    I keep going back to my favorite BIB, which is Early Times BIB. I have 4 bottles of the black cap Brown Forman version and 4 bottles of the blue cap version on my shelf currently, with one open in my liquor cabinet.

    Bottled in Bond is a very important part of history. Because of it the average American consumer can they get a quality Bourbon at an affordable price. Heaven Hill leads by example offering a variety of great Bottled in Bonds.

    I love that Chattanooga has to releases of BiB each year. To me the best is Fall 2017, bottled Fall 2021. I have hunted for that bottle as much as I could. Tastes like delicious figs, honey, and tobacco.

    Recently started getting into Tequila. I truly wish there was some sort of Bottled in Bond act for Tequila. You never know what bottles/brands use additives.

      I'm not a tequila aficionado but I had a taste of cava de oro extra anejo recently and it was excellent. Have you tried it?

      @@joryknowlton7574 I have not! I’ll look for it. If you’re interested in some additive free tequilas Don Fulano is fantastic. it’s 100 proof and absolutely delicious. It’s what got me into tequila!

    Same distilling season same distillery means blending is difficult with bib. Many distilleries are owned by a larger distilling entities.

    Evan Williams BiB is still a crushable bourbon. Inexpensive and still wonderful whiskey at that price and so findable.

    Is it right if I understood as below:
    So bottled in bond whiskey has to follow the rule that
    Rule 1: Distilled from the same class of materials means if batch A is made from 51% corn, and 49% barley batch B will be the same, right?
    Rule 2 means in the spring season they have 2 batches so these two have to be distilled by the same distiller at the same distillery.
    Rule 4: So the spirit was taken out from the barrel straight into the bottle. It wouldn't add water or chill-filtering.
    My English still has to practice so thank you everyone help me deal with these questions

      @motohead077 Місяць тому

      No, that is not it. You misunderstood most of that. Water has to be added to proof it down to 100. It can not be any higher or lower.
