Very slim odds in the sixties . I hitch hiked all over the US in the sixties , from age 13 to 19 . We didn't have all the crime and psychos back then as we do now . As I recall , this was a sixties song .
where was I ? Computer threw me off . ... and an undershirt . Girl in N . C. said I could stay at her home . Got there and the mother said no . " looks like my plans fell through " . I kicked off my shoes and headed west . Long long story . Did this and that , crossed the U. S. I finally made it back to VA. After a nice welcoming by the police . ( they threw me in jail ) I never found out the charge . Fortunately , I did not go back on the road .

@@tommurphree5630 well yeah I guess you know I mean I don't really see what you mean by not stuck if you can hitchhike home cuz you might not have got home you might have got your head cut off or who knows what could happen to you plenty of people hitchhiking disappear.

Yeah he was stuck came in on a Greyhound he'll be walking now if he goes. I guess you're more optimistic about hitchhiking.
