Back after season five, I am soo frickin' happy that all the queer subtext actually became canon. They wrote their relationship so well and I was rooting the entire time. What a great series. Sidenote: I made my friend watch the show, so now we can tear up at this brilliant edit together lol
Many thanks for filling the void of Yaz/Sammy appreciation videos. I'm seriously surprised by said void, given both how cute the ship is & how much it's progressed in S3. I especially like Ep7. It shows that Yaz was willing to go WAY outside her usual comfort zone specifically b/c she thought it would help Sammy feel better. That + Ep6 is WAY beyond what she's willingly gone through for the other characters. To quote a line from "Hey, Hey It's Knishmas", "That was love power, I tell ya -- Love power!"
it surprises me so much too bc it’s not like it’s some obscure little ship, it is very developed and has so many good scenes. Maybe ppl are turned away by the 3d ? (it’s what kept me from watching at first). But aaah yes, it was so sweet seeing how yaz changed her attitude 😭🤧 (and the fact that sammy got freaked out like this is not my grumpy gf lmao) these bitches gay, good for them, good for them.
@@nialies As a life-long dino/JP fan who's been very disappointed by ALL the sequel movies, I did not expect to like Camp Cretaceous very much, let alone feel all the feels that I felt. Major props to the writers, animators, & voice actors for that: In reference to voice actors, the way Yaz says "Hey Sammy" at 1:26 makes me tear up every time; In reference to animators, I like how they re-animated the flashbacks to show more of Yaz's POV & how much she really loves Sammy (E.g. At 0:47; Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the look school girls give when their crush acknowledges them?). As for ppl being "turned away by the 3d", I think it has more to do w/ppl being heteronormative & dismissing the ship as "gals being pals".
@@JerkyD yess i love how they animate the expressions too, and the “hey sammy” “hey yaz” kills me 🤧 idk thought it might be sth else bc there are other super popular sapphic couples in cartoons (like catradora from shera, lumity from the owl house etc). but ahhh idk, hope more ppl will vid them after s3 🤞
@@nialies Me too! BTW, I'm glad you mentioned Shera b/c Yaz saving Sammy in S3Ep6 reminds me of Adora saving Catra in S5Ep5 (especially the "Hey Sammy", which reminds me of the "Hey Adora"). Also, have you seen the Harley Quinn show? I mentioned this in another comment section, but Harley/Ivy's dynamic reminds me of Yaz/Sammy's: 1 girl is more bubbly/extroverted, the other is more bitter/introverted; I especially like how Yaz saying "'Cause that would've SUCKED" reminds me of Ivy saying "Those guys are such DICKS" ( ua-cam.com/video/N2iByV7wCOs/v-deo.html ).

when i watched the first two seasons a couple months ago i was so confused bc like, why hadn't i ever heard of them ? ? ??? loved them (and yaz!!) from the first ep.
Cuando empecé a shippearlas desde los primeros episodios, creí que era cosa mía, pero, conforme los episodios avanzaban, te dabas cuenta de que Yas se preocupaba mucho más por Sammy que por cualquier otro. Cuando la ve en las cámaras, a salvo del Rex, ella solo suspira aliviada cuando Sammy está fuera de peligro. Además, Yasmina decía ser una solitaria, pero siempre es la que inicia el contacto físico con Sammy. El episodio "Long Run" te deja sin ninguna otra duda. Yas no le dijo a los demás que dejarían de ser amigos, solo se lo dijo a Sammy porque es la relación que más le afectaría perder.

AHH i love yasmina and Sammy it reminds me a lot abt me and my gf it’s related but not with the dinosaurs and Sammy spying stuff but it’s close to how me and my gf met and this love story reminds me a lot abt how we met and fell in love so I can guarantee you they will be ending up together 🏳️🌈❤️
