Just in case it is like this with your machine. Some of them have selector valving in them to change the way they operate. Check with the manual.
I had rented one and the controls were backwards, the guy delivering it showed me valves under the floor mat that changes how it works.

Yeah, this one is iso only. No switch. Have to change the lines. I decided to just learn the correct pattern. I can gladly say that I figured it out.

I have always loved mini excavators, and although I have absolutely no current use for one, if I could afford it I'd buy one simply to practice operating it for fun!

I installed a 36" Titan thumb. Gotta lower the pressure as it has already destroyed the one inch pin. Lots of power in the curl function. Eventually I need to add aux hydr for a proper thumb.
Hope you are having a fantastic Christmas!

It's not always about pride. You get more gratification out of figuring out how to do something on your own and it also helps you to learn how to figure out things when there's nobody around to help you.
Pointers are nice to get when you cannot figure out something though.
By the way, I love running mini excavators, especially Takeuchi, Yanmar and another brand or two that I can't think of right off. It might be Komatsu and Kubota, but not John Deere or cat!

I'm still using my solid and dependable, original Craftsman ratchets and sockets, open-end wrenches, and box-end wrenches (and a few "well-loved" surviving screwdrivers). I bought most of them brand new in the early 1970's. Sadly, the next generation will learn to hate the "new sears" tools. Great vid, brother Justin... Congrats on the new toy!!!

I remember when they moved us onto fault location on the electric supply system!
We had to find where the underground faults were and mark them so the jointers could just roll up and dig. Many of the jointers said that they would not dig where we marked (out of awkwardness)..... kind of funny to see them digging where they "thought " it was. Often we would drive past a few days later and see several holes ..... the last one being where we marked ;0)
Over time it changed and they trust us to get it right (most of the time)!
All the best to You and Yours! Have a good 'un. ;0)

I would just sneak into the back seat floor board when they were ready to leave and then pop my head up about half way to their house. That only worked a couple of times until they and my parents would check and double check to see where I was.
      Great times and fun memories.

I know what I would do with that loader but I've been driving those for over 30 years. And I don't quite agree with your verbal directions on grabbing that tree stump either.
And almost all excavators of any size nowadays come with a switch between John Deere/backhoe and excavator control patterns.

I would see about making something that could be attached to the bottom claw to add teeth at right angles, something that can be simply mounted when needed, might staand a fighting chance with stumps, and easily removable maybe something that can hook ove the bar with a couple of pins. ;)

    • @TheGoodoftheLand
      @TheGoodoftheLand  3 роки тому +1

I can see how that looked passive aggressive. I assure you that is not the case. Just seemed to me that the last thing you want or need to hear is a negative BS response. It has been a rough year for everyone. Your original comment reacting to such a benign statement " Do you want a pointer" is socialy odd and aggressive in this situation. It leads me to believe one of two things. You struggle with the very topic discussed in this video to some degree, or rather others around you struggle. Ego is a hell of a thing. I personally battle with it every day. Its happening now as I respond. I assume I'm correct in my original thoughts that your just a dick thats hard to work with. However, that is not likely the truth. I had to check myself. Its more likely that you have had a hellacious year and some one in your past reacted poorly in a similar situation, taking the job out of your hands rather than assisting in your learning process. I sincerely hope you have a Merry Christmas and that next year is the beginning of the best years of your life. You are here in this moment for a reason. You are alive in the most important time in America History. Its not a coincidence. Nice to meet you Mike.
