When David Bowie does an impression of you, you KNOW you have something special!
David Bowie did a great take off of Mick Jagger
What you think, who will be David Bowie's next impersonation target? xDDD
@@anttimaki6633 Lol.
david bowie was a pedophile
Wow, the caps you wrote really sold this to everyone here. Thank you!
Whitehouse and Mortimer " gone fishing" absolute tv gold.
Bless him. Paul was a bit shy with all the Hollywood stars - not that he needed to be as he is so fantastically talented - but Graham gave him a lift with the Bowie clip.
He was the most talented person in the room there.
@@SMacCuUladh no idea as just clicked, 100% definite, no matter
Sort of met Paul Whitehouse a while back, I work in a shopping center and suddenly heard a voice behind me asking me If I could help find a car in our car park, turning around as done many times before to help customers, it was Paul, with his wife and daughter, in shock, and sort of hyperventilating (been a bit of a fan for years) had a little conversation whilst helping, you know, sort of "oh what brings you to this neck of the woods", i think he said something like shopping, lol a bit obvious, but got him to his car and he thanked me then his little girl said bye as I was walking away, I looked back he was holding her hand and was encouraging her to wave, thoroughly bloody nice bloke, did not ask for selfie or autograph as, did not want to intrude on his privacy.
Brilliant!
Like the tim nice but dim bit at the end haha
How cool!!
Lovely story
I can imagine Paul being very down to earth in real life, his characters often have a loveable side to them. I'm with you on how to be with famous people- treat them as anyone else, it's too tiring to expect them to be "always on"- they're entitled to a life outside of celebrity. Though this is sometimes easier said than done if you're a bit awestruck!
The title caught me off guard for a second.
Paul Whitehouse is probably the most underrated comic actor/actor's England ever produced. Legend.
England didn't produce him - he was born in Glamorgan, Wales.
@@huwthomas4173 Cool.
@@huwthomas4173 And moved to england when he was 4. Doubt he was up to much when he was 4. Conclusion: England produced him. Brilliant!
apart from him being massively rated
He looked uncomfortable trying to do an impersonation here, I don't even know who it was.
I sincerely hope that the 3 Hollywood stars realise just how legendary Paul Whitehouse is.
Indeed, Whitehouse is one of the best character actors this country has ever produced. It also shows how even legends like Bowie also have people they like and admire. It's a pity they never met.
They don't
@@lwaves which country? The UK isn't a "Country", but a union. Something people conveniently seem to forget.
@@taffyducks544 I never mentioned the UK. Might want to learn how to understand what you read, before you jump to assumptions because of your own issues.
Taffy Ducks didn’t mention uk? Very odd comment
Isn’t David Bowie brilliant he did all that music and acting and was a really great guy, brilliant! 🙌🏻
Fantastic!
Well played, my son!
Yeah, and now that he's dead he doesn't have to worry about paying the bills or doing the shopping ever again! Brilliaaaaaant!!!!
I read the title and forgot Bowie passed away for a second.
at least we've still got bowie -Wade
You are not alone .... I thought the same .
What a stupid thing to say.
He passed away for more than a second
I thought “Nice! Graham Norton got him on the sh- oh, this was in 2019...” it never fails to sadden me remembering he’s 6 feet under. It’s such a slap in the face remembering he’s 6feet under when I’m happy about him by hearing stories of him or listen to his music
that was cool because for a moment there the other guests didnt know who Paul was or gave a sh*t BUT as soon as they saw Bowie impersonating him EVERYTHING changed.
Who _were_ the other guests?
As Micky Flannery would say.
3 boring yanks
And a comedian put on the end to save the day.
Micky Flanagan
That's showbiz. They need other people to make up their minds for them.
Very true :-)
Paul is the Salt of the earth… Completely natural.. 👌🏼
Paul Whitehouse by far the best actor on that sofa
Dont be ridiculous...was there a human on this planet who even smiled let alone laughed...are you f****** mental ?
100% Jared ❤. He is . Johnny Depp says PW is the best actor he's ever known. Did some fast show stuff too .
Love the fact they seemed really underwhelmed by Whitehouse (who we all know is a genius) until David Bowie ACTUALLY did an impression of him. So good.
😊 Out of that lot I only recognise Paul Whitehouse 😅
Yes, you can see the dark haired woman next to him ( I assume I should know who she is) physically getting closer to him as it becomes obvious Bowie thought he was cool.
"the dark haired woman" is the beautiful Jennifer Connelly, who played the girl Sarah in 'Labyrinth' (alongside Bowie of course) She's made a ton of films and for many blokes, myself included, is the most gorgeous woman to have walked the planet. Check out 'The Hot Spot' or 'Career Opportunities' to see her at her most stunning. @@D1fferentDrummer
@@D1fferentDrummerare you kidding me? that's Jennifer Connelly who starred in Labyrinth with David Bowie. She married a British actor and would most likely know who Paul Whitehouse is already.
Paul Whitehouse is one of the most underrated comedians of my era, without a doubt.
He's better than Harry IMO.
And actors!!!
He's not underrated to those that know.
Underrated? 😀 Been in numerous films and comedy series for three decades.
We're you expecting an Oscar?
Wasn’t it Jonny Depp who said Whitehouse is one of the most skilled actors he’d ever met
Johnny Depp asked if he could appear on The Fast Show because he was such a fan. He played a customer in the “Suits you Sir” men’s outfitters sketch with Paul and Mark Williams. He obviously loved every moment of it.
Johnny Depp said Paul Whitehouse is the greatest actor in the world.
Suit you…not Suits you
I loved Whitehouse singing opera at the fishmongers. He truly is a man of many talents.
His Mother ws an opera singer from Wales.
Yes, Who's That Girl, Bing Bang Bong turned into an amazing opera... Bless you Mr Whitehouse... Much love and respect xx
And i was watching this behind the scenes documentary, and lo and behold, Bowie did an impersonation of ME!?
.....Which was nice.
Paul Whitehouse. He looked genuinely uncomfortable on the show. I like him. Humble. Endearing. Comic legend. Thank you Paul.
same qualities as Robin Williams. the most outrageous comics are the ones with the most poetic souls in real life and the warmest hearts.
Anyone wd be next to her, she's so ridiculously beautiful
@@willmac5642 Who? Graham Norton? Okay, he's not a pug, but beautiful?? 😳😳
Yeaaaaaaaaah, I think possibly he was a bit taken aback by the most beautiful woman in the world sitting on his right and looking deeply into his eyes.... god, she's so amazing 😭😭😭
I cant stop smiling everytime i watch David Bowie
Omg same rocket
Bowie on Extras with Ricky Gervais was a priceless clip!!Absolute class!
I still remember my reaction when I saw my idol of 40 years singing about 'pug nosed face' Hilarious genius from Ricky Gervais, his idol too
It’s a shame that Bowie never came on Graham’s show. That would’ve been… wait for it, brilliant.
Paul Whitehouse is the most talented person in the room
I made exactly the same comment before I read yours.
I know that this clip is about Paul Whitehouse and David Bowie (RIP), but Jennifer Connelly is absolutely beautiful.
ok Kanye. shut up
Johnny Depp, has said that he is one of the greatest, in the industry.
I would personally take that as a quality compliment.
He is a absolute genius and brilliant real sincere man 👍👍👍👌
I would personally take that as a quality insult, swings and roundabouts eh....
An homage from Bowie is something I would put on my gravestone.
Give Whitehouse a knighthood.... He's a national treasure
I don’t think it will happen because the Queen wouldn’t be able to resist, in the middle of the ceremony, to start saying “oh, suit you sir”
Absolutely, The Fast Show is GOLD
Perhaps he doesn't want to join that 'club'
Paul is not just a great comedian but one of the finest actors who's ever lived. His performance as Rowley Birken QC reminiscing over his long lost love brought me to tears instantly the first time I saw it and the effect hasn't worn off since. Paul achieves such pathos with little more than looks and gestures, barely a comprehensible word but you know Rowley is suffering agonies. The great Johnny Depp, one of the finest actors of our generation said he thought Paul was the greatest actor who's ever lived and asked if he could have a guest slot on the Fast Show because he admires Paul so much. I also love the fishing series with Bob Mortimer. "DON'T wind in Bob!!!" "If I wind in will you strike me Paul?" "Oops, he's fallen over again already." "and awayyyy".
The Rowley Birken skit is one of the very best gut punches filmed.
The pathos he brought to Ted the gardener and the sad man in the pub was amazing
And of course to the Green Army in the car insurance adverts on TV
He was amazing in Ghost Stories too
I don`t know, i was really drunk at the time.
The fast show was BRILLIANT😅
It was. But now it wouldn't 'suit' the times, sir.
Thanks for posting.
My ex wifes friend worked on the fast show (location manager or something like that), and was good friends with the whole cast. Paul Whitehouse did his brilliant character and recorded her voice mail message. 😀
Brilliant! ; ) Somehow not surprising. Mr Whitehouse seems very down-to-earth, and compassionate even, which I suppose are traits inherent in a true (and rare!) comic genius like him…
That would have been an amazing experience.
Jennifer Connolly is utterly breathtaking
Yeah that’s all I was seeing and looking at.
She was..
Utterly pretentious more like 😮
Ever since I saw her in the Rocketeer I've been a fan. Obviously the Hot Spot was a highlight :)
Nice of them to put aside his passing and focus on who he was as a person.
He passed though.
@@johnsmith-wx5fb Yep. I know. I was just saying it was nice for them to put that aside for the sake of appreciating who he was before that.
@@AqibA.C. i know, good for you.
What did he pass; wind, water, Waitrose? Why just not say died, or is that too unwoke now?
@@VickersDoorter The same reason you don't say to a widow, how are you doing since your husband's death. It's less clinical and more polite.
When was the definition of "Hysterical" changed to "Kind of semi amusing I suppose"?
When clickbait became a thing.
Due to the Internet and Hollyoaks people can no longer regulate their emotions.
Paul Whitehouse and David Bowie, two great British gems. Given so much pleasure to millions of people around the World, thank you. 😄🌍🎵
Forget BAFTAS and golden globes, give me David Bowie liking anything I’d ever done every time.
"Help" was absolute genius.
Paul Whitehouse is beloved by so many people and creatives. He is so underrated and brilliant...yes, I said BRILLIANT!
This video was brilliant.
David and Paul…. Both BRILLIANT 🤩
Bowie the best... Thank you for giving the world your music. Rip my friend
David was awesome at his impressions 😂😂
When it showed David Bowie doing the impression and he says "fantastic" it reminded me of his quite unknown gem of a song called Heart's Filthy Lesson. "That's a fantastic death abyss, tell the others" =P
'Unknown'...? Isn't that the outro to Se7en?
Julio Geordio and Rowley Birkin QC make me laugh hysterically to this day. And the pet northener as well!
Legend
Miss the brilliant David Bowie
Harry & Paul. just brilliant !
I didn't think about it at the time, but Jennifer Connelly (sitting right next to Whitehouse) starred in "Labyrinth" with Bowie. Incidentally, Bowie said he got recognized more by kids for his role as the Goblin King in that movie than for anything else he ever did.
I think someone needs to check the definition of "HYSTERICAL"
Mmm!
He was a singer, not a bloddy comedian tho. Brilliant!
That was arguably the weakest chatacter whitehouse did
That’s such a flex. Bowie is a legend
Rest In Peace, Mr David Bowie 🙏😭
We miss you, David!!!!
Talk shows.. brilliant
That's brilliant
Mr Paul Whitehouse is A Legend .
Fast Show RULES.
The character that says everything is brilliant. Works on so few levels.
Brilliant comment.
Ain't @@DavidSmith-oy4of Brilliant?!
Pablo whitehouse.....TOP GEEZZZAA....we love ya DOWN MILLWALL 🇯🇲🇬🇧💯❤️
Bro I thought Bowie came back from the dead 😭😭😭 Someone bring him back for real.
Faked his death so he’s out there somewhere.
To do what? Have sex with another underage girl? His music is amazing but since I found out what he'd done, and fairly late I might add, I can no longer listen to his stuff.
Timothy Graham Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Marc Bolan and basically all of those 60s/70s artists slept with their underage fans. Disgusting if you ask me.
Yeh that's fukdup
@@timothygraham4304 Honestly, shut up
Oh the rest of the fast cast must love this
Class actor
Oh David ✌😂❤.
Brilliant!
very cool and he was genuinely chuffed.
Fast show, BRILLIANT!!!
Bowie was a real gentleman wickedly intelligent and funny all wrapped up in a
musical genius he is sorely missed.
What a compliment for him.
We didn't get to see enough of Bowies comedy talent, he seem to be a natural at it.
Cheesy peas!! Brilliant 😃
I think Paul Whitehouse underrates himself.
Basically a humble man
To everyone asking who the other three are, are you all completely snubbing the fact that the woman next to Paul is Jennifer Connelly, aka David Bowie's co-star in Labyrinth????
David Bowie is brilliant both as a Singer, Song writer and also as an actor - loved the Labyrinth film with him and Jennifer + Jim Henderson's muppets / puppets
I’ve been a fan of Paul Whitehouse since the 80s, he’s so talented. I’m loving his collaboration with Bob Mortimer and Ted the dog, Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Fishing, the deep bonds of friendship and affection between them is evident. BTW, I loved The Fast Show too…scorrchio😉.
David Bowie saying brilliant, how brilliant.
A music legend doing an impersonation of a comedy legend that's Brilliant...
Everyone's crush, Jennifer, gorgeous!!!
Jennifer Connelly looks amazing omg
David Bowie doing Paul Whitehouse impression, brilliant innit.
I was so confused at the title
Paul first really came to light on the first Harry Enfield series where he played supporting characters and came across as maybe a bit of a side kick. As time moved on he proved he was every bit the equal of Harry, so that the Harry Enfield show became Harry and Paul. I draw some comparisons with Bob Mortimer, who started out playing characters on Vic Reeves Big Night Out, then subsequent series became Reeves and Mortimer.
Brilliant is the word ! Even better is DB's impression of Mick Jagger that came up along side.
Rob Brydons story about Jagger is pretty good too.
Paul Whitehouse is pure class...! Johnny Depp & David Bowie as fans.
Did anyone else notice "Warszawa" playing in the background of that video?
It was only 2 years ago. Brilliant!
Sitting next to those legs without looking at them is a triumph of self control.
I met Paul when he was filming a programme that used my school as a set for one of the episodes in 2010-ish
And...
Paul has characters that when you first see them you go ",oh yeah I recognise that type of guy"
Harry Enfield too. "You don't wanna do it like that..."
The tile should of read. Bowies BRILLIANT impression of Paul Whitehouse.
I wish Jennifer Connolly would look at me like that ;).
I am, and have been since I first heard him, a massive Bowie fan and I was surprised that he was producing music for almost 10 years before the success of Space Oddity. He was also 1 of the great collaborators of music as well having worked with some of music's most legendary artists and the guy could come up with a song just using finger clicks (like on soul love, and in collaboration with Freddie Mercury on Under pressure)and gave Iggy Pop the most sacred thing you can give everyone, a direction to go and a helping hand. Legendary doesn't even come close to describing how good he was, and I am sure that Paul would agree.
PW is just funny 😁 😂 😀 love em
Bowie.....the ultimate accolade.🤗🤗
Paul Whitehouse. What a talent. Really miss the Fast Show.
No need to it's on DVD and UA-cam. I visit in a lot. Best sketch show ever 😊❤
He had an amazing ear...not only for accents etc, but the jazz scat singing he did on 'jazz club' was so accurate and in tune...and then there was that unexpected 'operatic' breakout he did in one of the Lee & Lance sketches. VERY, VERY talented and funny guy!
BRILLLLIIIIIAAAAAAAAANNNTTT
Paul Whitehouse should of gone onto to bigger things . An extremely talented man .
He's good but he looks like a milkman!
I CAN'T believe I'm NOT subscribed to The Graham Norton Show! Well, now I am...
Whitehouse and Mortimer fishing one of the best shows ever 👍🏻
yes it is. Brilliant, dare I say?
I'd enjoy it more if it wasn't about fishing
........and aaawwwaaaayyyyy......
Norton loved an interesting mix of guests.
David Bowie also did a fantastic Mick Jagger impression.
Rob Brydon "doing" Michael Cain to Mick Jagger, is hysterically funny and worth checking out.
I like Paul Whitehouse and the late David Bowie. I am a Fast Show fan.
" oh thats AMAZING "
Paul Whitehouse looks like a slightly older Julian Lennon
