I love how the CHP had unlimited jurisdiction in this show. City streets? Sure. Stopping bank robberies? Why not? Busting up karate gangs and importers of illegal goods? You’re darn tootin.
It is true that the CHP primarily patrols the highways. But they also assist local law enforcement in patrolling city streets as well. As for the plot lines, most of them start off as violations on the highway that escalate into a bigger conflict. Plus relax, it's a TV show!
@@BreakTime10101 The freeways they used in season 1&2, were just built and not open yet. The traffic you see on these freeways are stuntmen and actors. The freeways were then opened and other areas of the city were used for filming.
The actor playing the criminal will play Deputy Perkins in Sheriff Lobo :) "Dude, just flash your deputy badge and tell them you're undercover, all is good"
Wachting this in 2020, raise ur hands plz. 😂
Cars of 70s were fantastic.
🎉Yep, only 17 too.🎉 (Must have my dad’s DNA or somethin’ 😅)
The photography on these old shows was incredible, not to mention the practical effects.

I agree. As much as I loved the show, once they left the freeways after season 1 and parts of season 2, the story lines got unrealistic.
Not sure about Commifornia but here in Ohio, the State Patrol can do whatever they want, anytime, anywhere.
Don't forget aliens, robots, and sea monsters.

I believe the suspect played deputy Perkins on sheriff lobo and BJ and the Bear
Only because Hawkeye gave him the right color of blood. 😺
It would have been a more popular show if Eric Estrada had worn tighter pants.
