- The world famous Harris Tweed can only be produced in one place on the planet, The Isle of Harris...and Lewis. From traditional farms, known as crofts, to the traditional mills, and traditional weavers, wool becomes yarn, and thread becomes fabric, in a land beaming with history.
👍Terrific info. I’m so happy that the fabric is still produced in people’s homes on the island. I’m glad they have the protection of 1993 Harris Tweed Act. Even as a child I had enough good sense to know that Harris Tweed was something special.💞

Absolutely amazing to watch. I have 2 caps from Scotland that are Harris Tweed. They have the trade mark patch. I love it
alot of people think wool is hard and scratchy not harris tweed wool garments there soft to the feel and touch.
