I have recently bought a 1986 New Bright Gold Rush Express at a yard sell. The box it came in had no pictures or directions. I wasn't able to find directions online for my train. I enjoyed learning from your video. However the things I was looking for was how to make the smoke stack smoke. What kind of oil to use for the smoke stack and what kind of lubricant to use for the engine. Can you share this or tell me where I can go to find the information I'm looking for? I tried to add a picture of my train for you but I guess Ytube doesn't allow pictures. Sorry. Thank you for any information you can share.
I'm srry to say but the toy doesn't have a smoke unit so it couldn't produce smoke, but the oil I used is LaBelle 108 which is the same lube used for model trains, but you can use any generic hobby lube online And about information yeah... I just did the research myself since there isn't a huge dedicated fanbase nor group of collectors that research ever little thing about New bright trains like me,but if you got any questions I can try answering them
I like new brights trains 1 thing is they are decently detailed and they are cheaper to buy then lgb also New bright did make 4-4-0s With the regular wheel configuration and it runs fine I don't know why they didn't on this model
Forgot to mention there is also a whistle on that steam locomotive there's a red peg on top of the dome in front of the cab if you turn it a whistle will be low when the train is on
Heck yea I want to collect more new bright trains These things are awesome and unique Also sure I would like to know why your a big fan of new bright trains
There a small leaver on the left side near the front push it forward to make it go forward pull it back to go in reverse to turn it off push it in the middle and it'll stop it
Rubber doesn't work well on metal track you need plastic track to run it you need a train with metal contact plastic won't work plus your damageing your wheels i speaking from experience
