We don't own a trailer because we don't have a place to park it. We' do truck camping. So, we live a trailer life vicariously through your videos. My wife and I really like the variety you put out in your videos. Always interesting, fun and/or informative. Thank you! Keep'em coming!
No formula for your videos??? Of course you do!! It's sharing what you know good. You share new products, needed products, adventures, misadventures, recipes, how to's (love the color of the curtains, Kristy), how not to's. In short, your no formula way of sharing "what you know good" keeps all of us interested. You guys are never boring and always entertaining. Please don't mess with the formula! Have a wonderful safe trip! Thank you for sharing it with us.
Hilarious! My dad used the same expression when it was raining and the sun was also out. 🤣 this is the first time I’ve heard someone else use that expression. 👍🏾
Glad you got your air streams axles fixed. And glad you are back on the road. Looks like a nice campground. Hope you safe travels and see you soon! Stay safe.
I did learn two things on your video. I have to dig my go pro out cause while you are filming I noticed your wife doing the chores. So I will be filming at least long enough for the wifey to do all the chores! Smart man. It is a great idea to put your eyes on the whole rig, bottom and all. Take care, enjoy and stay safe!
Sean and Kristy-FWIW, we have to vehemently agree with Michael Waldon’s comments regarding the welding job to your trailer. As fellow Airstreamers, we’ve followed you guys almost from the beginning. Your “how-to” videos and tips have saved us tons of time and effort for many, many years, especially when we were “noobs.” We have now done two compete “from the ground up” Airstream restorations, including axle replacements on both units, (first with our ’72, 27’ Overlander and, more recently, with our “new” ’92, 29’ Excella) and have some non-trivial experience with welding. About 4 min into your video you begin to show the welding repair of the hairline cracks to your frame. In our humble opinion, the welding job appears to be crude at best-it’s what welders around here call “snot welding”. More concerning is the plate shown beginning at about 4:11 into the video. The welds there are really quite minimal and do not appear to even be along the edges of the plate in some areas. Furthermore, we’d like to express concern over welding so close to, and along the edge, of the axle tube. The axle tube contains the rubber torsion element, aka the “spring” for the suspension, which should not be overheated. Hopefully, no damage was done, but, if so, this should become apparent when the axles are changed in a few weeks, hopefully not sooner. We wish you all the best in your travels. Be safe. We’ll be on the road soon ourselves. LOLOHO!
Your formula is just fine. I like how you don't always sugar coat things. Like leaving on a Friday in rush hour or having rainy travel day's. And like with the cracks, RV's break. We just got back from a month long trip and our RV is currently in the shop. Stay safe and enjoy.
Hi Guys. Longtime lurker and my first comment. I too, had a cracked frame on my Coachman Freedom Express. They tend to do that. So folks, check your frames! Note the Lippert, the frame maker fixed it with no charge to me. Found a trailer guy as you did and now the frame is Uber beefy. As for your format, or lack there of, no worries, fella. As a former TV producer, formats are great for efficiency, but can be a creative crutch. Go with what feels good. You built your Nation! We will follow. ✌🏼
Thanks for letting us join your unplanned travels, via unplanned videos! Always enjoy your humor and outlook on life. Hope you enjoy the trip and may you be safe always. Oh, and WOW, that grill was really smoking!
Hi guys, great to see you on the road again, if you come to Missouri I think you would really like Montauk state park in Salem Missouri. You guys are the first channel we started watching before we started are adventures 4 years ago. Hope to see you on the road one day, until then Happy Trails and Safe Travels. Jeff, Sandy and Bandit.
Something about that second picture of the weld repair...it looked like the welder missed the edge. I’m sure I’m not looking at it right. Good welds will outlast everything else. Having said that, keep your eye on everything else. Makes one wonder what might have caused the cracks. Nice simple campground. Good sleep with the creek running by. Your evening picture looked so cozy with the lights on in the camper. My wife and I love Missouri, especially the Ozarks! You both look so much like your parents - you’re definitely not adopted! 😉 Congratulations to you both on fifteen years....God bless you as you continue in your travels. Thanks for sharing! Ram 🤙🏼
Come to Ouray!! That is a cool anecdote about the owner of the trailer repair company! It just goes to show, "don't judge the book by its cover". Who knew there'd be another avid outdoor enthusiast out there right down the road? Awesome campground stop too!
Subscribed some time ago. Honestly feel that your RV channel is the best one out there covering both the lifestyle and the practical repair/upgrade topics. Your channel is the only one that does this. Can also tell from the videos that both of you enjoy making these videos, and it shows. No script, no formula, no manufactured drama. Just the plain and honest truth. Thank you.
Check out Keep your Daydream if you get a chance. Marc and Tricia also do an amazing job of lifestyle/travel and practical topics as well. They are my personal favorite. I like Long Long Honeymoon as well. I don't like the couples that just have the camera on them the whole time just talking, that's boring to me. Happy travels!
Looks like you are using Rain-X or a generic equivalent. One of the best camping trips was when I told the wife that when we pulled out of the driveway, we would see which way the truck turned. The first night wasn't great - we found a place we probably will never stay again unless there's an emergency, but then we found a gem of a place and stayed there for several days. We never would have found it if we had planned everything out.
Glad you guys are back out there! Thanks for the look at the axle plate issue! Something to inspect along the way. PS…. We had an interesting issue ysterday I discovered on hooking up to leave Acadia. The hitch ball was a little bit loose! Tip is to have a socket set with you that fits the large nut under that hitch ball! Whew. Lucky catch for us! Safe travels!
Love your videos! Learned lots of great travel/road trip info. We’re tent campers, soon to be RVers. But for now, the tent is great. It’s a North Face Kaiju 6 so it’s massive!!! Almost like a tent version of an RV!
I agree with another guest, don't sweat the format, we love to see your videos! I learn so much from you both, and not just about RVing. This less-structured one was nice because I felt like I was on vacation with you in the beautiful sites and sights. Stay safe out there! I am living vicariously through you right now since I'm not fully retired yet.
Thank you LoLoHo! My family really got into RV'ing because of you and the KYD crew. In 2019 we purchased a 2020 Airstream 25ft flying cloud, and a 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 diesel Denali. We travelled the USA from New Jersey to California in the summer of 220 visiting many National Parks, down the California Coastal hwy and back. We have travelled this summer as well, with a total on our new trailer of over 15,000 miles. We love it! if your ever up in NJ, please stay at our place. We live on a lake and have hook ups on our property! All the best! And please continue to make the quality, informative content that you do so well!!!
We were in Montgomery Bell SP last month. It was a nice park, but we were not lucky enough to get creek side. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Glad that you discovered the cracks before they got worse! Enjoy your trip!
This channel is the gold standard for RV lifestyle videos. I’ve learned a lot about preventative maintenance here, but also that “stuff happens” in-spite of best efforts. Keeping a positive attitude when breakdowns occur is important. I’ve had recently-inspected parts fail on the road, forcing Plan B put into action. The failure of a leaf spring, bearing, trailer brake or axle can be very discouraging, especially when it breaks down in an area not supported by your roadside-support towing company. $$$ Now I know that I have to check for cracks!
Why have a format when you are as interesting as you two are. Great channel, great info, great travels. It just works. Enjoy your latest adventure. Looking forward to the updates each week. We are heading out for the month of September and cannot wait. Safe travels
CONGRATULATIONS ❗ HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ! GORGEOUS CAMPSITE & CAMPGROUNDS ! LOOKS VERY WELL KEPT 👌 LUCKILY THEY CAUGHT THE CRACKS ON THE AXLE BRACKETS & SOMEONE / PLACE NEAR BY THAT COULD TAKE YOU ALMOST RIGHT AWAY & KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS ON YOUR 🙏 ADVENTURES ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨
Been watching your videos for awhile and since wife and I live in the same area as you, it is cool to recognize the roads and city skyline you show in your videos. One of these days wife and I will try RVing. Really enjoy watching your channel.
I love your formula now. Y'all are so down to earth and not trying to be fake. Just giving your honest opinions and reviews of what works for you. Love y'all! Keep it up!
Your videos were the first ones I had ever watched on UA-cam , and is still my favorite. My wife and I live in Michigan. Your always welcome to spend a few days in our yard. We live in the north east part of Michigan. It’s really quiet here, and Only 15 miles from Lake Huron. We traveled to South Dakota in June of this year,, and hade a great time. We haul a 20 ‘ travel trailer. We took the badger across Lake Michigan to get to Wisconsin. So, if your in my area , please let me know in your videos , and we will keep a eye open for you. Safe travels.
Glad I can finally sit and watch yall again ! When you get out by Sedona Az. I am manager caretaker of a real cool and small RV park. 14 sites. Right on the Verde River. With a little bit of notice. I can have a site for you. No charge ! Keep the shiny side up! And safe travels !
YAY! Loloho is back on the road! Beautiful campsite, and fantastic gratuitous footage of Baby Grrrll! Love this video! I've got two more checklist items to complete on my tow vehicle and Ill be on the road, too! Hope to meet you some day on the road!
You guys should check out Bayview Campground (Federal) in the Upper Peninsula in northern MI. It's rustic but you'll want to create a reservation if you can. Very beautiful campsite.
Great video. Rv’s require so much maintenance. Good on you that you caught the cracks on your axle. I’ll be checking mine after watching your video. Thank you for sharing.
Wow, I feel special I styed at Montgomery Bell State park a few years ago and it was beautiful. I was there only 2 nights but it is a future destination for me . Great work I know things happen my old south Louisiana grandmother would say Chere you got it made don't complain roll with it.
Good to see you back on the road! You don't have a formula? You could do it - here we are driving, here we are staying, here is the dog! I am happy to see the picture of the dog in the grass! I was wondering if that dog ever got her feet on the ground! LOL!

Glad your on the happy camper trail🌺
Love your channel! The two of you give me the biggest smile
Congratulations on 15 years! Sometimes not having a plan is the best plan!
You took the words right out of my mouth !! If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT !!
We usually have a destination in mind, but after that we play it by ear and fill in stops as we go. We think it's more fun that way.
You guys are Amazingly fortunate to have your parents. God Bless them and you!
Hilarious! My dad used the same expression when it was raining and the sun was also out. 🤣 this is the first time I’ve heard someone else use that expression. 👍🏾
That's so nice of you,,,,,,, hello 👋 how are you doing I hope you are having a wonderful day, I really appreciate your comment 🤭
Congratulations on your 15th anniversary! Safe travels.
It was a pleasure meeting you yesterday sir, keep up the good work, y'all are the best.
Congratulations on your 15th year!

Congrats on 15 years! I've followed you for all of those I think! Be safe out there!!!
Glad you're traveling again!
You are/were in my backyard. I live 5 miles from Montgomery Bell. We hike and kayak there, but never camped that close to home. I hope you enjoyed it.
One of our gems of a state park here in Tennessee! We have many beautiful state parks!

Safe travels. Looking forward to seeing where you drop anchor next.
How did I not remember you’re from B’ham??? I love it there. Hubby and I lived there for about 7 years. Great place.

Safe travels and good health.
I grew up with those same southern sayings….always good to hear them….safe travels for y’all.
"Around Robinhoods barn" as my Grandmom would say lol been a minute
Glad you guys are back on the road. Safe travels to both of you.
Always entertaining. Beautiful campground. Your ottomans look cozy. Loved seeing your parents.
Like the lighting underneath the Silverstream at night.
