What I like about Karl Kopinski, is that he really shows us that we can and should draw what we want to draw. We don't have to be stuck drawing what we think others want us to draw. It's really inspiring.
Yeah! It really is. I really want to fill up sketchbooks like he does, since he’s really efficient with his space. It kinda reminds me of how Zalinki fills his sketchbooks. You’ve heard of him, right?
I really enjoyed the end, with the personal piece, where he rendered with both hands in two completely different sections. Insane level of talent and skill. If he an alien? I couldn't imagine writing my name with my left hand, or both at the same time.
Karl Kopinski is one of those Artists I found twice. The First Time, he was Part of GWs House Style and was one reason for me to keep drawing, and made me confident that colour is a decision, not a prerequisite of making art. Later I found his art and was blown away...then I realised he was the Guy doing the Art that was so influential to me. So great to see one of my great Art- Heroes here, Since Your Channel Helped me to find Back into Drawing and re-learn my basics and all that.
What a lovable guy. I have loved his work for some time now but I think I like it even more having spent some time listening to him talk about his work.
Not sure who exactly but I enjoy all those great artists’ sketchbook tour. Any artist that draws figure (mainly non-manga style) is fine by me. Once again thank you for the great video.
Karl is amazing, thank you for posting this, a true Christmas gift. I love his art, how humble he is, how excited and fascinated he gets with everything + you cant beat a good northern British accent :)
joseph thuo maybe buy some interesting art books for him. Not those guides but just collections of cool stuff from all sorts of genres. Maybe go to the museum with him or generally watch interesting movies with him. I remember quite many things that I loved at a young age be it from video games, movies, or generally things that made me feel good. That kinda exposure could become meaningful to him which might turn into something fabulous in the future. schools have this way of making things feel tiresome and dull if you let them.
That man is sheer insanity and my favorite for years since ive watched his very first sketchbook showdown on youtube.... Damn, I love his stuff so much ✨
people do sketchbooks per month or week! depends how much time you put into it. but quality sketches and practice should come first. karls sketches are very good
Amazing video as usual. Mr Kopinski is in my top 3 artist. If you can, I think you should do a video with the Canadian artist David Finch. He does high contrast pencil art, with one of the most unique cross-hatching/rendering style I've ever witnessed. His use of heavy shadowed areas including cast shadows, gives his art real depth. His unique way of cross-hatching and use of negative space, sets him apart from his peers.
Finishing up the video, assessing the beautiful work I have been absorbing, and then at 13:57 I spy a collection of Palomino Blackwings in the bottom right corner, my favorite brand of pencil. Proko knows what's up.
I also fill a ton of sketchbooks, it's that mine are actual sketches and his are... Well, if I made one like that with my current skill, I'd build a shrine and pray to it as my magnum opus. No matter, I will get there and beyond. I will be the new Kim Jung Gi once he retires! TO THE SMETCHBOOK!
Jajajaja i came here to comment the same :( my SketchBooks are just experiments and studies from books, and have just like 20 decent pieces that i've uploaded here on YT or on my IG... Anyway, i'm prouf of my first year progress.
To be honest he is the first artist I know who is left handed. Thank the heavens above that there are still people like this, this means I still have a chance🤣🤣
I hope we get to see more of 'Karl Kopinski' his work is amazing and inspiring. I also would love to see 'Simon Stalenhag' on proko, even through he mainly does digital work, i would still love to see him get interviewed or anything, cause his work it amazing
I love Karl such a great artist and sense of humor, I love sketchbooks I spend so much time in mine especially since I can take it and draw up a quick sketch on my 15 minute breaks at work p
Love how distinguished and unique each character's face is.
My single favorite sketch artist on Instagram. His art is were I want to be someday. Soo detailed, so well drawn

This man is a legend. His brother Stefan Kopinski is an astounding professional artist too. Far too much talent in one family!!
So true. Even his son's sketches that he taped into his book are enough to rival my art.

YES! Karl Kopinski. FINALLY HERE!
Karl's style is so appealing to me. And nothing is better than seeing an artists sketchbook. Thanks.

I love your art Karl’s, let alone the fact that, for all your talent, you are so modest and nice.
It's great to see Karl Kopinski's sketchbook! Awesome source of inspiration and he is so humble as a person too
Proko, you’re the best. Bringing amazing people in broadens the understanding of how to “see.” Karl Kopinski shares a ton. THANKS 🙏🏽
I love the sketchbook tours. My recommendations for an artist sketchbook tour is Phillip Tan, Sanford Greene, or even Marshall Vandruff
SwordzOfTheVoid thanks for the recommendations
Karl is such a wonderful artiste, i've always been amazed by his work, very inspiring

every interview with Karl hypes you up to draw so much.
liked KK, his work and himself. A down to earth guy who is not afraid to be so openly himself, a quality in today' s world if you catch my meaning

You are so soft and stylish. While watching the video, the fingertips are like a living magic hand.
Me: Yeah! I finished a whole sketchbook in 5 months!
This guy: 5 sketchbooks a year.
people do sketchbooks per month or week! depends how much time you put into it. but quality sketches and practice should come first. karls sketches are very good
5 months? I take like 1 year
Also remember that he often only uses one side of a page 😋
you'll finish ~2 sketchbooks a year
This dude is now one of my top fav artists
I absolutely love Karl Kopinski! Awesome artist and such a chill guy! :)
At first i thought the zombie mariachi was moving on its own and i just thought “He draws so well that his art is coming to life!”
Eleeza Sketchbook Tour will be amazing to me!! I will be waiting Proko & Thanks for Karl's sketchbook too...
THIS is Christmas, thank you so much! Off the top of my head, bringing James Jean into the studio would be really cool. And Eliza Ivanovna!

when i see karl’s work i see a hardworking and passionate but humble person :) he is a modern master in my opinion
It's just so alive, brings a tear to my eye really. Wish i could just draw what i thought about.
These videos send me on an artist's high
Love Karls work and approach/work ethic, I'm doing a lot of studies filling up sketchbooks... need to do a KK study I love his monkey king stuff
Def get the Big Kopinsky book they show here. I bought it when it came out, primarily to do master studies and learn better character invention.

Those are mere sketches yet for many of us that is already very challenging to draw. Amazing!
Impressed by his artwork and familiarity with the classic, Chinese fantasy "Journey to the West"
more study from Karl Kopinski i saw study for him he was simple and his instructions was direct and very helpful
To be honest he is the first artist I know who is left handed. Thank the heavens above that there are still people like this, this means I still have a chance🤣🤣
Ugh, incredible lines and detail. 😭 Beautiful stuff.
