@@backwoodsboy5106 we were using cut mullet and shrimp. Caught em good for two days, the last day not so much.

I was at an the point from wendsday to Friday shakes were horrible the drum were there tho seen a bunch of old drum caught I'm in Wilmington come down every spring a few times to chase the drum bite
Yeah the sharks are always a hassle at the point gotta pick through them to get the drum but in the spring and fall it’s much easier to catch a good drum.
I've been trying to find some guys to go to Hatteras with to split fuel/bait if y'all are local and might be interested that be cool
@@georgepetron1572 yea I fish north topsail in the fall and bald head island just gotta have that NE wind for a few days straight to wash the spots and mullet on the beach Hatteras island you want a SW wind

You should have seen the fishing there 50 years ago 20 times better during spring and fall runs.
Grew up in Avon cottage, San fiddler lane. Best times of my life. Never a disappointment. Too bad it’s become commercialized. Very sad.
While everyone is concerned with global warming our fisheries are being depleted before our eyes. It’s a dire situation.

@@outcastfishin ha. Never been in the camp ground, but have stayed in houses sound side near there. Ive been in the store. I just couldnt picture any camp ground sound side besides that one.
