@@octoberskye28 yup, like i said, use weed once in a while and i remember in one of my trips i was thinking about the soundtrack from the movie “anne frank, the whole story” and i began telling my bf about how Anne Frank is one of those people i feel a connection to even though i have never met her and i can never help ponder the question “what if they had never been discovered?” “What if they had only been discovered a little later? Auschwitz was liberated in January” and many more “what if’s” regarding Anne and her family.

The reason why that girl doesn't remember anything of who Anne Frank was is probably related to the reason of her trip to Amsterdam.
They didn’t hide in the attic of her house. It was an attic if a spice factory

She did not live through the Holocaust. She did not survive. Her entire family, sans her father were murdered by the Nazis.
She hid until she was caught and she died in a concentration camp with her family. Only the father survived because he wasnt caught

In India, there is a lesson of Anne Frank in the 10th class English book.
Saw it in university just a few years back, had to drop out because covid shut that town down and I couldn't find work. Many younger adults don't learn shit and use their phone and the internet to cheat in all of their classes. My chemistry 201 teacher had to curve the entire class so 50% of the class wouldn't fail, cause it would make HIM look bad and probably get fired.
Charter schools these days are switching back to books and removing computers and phones from the classroom, people are much better at learning this way.

C'mon not everyone remembers what they read in high school completely and they look like they are in their late 20 s ofcourse they might be good at other subjects and stop this the older the wiser bullshit , not all young generations are clueless and not all old generation know it all , cause knowledge is boundless . Point is that just because you were taught, it doesn't mean everyone else was. Just because you know something, doesn't mean everyone else should know. Don't look down on people because they lack knowledge on one particular subject because there are many things that you yourselves do not know.

I mean there were millions of victims of the Holocaust. Schools can't spend the time to teach us the story of every single one of their lives.
They taught us what we needed to know. Everyone is aware of the disaster that occurred. It's alright. As much as her story deserves to be heard, we don't need to teach kids in school this one particular story.
The reason the diary of Anne Frank is important is because it is a first-hand account. Take a weekend and read it.

I'm 42 and a black man born and raised lol, smh. I have a fixation of The World wars history. That lead me to learn everything abt the Jewish, Germany, and all the others involved. Ann Frank story broke my heart. It was hard to learn abt her without having these small anxiety issues.

I’m an Aussie and we knew about the holocaust in high school in the 90’s. Went to the museum. We have a big conservative jewish community in Melbourne so it made sense that we knew the history of their mistreatment.
