she got out of prison.
You think your mad about it ,now lol go watch “Becca Scoop” on Gypsy rose.
@@sarahashwoodsbooksHell they are still fan girling over her ass lol I'm sick of seeing her on the TV everyday

Is that “once this train starts rolling” line in the manual somewhere because it seems like so many detectives have used it 😂😂😂
These are the cases where they need to bring back "an eye for an eye" I can not even begin to imagine just how terrified Cathy had to have been.
