I'm so happy for Kevin Kelly. He's been so consistent and professional over the years in different companies over the years. He was great in ROH and NJPW. Knowing he is calling a worldwide wrestling show on TV is awesome. He deserves the best!

Hate him or love him this energy hasn’t been found on any AEW programming since he left I think he’s gonna be a legit tweener town to town whatever side the crowd is on he’ll act accordingly and is clearly very capable of doing so I’m here for it, I loved the vibe of the show overall as well can’t wait to see what’s next

He didn’t really leave..he was sidelined for 9 months after tricep surgery, as that’s generally how long it takes to recover. Not really his fault he wasn’t around.

He's like a returning Goldberg from 2016. Everyone was so hyped he came back, including myself. Both of them. But when you grew up watching a Prime Goldberg or a Prime CM Punk, they are not the same when they are looking old. Maybe Punk will prove me wrong, but he should be at a point in his life where he's bringing money in to the company, but also pushing young talent up the ladder like for example a Wardlow.

@@villiannewyork entirely. Foley did the spots to get over the danger of a match and threat of an opponent. RVD did unique moves but would pay for it. He would also sell if he missed.

Collision was great
great commentary team, they add a lot to the matches, made the guys look great... It was a very good show, production looks better than Dynamite.
Yeah they add some professionalism to the show that’s missing elsewhere.
It really is amazing how a solid commentary team changes everything, it makes it seem like actual sport.
JR is sounding rougher and rougher.
He wasn't 100% after a fall.

The thing is the time waits for no one and this should've happened like 10 years ago...his body was never in good shape and that catches up to him...and he looks not that great in the ring anyway nowadays...i'll give him 3 months max till he his body breaks again and what then? This felt like the A Show they need to do a brand split keep them totally separate and keep the storylines going no more random matches
Not necessarily, usually the flagship show would have some type of storyline going for the main event

Well that’s kinda somewhat already the plan. Punk,ftr miro and others will be inclusive while some will be featured on both brands

They actually sound like a professional commentary team. You don't hear snickering and inane comments from these guys. I think Taz does his best, but Excalibur and Schiavone are the drizzling shits.

I know it's only first episode, but this felt like AEW taking themselves seriously compared to Dynamite.
Yes it actually felt like a Major wrestling company, it was shot differently and the production was close to perfect. Big fan of it can’t wait til next Saturday

The closest thing I could compare it to was Ruthless aggression era Smackdown. This felt like a pure wrestling show where Dynamite feels like a show that will progress storylines

I don't understand the reasoning for canceling Punk because someone didn't like what he says, or says. He is a great performer. Egos need to be set aside for business.
