Replacing a Power Steering Pump
• Check belts for cracks or oil contamination
• Check hoses for leaks or wear and consider replacing them if they are older than 5 years
• Inspect the power steering system and suspension
• Compare the new product to the old product
• Always install a new reservoir, if applicable
• Every part should be installed to factory torque specs
• Flush the system with recommended fluid type
• Vacuum bleed the system every time a line is open

After installing a new pump I noticed when I rotate my steering back and front on without moving the car it starts vibrating like the force is dropping and can be noticed on the speedometer

Hi,
If you have not already vacuumed the system, please do so.
To vacuum the system:
20 inches of vacuum for 15 minutes.
If you are holding vacuum, then that is good.
If you are not holding vacuum, you have a hole in the return portion of the power steering system and you are pulling in air.
This will aerate the fluid making it erratic (and sometimes noisy).

How do you "disable the engine from starting"?

Hi Aden,
Depending on the vehicle there are a few ways to prevent the engine from starting:
Older models you can disconnect the coil (if there is only one coil it’s easy).
Newer models (multi coils) you can disconnect the fuel pump fuse/relay, or the inertia switch - on a Ford, or the ignition fuse/relay - if it is easier to access than the fuel pump fuse/relay.
