This seriously deserves more views considering the importance and relevance of the subject matter especially within the current wider cultural zeitgeist
Nobody in relevant academic disciplines (PACS, politology, sociology, socpsy) takes Jung seriously. That's not because they aren't paying attention to him, but because he doesn't stand up to scientific scrutiny (or more accurately maybe: it's very hard to phrase him in ways that can even be subjected to scientific scrutiny). The only people that believe in this are SOME more out-there psychologists, and philosophers.
Appreciate you sharing your journey. I've been living in DC for the last 25 years or so and see daily many of the things you saw. I've recently gotten into Jung, Nietzche and others through Jordan Peterson whereas in the past they were like archaic figures who sporadically appeared in academic discussions and music I happened to be listening to.
I hope she got a job at a Christian university. Although, I don't think "becoming a conservative" was the right move. "If you label me, you negate me." - Kierkegaard. If you label yourself, you negate yourself. If you say, "I'm a conservative," then you're making a political ideology a foundational part of your identity. Then you cannot think outside that ideology without triggering an identity crisis. Reject ideologies. Don't have opinions on issues where you haven't studied a variety of opposing viewpoints on the issue in question, evaluated the logical validity of many of the best arguments made for each viewpoint, and analyzed the relevant evidence.
I've returned to this video multiple times over the last one or two years. I should really start taking notes.

@@royzlatanestevez9843 That's exactly why neoliberalism is destroying the world. Reality can't be captured in an office memo or a scientific paper.
Thank you. Your perspective is highly evolved. This level of open dialouge is lacking so much right now.
