The problem with films nowadays is that you never really connect with the characters. With Bill Bixby's hulk you really felt for him and connected emotionally. It wasn't all random smashing and violence every 10 seconds. The main character had greater depth. Unfortunately Times Have Changed.
ᗰᑌᑎTY Bill Bixby was the perfect Dr. David Bruce Banner. His emotional range was incredible, no pun intended. Even as a child watching the series in the late 1970's to early 1980's I connected with him and understood him. I grew up an only child so I knew his loneliness. Thank you, Mr. Bixby. R.I.P.
He was the most relateable character of my early teen years. he was alone and angry and nothing seemed to work out as it should have. I had great respect for him. I felt I could relate to him. his death is terrible and tragic. the disrespect at his funeral was heartbreaking. RIP the incredible hulk, the strongest there was(physically and emotionally) 1962-2016. I hope banner could put this all behind him and move on and forget all the rage and sorrow. Wish I had that strength when I found out he died. :,(

It wasn't just mindless violence and anger, it was being misunderstood and mistreated in life. Bill Bixby really created the perfect Banner, and to me, it seemed like it wasn't scripted at times. Every time I'm by myself, I listen to this song. It's because it reminds me of how much of a monster I've become over the years, how angry I've gotten and how bitter I've turned over the years and how it's taken a toll on my life and the people in it. It reminds me of how my ex-stepfather hurt me so badly and broke me, sexually abusing me and mentally manipulating me... It hurts to think of these things, but I can't stop... They haunt my mind constantly, and I can't make them go away... I'm so lost and depressed in my life that I can't focus on anything but those thoughts. I need help... Edit: It's been years, but I might as well give an update. I've been getting my life back together, I'm living with my life partner now, I just got approved for SSI benefits, and I'm looking into getting a service dog. Thank you to all the concerned people who were checking on me and telling their stories here... It did get better, and I'm happy for all the progress I've made.

The reason I want it played at my funeral is because just as David Banner struggled with his ailment of being the hulk, I've struggled with ailment of a heart condition as well as epilepsy caused by a stroke I had when I was only 3 years old.
