I have some of those true crime books. Haven't read them yet, but I want to! Also, I one hundred percent agree with all your thoughts on Agnes Grey. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't a favorite.
I have to be picky about it. I definitely can’t handle all types of true crime stories. Somehow historical true crime is easier for me to handle. It’s an interesting book!
Thank you for reading my books! I really liked hearing your thoughts about them. And yes, I didn't really think about it but another reviewer described it as a blue collar romance which I really liked. Iike seeing ordinary people in stories. I really like Agnes Gray, but I agree that it's not one that I think about a lot. I've seen a lot about Loyally Luke so I'll have to try that one!
Angela Hunt has a series about a funeral director. They are funny. It was interesting, it taught me some fun things. Doesn’t She Look Natural is the first one. It is called the Fairlawn Series.
hello~ I found out about your channel from a trabbit trail that led me to @talesandtreatswithtay who shoulted out your channel. I read Agnes Grey in 2022 and it was interesting and the psychology of the kids and family she first nanny'd for intrigued me and I kept thinking, how is she going to safely escape their crazy? I feel as though her writing is underrated though and Charlotte gets too much attention.
I agree, her writing was great! The only other Brontë sister that I’ve read is Emily’s “Wuthering Heights”. After reading that, I wanted to give the other two sisters a try! I haven’t gotten to Charlotte yet.
@@bethanybringsbooks Jane Eyre is Charlotte's most popular and for a reason. There's one particular section that isn't Christian, which kind of surprises me that she included it being a daughter of a minister. Today though, I don't think people bat an eye at it.
Eek I’m reading Agnes now 💜💜🙌🏾🔥I think I may share the same sentiments as you
I love how you start your videos, "Hey Y'all." Makes me smile.
Aww thank you 😊
Same!
I understand what you mean about rating books based on memorability. Woohoo - Luke!!
I’m excited for it!
Yay! A new video!
🥰🥰
Great video! 👏🏻 Maybe one of these days I’ll get to my copy of Agnes Grey. 🤷♀️
It was really a pretty easy read! Not too long.
Yes more ordinary careers in books!
“ loyally, Luke”, yay, looking forward this one!❤❤
I’m halfway through and it’s great!

While The City Sleeps sounds really good!
I thought so!
Oh I need to read Positively Penelope! Still waiting for my sister to lend it to me.
I really enjoyed While The City Sleeps as well. I loved Jonathon!
I like him too. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series!
The Scarlet Pen sounds fascinating. I’m a scaredy-cat about true crime. 😅

Blue Collar romance is a good description!

Oh wow! I didn’t know that. I’ll have to look those up!
Welcome to booktube 📚☕
❤️❤️
I've been intrigued by the crimes in America series, some of those sound very interesting. Appeciate your thoughts on that one!
This is the second I’ve read so far. Enjoyed this one more than the first.
The Scarlet Pen sounds gripping. But difficult true-crime stuff is hard for me to read. Oddly, in a fiction story I'm okay. Your son is SO cute!
It was fascinating!
Thank you! He is precious 🥰
I probably should read Agnes Grey. And I really want to try the Skymar series!
All these are great!
I’m surprised you haven’t already read Agnes Grey lol!
@@bethanybringsbooks I have read Wildfell Hall, just not Agnes!
