Vandal Hearts | FMV #5 | The Successor

Fatally wounded in his struggle with Dolf Crowley, Magnus succumbs to his wounds and is laid to rest by Ash, Grog, and Sara. The trio find themselves greeted by a sorcerer named Zohar, who tells them that they have arrived in the Plains of Sorrow, a place not bound by a single point in time and space. With the help of the mysterious sorcerer, Ash and his companions manage to travel back to their original time, in hopes of stopping Hel Spites uprising.
Dolf Crowley reveals that the magical stone found by Magnus is a remnant of when the universe was first created, and that it still holds a spark of “The Flames of Judgment”, a power capable of immense destruction. According to legend, the power was sealed in the stone by Toroah the Messiah using “The Royal Ring”. The Holy Ashah Dynasty was then to form a new country to protect the Royal Ring, but was forgotten with the passage of time. It is this Royal Ring that both Dolf Crowley and Hel Spites seek to unleash The Flames of Judgment, and finally lay claim to the World.

Vandal Hearts is a turn-based tactical role-playing video game developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo for the PlayStation and later ported to the Sega Saturn by Konami Computer Entertainment Nagoya. The PlayStation version was distributed in Japan, North America, and Europe. The Saturn version was never released outside Japan. There was also a Microsoft Windows version developed and released exclusively in South Korea.
