My man even though I'm finding your videos in 2024 and some steps are different with VirtualBox 7.0 your videos are still so helpful..... THANK YOU!!!!!
Your patience and step by step approach of teaching is unmatched. These are the qualities of a good teacher. I am just a beginner and you made learning easy for me. thank you!
Absolutely, positively, perfect! Everything worked out step-by-step. I've done this many times over my career in I.T. in the real world environment but never the virtual environments. We had to usually do things old school by making sure we had a DHCP Server up and running then the Primary Doman Controller then all of the PC's then the printers, then the VoIP phones, etc. I'm glad I ran into this simplistic tutorial because now I can do 100% virtualization of network configurations. Running my powershell scripts and scheduled tasks against any of my virtual desktops! Nice!!
that is basically what i just did in my home office and upgraded a hp ProLiant dl380 gen 7 and integrated it with my local Hyper-V data server and other server types local and put share point server in the rack as to use for a domain server in the other vm in rack to self host and connect to my cloud environments for full hybrid network setup for my studio
Wonderful -- I was stuck on this for so long looking at random articles online and this got me COMPLETELY on track. Much appreciated Kindson. Instructions were extremely clear and was able to reproduce on Hyper V with no issues.
Very Professional, you must be a Professor. The step by step instructions make my 5th grader an IT Pro! One tiny comment on the audio production, be sure to move your Blue mic away from the fan source of your laptop OR cool the room down enough that the laptop fan won't work so hard and the mic picks up the fan sound. Video quality perfect.
Thank you for this video! I've been searching for so long, looking at many other videos and websites and none have worked until i found yours. Keep up the great work!
Just wanted to say thank you. I had been wracking my brain for hours trying to connect a client to the domain controller until i found your well explained video. Turns out I turned off the firewall on the Domain Controller but NOT the client.
Haven't done this in forever. What a pleasure to watch. I diverted a bit and gave my DC its own IP and put the endpoint in the same subnet to join the domain. Well done!
This was so incredibly helpful! Thank you for the thorough explanation and walk through of everything... including the network configuration! Much appreciated😃
Very nicely done! I was stuck on this for sooooo long, it took so much time to find your videos, so much suffering... and now everything is fine again! Works like a charm. Thank you :)
THIS WAS GREAT!! Thank you so much! Just subscribed. All I needed this for was to create the domain controller correctly. This video is helpful for beginners and intermediates! I fast forwarded 16 mins to get the bit I needed since I already had the server setup on VB. Again, thank you sir!!
Thank you very much I spent so long trying to set this up but many people I watched stopped after making the server and never showed how to connect another pc/vm to the server now that I have it connected to another vm I can finally start playing around with it and getting some experience with active directory and hopefully put that on my resume and get a job in a help desk place.
Thanks bro! Its really helpful! I'm hosting a VM and i needed to make a domain and I couldn't figure how. Thanks to your video I now have a domain to control all my VMs I'm hosting. Your video really helped!
Thank you for this video. I almost got it. I just have experienced some errors at almost the end in workgroup settings. hopefully, I can figure out this.
Thanks for the video. Need to know the hardware requirement for active directory lab using VMware I have i3 based desktop pc. How much RAM is required ?.
Hi Kidson.. Thanks this tutorial was helpful. Follow the step-through but got stuck along the way with using the open DNS. But I sought it out and it works. Many thanks!
Windows 2019 version isn't showing up when selecting at 7:40? FIXED: if you have an AMD CPU that supports x64, you need to enable SVM in your bios to get windows 2019 to show (I have a MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk Motherboard, your steps might vary) bios > advanced mode (f7) > OC > Advanced CPU configuration > SVM mode (enable it)
Great video!! I have some query If I setup dhcp on windows server and wants all other clients in vmware to connect with internet and also take ip from server configured dhcp. (All machines including server is running on vmware) What settings of network adapter should I use ?
I was having a problem joining to the domain. I ended up finding your video. I was sad to discover your website is gone seemingly. Anyway, apparently the only problem was I did not disable ipV6 in the computer network adapter. Can you explain why ipV6 has to be disabled? Thank you for the video.
