REverse Trap was part of my favorite OTK back when I played a decade and a half ago. I'd get out a 3000 atk beatstick and equip it with Twin swords of Flashing Light Tryce, and Shooting Star Bow Ceal to reduce its atk 1500 but let it attack twice directly, and then reverse trap on attack so I could theoretically attack twice directly for 4500. it wasn't reliable, but it was still janky and fun
I always had fun finding interesting ways to use twin swords. My favorite is in a Destiny Hero deck with Dystopia. Dystopia destroys my opponent's monster, resets its attack back to normal, giving me a 2800 that can attack twice, and the possibility that the discard cost of the spell was used to set up a graveyard effect like Malicious or something.
Time goddess was btw added to LotD. Maybe that helps the ygopro people. Also according to that implementation "end of turn" effects are not skipped. Just effects that happen marked by phases. I feel like you could make a similar video for cards that don't have complicated effects, but are just worded strangely. Looking at you, Penguin Knight.
One of my fave combos is using ground collapse with the ojama trio trap. It makes it nearly impossible to summon any monsters without first getting rid of the non tributable ojamas and or dealing with the ground collapse effect somehow if it isnt negated initially. So you set your opponent up with two sealed monster zones with the remaining three being occupied by useless tokens. I found it a decent defense for my burn deck and I didnt even have ojama king
@@snizzy9839 because with trio I can possibly take over all main monster zones with two cards. Though link monsters soften the effectiveness of this tactic as I could basically just give free material to my opponent for link summons. I honestly found better success with two ground collapse in play

Well, you could either interpret a pair of Dai Dance as doing that, or as one of their effects overriding the other, or as duplicating the monster summoned into both zones.
Fake trap would be another pretty good example of a weird card effect, and I'd say kaiser coliseum and ground collapse as well. Soul exchange used to be unique, with really only lava golem being similar, but that changed a lot when the kaijus and sphere mode hit. I am curious though whether or not you can target a specific monster card zone with dai dance and then kill it with ground collapse or ojama king...
Use Magical Hats in a Phantom Knight deck. And I remember I used to combo An Unfortunate Report with Yubel and Battle Mania, for the time, the combo was op.
Another good card to mention is Fake Trap, which lets you destroy it instead of another trap card. An old emulator I used to play on didn't have that card because it would be too complicated to program.

Old yugioh cards be like: During your main phase, special summon 5 'forbidden one' cards from your deck to your side of the field face down, then challenge your opponent to construct a house of cards with them. If their structure is stable after 1 minute, you take 700 points of damage and must discard your hand. If after 1 minute the structure is not standing upright, your opponent takes 1200 points of damage. Then, in either case, return the 5 cards back to your hand.
When a spell or trap, which have an effect "when destroed", gets summoned by Migickal Hats and gets destroyed by battle, the effect of it won't activate. Spell and traps, which activate when destroyed and sent to the GY, will activate either way.

I'm glad to see the variety of older cards. Most of your lists only involve cards from the last decade. It's nice to see some of the older cards like Reverse Trap and Magical Hats. Another old card I'd recommend for this list would be Draconic Attack. It can only be equip to a Warrior monster, it increases their attack by 500, and it changes their type to Dragon. To my knowledge, this is the only equip spell card that changes a card's type and the only type change card that only affects one monster.

In the oldest times, Reverse Trap + Venom Swamp, could instakill any enemy monsters with any original atk different of 0... but when the monsters has 0 original atk or the atk reduced to 0 and has a lot of venom counters... the fun begins...
I suggested this before, but it sorta ties into this theme. Effects you're surprised don't exist on cards yet (however you want to interpret that). For example, over a decade ago I came up with a spell card that destroys a monster on the field, but the destruction in considered "by battle."
5:40 reminds me of the Landscaper goldilocks Also can only be sunmmoned to the middle zone, also destroys all the stuff in the columns its in (but also where it started to move + everythign in between) and u can move it once per turn
I feel like ther abyss actor clown had one of ther weirdest effects I've ever seen. It has a pendulum scale 8, I forget the name. But it switches sides and effect activates when it switches
I discovered Spirit Elimination yesterday, while browsing the YGO wiki. I never knew this card existed because it's so ridiculously obscure. I knew some of the very old obscure cards like Kiseitai and Metal Detector. I was very confused when I initially read the card effect. It's use is so ridiculously niche and extremely impractical.
I used to own those cards... Jinzo #7, kiseitai, skull lair, the original normal monster gradius, spirit elimination, and some other cards back when it's still "magic card" instead of "spell card". ...until my kindergarten cousin accidentally found my long forgotten card stash and used the cards inside to play X-men's Gambit on the backyard... and it was raining soon after

He’s trying to seduce her
Yes it will work with wall of disruption.
He's wooing Lady Warrior.
Just started watching your channel and this inspired me to get back into yugioh again! Your content is amazing, I’m glad I’m now apart of this community:)
TheDuelLogs: "And here we have Reverse Trap."
Me, a degenerate: *trying not to laugh*
Sneek thicc
In the oldest times, Reverse Trap + Venom Swamp, could instakill any enemy monsters with any original atk different of 0... but when the monsters has 0 original atk or the atk reduced to 0 and has a lot of venom counters... the fun begins...
I suggested this before, but it sorta ties into this theme. Effects you're surprised don't exist on cards yet (however you want to interpret that). For example, over a decade ago I came up with a spell card that destroys a monster on the field, but the destruction in considered "by battle."
Gravekeeper's vassal comes to mind, inflicting burn damage instead of battle damage.
Top 10 most disturbing/weird yugioh artworks
5:40 reminds me of the Landscaper goldilocks
Also can only be sunmmoned to the middle zone, also destroys all the stuff in the columns its in (but also where it started to move + everythign in between) and u can move it once per turn
Dai Dance, but replace it with Star Lord extending his hand out to Gamora in the dance off to save the universe.
I thought Solomon lawbook will including in this list
I feel like ther abyss actor clown had one of ther weirdest effects I've ever seen. It has a pendulum scale 8, I forget the name. But it switches sides and effect activates when it switches
Isn’t this list’s concept kinda similar to the “Top 10 Cards with Unique Effects” video you did a long while ago?
I'd forgotten about that list maybe some of the cards I mentioned are in it time for a rewatch 😄 You could treat this as a sequel.
Jinzo #7, kiseitai, skull lair, the original normal monster gradius, spirit elimination, and some other cards back when it's still "magic card" instead of "spell card".
...until my kindergarten cousin accidentally found my long forgotten card stash and used the cards inside to play X-men's Gambit on the backyard... and it was raining soon after
@@spearsage what a brat. I feel sorry for you man.
I knew about this card because I first got into Yugioh back when Pharaonic Guardians had just come out.
Man, you have to admit that if you ever successfully used Weather Report, you would have just the biggest smile on your face.
Can prob chain Dai Dance to cards that would summon multiple monsters at the same time (i.e. return from a different dimension) since it blocks multiple monsters from being summoned to multiple zones
That Dai Dance artwork is actually killing me XD
Same 😂😂😂😂
