2019 Green Race Winning Run [Course Record]

- The Green Race is one of the few events I just refuse to miss. The greatest mix of fast racers, the best crowd in kayaking, and one of the toughest races to keep her smooth top to bottom. Though still far from perfect, stoked to put it all together once again to take the win. That sub 4 still remains ready to be broken, and there is no doubt it is possible. Though I didn't get below 4 like many wanted to see, still stoked to finish on top again, and set a new course record. 2020 12 noon can't come fast enough cause I am ready to go again!

I took 2 white water kayaking lessons after watching your videos as well as Rush's old videos. It made me realized how out of shape I was. This is a tough but beautiful sport. You make it look so easy.
Of course Dane has the course record. Why wouldn't he? I swear I was watching this documentary about the Green Race and was thinking "I wonder if Dane has run this race?" I look up and the very next video is this one. Love it.
a tip : you can watch movies at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching loads of movies these days.

When you head into the flume in Gorilla, are you 100% certain that you're going to make it through that smooth, or is it kind of a crap shoot?
In terms of safety yeah I feel 100%, but as for having a fast race line. You can start finding ways to give yourself the best chance to have a smooth line, and it's mainly important to keep it straight. But there is still a bit of chance when it comes to the long boat, sometimes you hit the bounces just right, or sometimes you don't. It's a bit of both I guess.

DJ - That IS a perfect run, because no one has done it better. I love watching you carve those corners and maneuver that boat. Tell me, how exactly is the time kept? - Are timing devices fixed to your boats or person or is it simply two officials with synchronized stop watches?
