Thanks. I learned absolutely nothing.
Pick the mimosa flowers. Put only the flower portion into a jar. Put alcohol such as ever clear or vodka in it so that the flowers are just barely covered. Cover and let sit for 2-4 weeks. Strain. Use a dropper to apply 4-6 drops into a drink for health benefits. Mimosa is a mood booster used for thousands of years. Can also be made into a tea decoction. Enjoy!
😂 me either but it makes me want to learn more 🌸
Look up medicinal benefits of mimosa.
Its a tincture for those asking. Mix flowers and even small roots with everclear. Let sot for a few weeks and you'll get a purplish liquid. Make sure to mix or use only a few drops. Fun fact mimosa is also used in the making of DMT, a strong psychoactive drug.
not this species of mimosa! this species is albizia julibrissin and contains zero dmt, and as such will not get you high. this species has been used to treat depression instead! also, as an experienced tincture-maker I would suggest just 100 proof vodka, which is 50% water and 50% alcohol, this means it'll extract both water soluble and alcohol soluble compounds! 🥰
@@TheLordOfTheCats7 good to know!
This mimosa doesn't have DMT
I would NOT use everclear. 100 proof vodka is fool proof and all ya need!
Is bird poop water soluble?
I have 2 that I grew from the seeds of my grandma's trees 56 years ago
I just boiled two cups of water with about a quarter cup of mimosa bark and a little bit of clove and juniper and added a couple drops of lavender oil, rose water concentrate, and honey. It turned out great.
I have these trees in my yard. They're in flower now. I had no idea you could use the flowers for anything, just thought they were pretty.
Yea!!! And they say money doesn't grow on trees! Ha! Someone didn't know what they were looking for! This is a God send tree
I just found out how Medicinal these trees are. I have several in my yard. I also found out that the bark can be simmered for 15 min. and made into a tea. It can help with Depression and Anxiety and also Insomnia.
They are also edible. I eat the flowers and chew on the leaves!
Can you please explain what you do?
Has anyone actually tried this? I know someone now who needs this, but I want to hear some testimonies first.
I tried it an hour ago. I used 3 flowers in boiling 3 oz of water, strained, and it made me feel similar to a stoned feeling. But 3 is probably not enough. The inner bark is used for a longer lasting impact that is less potent.
What liquid is that?
most likely 100 proof vodka, frequently used for making herbal tinctures
Vodka or Everclear?
@janlambert4174 yes 100 proof vodka, best for making tinctures because it's 50% water and 50% alcohol and can efficiently extract both water and alcohol soluble properties from plant matter
Use any really high proof alcohol, everclear is your cheapest bet
@@janlambert4174 look up how to make tinctures, everclear is the cheapest way to go though
Can you please post a recipe? Can you used dried flowers as well?
the recipe is enough flowers to fill a jar, and then pour 100 proof vodka over top. yes, dried flowers can be used although fresh are preferred! 100 proof vodka is best because it's 50% water and 50% which means it efficiently extracts all water and alcohol soluble compounds. also please know this isn't the species of mimosa that has psychoactive effects!
after that, screw your lid on tight, leave it somewhere cool and dark to infuse for 4-6 weeks. when that time is up, strain it and rebottle it and your tincture is ready to take!
I've been wanting this tree forever! I just need to go buy it!
@For.Your_Info wished you lived in Mt.Airy, Maryland. I have ALOT of these trees and lots of baby one's coming up everywhere!
@For.Your_Info If you dug them up you could have them for free.
I made tea with at least twice this many dried flowers yesterday and it had no effect. Freshly picked, dried a few days
Don't dry them for tea. Use them fresh. It will give you a mildly stoned feeling. But, if it doesn't with fresh flowers, your body chemistry is immune.
@@grainofsand7841Use them fresh how? Alcoholic hols have to stay away from alcohol ,so how do you suggest we use it?
The bark is where it’s concentrated most. All of the decoctions I have used were made with the Bark.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Have t seen one of these trees in yrs.
Jason Mimosa was great in Game of Thrones.
Bro I made tea from the flowers and bark of mimosa and I was trippin balls for an hour
this is absolutely not the kind of mimosa that has dmt lol the mimosa in this video is albizia julibrissin not mimosa hostilis where dmt is synthesized from
@@TheLordOfTheCats7 absolutely and plus a simple tea wouldn’t of extracted dmt if it had any but there are definitely some spicy alkaloids within this particular species that can and large doses definitely produce psychoactive effects for about and hour at least in my experience
Also your bodies natural inhibitors woild block the uptake of dmt through the digestive system. @TheLordOfTheCats7
@ChristianRoland-jh6vx
idk what psychoactive alkaloids you're talking about lol you're thinking of a different type my guy, or you're horribly depressed one of the two
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10230641/
@@ChristianRoland-jh6vxcould you explain this to me? I have these everywhere and I really feel like the DMT people are calling me
That doesn't look like alcohol it looks thicker ....oil ...maybe glycerin...what is it ?!?
. . . I think you are confused, a happy drink called a mimosa is made from champagne and orange juice, not actually mimosa flowers although that is a great idea for garnishment 😅
Google it, every part of this tree is Medicinal. This video doesn't really explain anything.
@@redapples5372 . . . that is about as smart as saying that you saw it on TV 📺 🤣 👌
Hello there,
The person is right. Research botanical and Chinese holistic medicine as well. The Mimosa tree is used medically. It give a feeling of euphoria to many people. Others might just feel happy, and others might just not feel a thing.
The mimosa drink is a favorite of a friend of mine.
I have a history of severe diverticulitis. I can’t have alcohol ☠️☹️so no tinctures for me
You can make a tea from the flowers and inner bark just the same as any other natural herb tea let it sit for a good 15 to 20 min before consuming I forget the measurements but it's one of those that has zero negative effects so it's not crucial but look it up there are plenty of videos on here I'm just learning about them
look into glycerite/glycerine tinctures instead! 😉
Can't you use ACV instead??
@user-ni9px8gp5m yes, acc or white vinegar can be used, and the end product mixed with honey for an herbal preparation called an oxymel. not sure thay vinegar works as well, but it can be used!
Dmt.... the world is good
