Thank you for breaking that down. I'm due for a new credit card and this helps determine which may be a better fit for me right now.

what do you think about the rogers 2-3% cashback mastercard?

This is an amazing video! I recently applied for the ion+ visa after using rbc mastercard cashback for a year. I looked up online on which card to get next but a good amount of them requires an annual income.

Thanks Danny! The Ion+ is a great step up from the Cashback MasterCard. What do you think you’re going to add to your wallet next?

How would you rate the RBC Avion Visa Infinite?
While the earn rates on this card are not the best, it my experience it has the strongest set of travel benefits in monetary value. Especially with insurance!
Unfortunately I don’t see anyone talking about this card even though it provides higher insurance thresholds than most Amex peers as well.

      I'd say it's a pretty decent card.
As you mentioned, the earn rates are what probably drag it down for most people. I would probably hold the Ion+ and then get the Avion VI when I know I want to redeem the points, as it has higher earn rates and you can transfer the points across the two accounts.
We've made a full video on the Avion cards if you want to hear our thoughts in a little more detail.

I'd take a look at the Amex Cobalt, or if you want to stick with TD, the Aeroplan Visa Infinite.

Hi I have a quick question. Do you just keep on applying for new cards every year because let’s take an example of aeroplan you got that bonus 70k points you ll prolly just get 2 business class flights on…I see people travelling all over the world with multiple flights are they doing the same or actually spending money on their credit card

I can't say for others, but I'd assume a balance of both. In my case, the vast majority comes from applying for new cards (~75%), and the rest comes from spending.

Hey, I just turned 18 I was wondering if it was a good idea to apply for the Amex simply cash-back card even though it’s a beginner card I heard Amex requires u to already have a credit file open to apply for any of their cards. I don’t know if I will get declined or not. Any insight on this?
