You hit the nail on the head when you said " This is what metal is supposed to sound like ". Couldn't agree more with that statement. Btw I also enjoy rap sometimes :P
Glad you dig these guys. They’ve long been a favorite. I’ve seen them four or five times. You need to check out some between the buried and me, protests the hero, or son of Aurelius. A little heavier and more technical playing and writing. Love your stuff!!
Love this band. You want consistency? Check out As I Lay Dying. They’ve been playing hard for 17 years. Their songs Nothing Left and The Sound of Truth came out 13 years ago but sounds like it came out this year. It’s that fucking good.
What about some Killswitch engage?? Before I lost my shit with trivium I was all about Killswitch. Check out the end of heartache. I think you’ll really dig it my man.
Trust me fam, Travis' compositions on this album are better than Alex's. Alex is an amazing player, but the rest of this album is supreme. The drums were toned down for this song for that Black Album Metallica lead single vibe. The rest is like Megadeth's Rust in Peace on cocaine. Absolutely insane. Gotta listen to songs such as Kirisute Gomen, Like Callisto to a Star in Heaven, Of Prometheus and the Crucifix, and Into the Mouth of Hell We March. The soundscapes are incredible and the band was top form. Personally, I think this era's vocals had way more passion than most modern Trivium. Matt was hurting his throat, but everything sounded outstanding and the tone was fantastic. Sure, he sings better technically now, but his voice is definitely thinner. This shit is hype.
This guy knows his stuff dude for real. Travis wasn't as flashy as Alex...but some of his playing on this record is phenomenal and for the vast majority is perfect for the accompanying riffs.
@@RyanCogar Alex is definitely a more consistent, more technical player, but man....he could create perfect parts for the song. He could really compose and do things that improved a song. Alex has gotten better on the most recent album at that. Travis still sets an extremely high standard when it comes to making the parts mean something more.
@@chrismeadows4216 I feel you man, The only drum part on this record that kind of underwhelmed me in truth is the outro of Torn Between where they go half time with that main intro riff, but the drum part just doesn't lock in fully or something for me. I agree with Alex on the new record too though, been spinning that a lot. Good stuff indeed. I liked TSATS, but for me WTDMS is a great improvement.
@@RyanCogar It's rough because Torn Between is usually my favorite song, but Travis went for a more traditional thrash vibe and I don't think it worked in that case. LL should go for songs from Ascendancy and The Crusade where it definitely works.
Hey boss! Really enjoying the channel. I love Trivium as well! Last year I was at a trivium show and busted my forehead open while in the mosh pit during the song “In Waves”. It’s a banger! Check it out 🤘🏽🔥
good choice bro, if you ever heard master of puppets from metallica you should react to the master of puppets from trivium, im not talking about shogun lol, trivium cover master of puppets
Love Trivium!!
Thank you!!
Might aswell do the rest of the masterpiece Shogun album at this point my boy
Moïse Dos Santos i agree man
@Dutch van der Linde It is not the safest vocal, but is not bad, especially he doing some Death vocals on many tracks
@Dutch van der Lindei know that he only became a good screamer on In waves, but... What can we do haha, i enjoy his screams on every album
Brings up Matt’s long hair, and doesn’t even notice Paolo having hair
I didnt notice that 😂my bad. I am learning the bands music, but still really dont know a ton about the band members.
LucciLAND no worries, he is a bit harder to spot in the video. Especially if you didn’t know he was still the bassist in this album

This song is amazing, this album is amazing ❤️
Trivium is so good !!! React to Killswitch Engage !!!! They are my favorite Metalcore Band.
Like for The Deceived in Chapman studios for the next Trvium tuesday 🤘🏽
or basically the whole thing from the chapman studios... its so sick. Especially on this song where he has this otherwordly EAT US ALIVE scream
Suffocation sight is bad ass too
One of my favourite Trivium songs. Fucking amazing. This entire album hits so hard.
It's always nice to see a rap fan get into metal so cool, a good song I reccomend listening to is basically any song by deviloof
Wuddup Lucci another dope reaction man, consistent well observed
You should check out And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope (live) by Ne Obliviscaris :)
