How come these cars are so reliable? I see lots of them from around 2003, seems like they are just as reliable as an old Yaris or am I mistaken? Also do they drive better?
Old school engines are bulletproof even the petrols the downside is rust kills a lot of them off the road unfortunately but engine and handling wise they’re amazing cars
I had one of these 1999 1.8 Tddi 90 Remapped to 115BHP 250NM gearbox was amazing for an old girl engine was quiet for a non common rail and being remapped it was surprisingly quick in gear shove
@@zurcherzurich213 very good I had a 1.8 16v petrol MP3 model as well as the diesel it was a very fast car however it had a problem it was a petroloholic 😂
i have a 2003 tdci ghia mint condition 61000 miles and a 04 sport tdci amazing cars.
Could you do a Ford mondeo mk3 TDCI, would love to see that!
I'll see what I can do!

Agreed. Even as standard it feels punchy, no low revs lag like a lot of modern 4 cylinder diesels
I bought my 2004, 1.8 petrol engine, 10 days ago :)

Same as my dads 1.8tddi 03 plate good old engine not lound at all
Older 1.8 TDDi will last forever more reliable than the newer 1.6 TDCi Ford used the same 1.8 block from the mid 80s til the early 2010s.
