The idea that the American forces were morally superior to the Ruskies in WWII and this is why Germans surrendered to them is demonstrably absurd when you actually understand the war and even a surface understanding of history xD The German wehrmacht blindsided and invaded Russia after signing a peace deal with them... and then they proceeded to go scorched Earth while devastating every Russian city. town and village they would pass through - 19 million Soviet civilians died at the hands of the Wehrmacht when comparatively "only" 6 - 7 million Jewish folks were killed in the holocaust... though this is a comparison that is not much discussed on the mainstream. The Soviet military lost "only" about 8 million to direct military conflict and all of the rest of the staggering Soviet loss of life, was civilian and related to the Wehrmacht scorched earth policy when it came to Slavic people lol I suspect that, had Germans invaded the US East Coast and burned and marauded their way through the Midwest, they would similarly hope to surrender to Canadians should such a hypothetical invasion have gone south. Would we then presume the moral superiority of Canada? What Ben Shapiro rambles off at pace may seem insightful, even deeply intellectual at initial glance.. that is until you actually spend 2 minutes thinking about it xD

Ben says "no one wants to side with the Palestinians" is a claim that supports justification of high civilian casualties. If Israelis believe Palestinians are not liked, then their deaths don't matter as much
That's also coincides with their nonsensical argument that the people who are pro-palestine are not really Pro-palestine, but hamas supportering Anti-semites.
No, because it is true. They are radicalized. That is irrefutable. They have tried assassinating MULTIPLE presidents : Lebanon , Egypt , Jordon - that was connected with them. I’m a black man that has visited iseral and the Palastine 3 times in the past. I have good friends on both sides. It’s very interesting to see how blinded these iseral supporters are regarding the clear atrocities that are going on in Gaza, and throughout the West Bank. And not just October 7 until now. If the shoe was on the other foot and the Palestinians were setting in Israeli homes and villages, executing civilians on the daily bombing of innocent women and children, I would would be disgusted and at them and be in full support of humanity. This is not a pro Hamas debate. Hamas accepted the establishment of a Palestinian state separate from Israel -although only provisionally. Its statement on principles and policies said, “Hamas rejects any alternative to the full and complete liberation of Palestine, from the river to the sea. However, without compromising its rejection of the Zionist entity and without relinquishing any Palestinian rights, Hamas considers the establishment of a fully sovereign and independent Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as its capital along the lines of the 4th of June 1967, with the return of the refugees and the displaced to their homes from which they were expelled, to be a formula of national consensus.” Second, it attempted to distinguish between Jews or Judaism and modern Zionism. Hamas said that its fight was against the “racist, aggressive, colonial and expansionist” Zionist project, Israel, but not against Judaism or Jews. The updated platform also lacked all of the anti-Semitic language of the 1988 charter. Third, the document did not reference the Palestinian Muslim Brotherhood, from which Hamas was originally an offshoot. When hamas breached the wall that day, what did they encounter first? Was it A. Military buildings? B Israel soldiers? Or C. Kibbutz' where civilians live? The answer Is c!!! Kibbutz!! All along that wall? Kibbutz. Civilians homes. Its as if they shielded themselves with civilian homes, right... And a Kibbutz is a community of homes. So right at the wall, Israel built buildings for civilians, all along the perimeter. It seems to most people, that these civilians were human shields, right? Crazy 🤪 😜 So please. Stop lying to people. Give them the 100% truth, or if you yourself didn't know about this updated charter, keep quiet. End of. 🟢⚪️⚫️🔴🤪

@@zonianfjb wow aren't you paranoid, my comment has nothing to do with either side of the conflict, and I'm not informed well enough to choose a side, nor do I want to be.
It's interesting how Destiny regularly criticizes conservatives and Republicans for their borderline conspiratorial anti-institutional rethoric whenever Trump gets into trouble but sees no issue with his own rethoric whenever he castigates the UN just because Israel keeps consistently finding itself on the wrong side of international law.
@MustardSkaven There'd be no Hamas without Israel's propping them up to begin with. Israel uses hamas, which stems from the righteous indignation of people who've been systematically pushed off their lands by force. Hamas would NEVER be a thing if the ultimate goal of Israel wasn't to consume the ENTIRETY of Palestine to call it Israel
True. Two things can be bad at the same time. Hamas killing Israelis & Israel commiting a genocide is bad. However, American tax payers don't send Palistine billions, Palestine has never attacked or spied on the U.S. like Israel has, they have no lobbying groups that influence U.S. policy & elections. @MustardSkaven
In fairness Destiny livestreamed his research and found errors in the UNs reports (which are known by experts also but even so) . The UN also just fired some employees for being part of Hamas and the Oct 7th attacks. The UN also refused to condemn the Oct 7 attacks and only allowed it to be passed with a condemnation of Israel attached, even though they do that almost every year anyway. So they chastised Israel for an attack on their own people. The UN has a heavy bias on this issue and would admit if pressed about their mistakes.

Israel is not showing any signs of wanting to establish peace with a palestinian state. In the west bank, the PA has stopped putting up violent resistance even though they have an internationally recognized right to do so. If Israel wanted peace, they would remove the settlements. They could still keep the military occupation if they really think it is necessary, but they have not done that. They have done the complete opposite, which is to expand the settlements. All the palestinians get for not putting up resistance is to be subject to an apartheid system in which an american jew that has never been there can claim a palestinian house tomorrow. Israel could at least let the palestinians govern the west bank instead of expanding the settlements, albeit under occupation. There were points in time in which the majority of the palestinians wanted a two state solution, even hamas. Israel is establishing facts on the ground like expanding settlements and provoking palestinians, such that they can prevent a two state solution. the likud party literally states that they do not accept a palestinian state.

The Palestinians are an invention of Yasser Arafat from 1967. Until then there were Arab nomadic tribes that passed through the land of Israel which was under British, Ottoman rule, etc... They never had a country, an army, money, a prime minister, etc...
The first time the term Palestinians was used dates back to 1896, at that point there was already a national consciousness emerging in opposition to Ottoman rule. You clearly have no clue what you're talking about.
@@elite7329 The term Palestine can be found in ancient documents to refer to the south Levant. It's just another word like Canaan, Zion, etc. FWIW, there are also plenty of Jewish Palestinians, even though the term is not used in debating. Too bad so many positive interesting cultural historical points get lost due to this conflict.
Their insights on this topic aren't particularly novel or groundbreaking. They primarily echo the same opinions that have been prevalent since the beginning of the conflict.

This was a pointless debate. Both approach the topic with the premise that Israel is somehow a good actor in the region and in general. They still see Palestinians as cattle, people w no faces or names.
I have shallow knowledge on the topic, i wanna say that upfront. Is there a reason the Palestinians have repeatedly turned down deals to establish a Palestinian stare that Isreal was on board with 4/5 times in the past 80 years? They’ve rejected every deal that would have secured their independence
@@trentirvin2008 that’s a reasonable question to ask. The answer is because every deal they’ve been offered either had limitations on their sovereignty and/or further carved up the land that they wanted for a state. We’ve been fed this idea that they’ve turned down fantastic deals in the past, but the offers themselves were not in good faith and unrealistic. Finkelstein has called out Shapiro, however, who is the one running.
Centre-Right vs. Neocon hawkish far right The more hawkish side seemed to persuade the Center-Right side in the second half of the video that the Pals. didn't want peace. Part of the unstated logic throughout seems to be that the Pal. side has rejected the other side's terms, therefore the implication seems to be drawn and asserted that this means that the Pal. side doesn't want peace. In reality, one need not draw that conclusions, since the reason for rejecting the terms could be problems with the side's terms rather than the Pal side's desires on the topic of peace per se. Bonell (Destiny) seemed to try to make the contrary argument, ie. that the Isr. side kept building settlements so the Isr. side doesn't want peace either. But Shapiro seemed to respond by bringing Bonell back to Shapiro's earlier stated reasoning about the Pals.
How does no one in the comment section have the ability to consider context and think critically? "A debate between 2 pro-israel people??" Yes, dummies, this was one single part of a 2+ hr debate. In this one single part they had mostly agreement
I was really impressed how Ben Shapiro not being an Israeli has such an excellent grasp on what’s going on in Israel and among Israeli people. Usually Americans especially Jewish Americans don’t really get it.
The reason H*mas is more popular in the west bank is because their government has been complying w Israel since forever and they haven't gotten anything in return except continuous loss of their land and lives. Israel, time and time again have shown Palestinians that being peaceful won't do them any favors, that's why march of return, UN resolutions for two states AND complete compliance w Israeli government in the west bank didn't work. They make Palestinians think that fighting back is the only option and then opress them more by using this excuse that they only know how to fight. Also, broad majority of Palestinians dont think fighting helps them lol, thats the reason various polls show that hamas (56%) never garnered the same level of popularity that arafat did when he was involved in peace talks (86%). The main reason hamas won the election was because they were not corrupt as opposed to fatah, also because the peace talks never got them anywhere. The fact that Palestinians somehow love this conflict which involves huge asymmetrical violence and continuous loss of their land is just absurd. Only Israel benefits from this ongoing conflict which is pretty obvious when we see whos continuously expanding, also the reason netanyahus a big fan of h*mas.

Ben says "no one wants to side with the Palestinians" is a claim that supports justification of high civilian casualties. If Israelis believe Palestinians are not liked, then their deaths don't matter as much
It’s also objectively untrue. The populations of nearly the entire region are ready to go to war right now on behalf of the Palestinians
Nobody wanted the gews before WWll either. Gews are projecting.
That's also coincides with their nonsensical argument that the people who are pro-palestine are not really Pro-palestine, but hamas supportering Anti-semites.
Remember when Ben Shapiro said "Israelis like to build. Arabs like to bomb crap and live in open sewage."
No, because it is true. They are radicalized. That is irrefutable. They have tried assassinating MULTIPLE presidents : Lebanon , Egypt , Jordon - that was connected with them. On top, ONLY Israel came up with peace talks. It's because peace is not what they want
Meaning, the ONLY way you can be Pro-Palestine is if you agree with : continuing a "forever war" in order to reclaim ALL of Israel
So acting like they are innocent is completely delusional

Crazy 🤪 😜
So please.

What is interesting is how quick people are to point out Israeli war crimes but ignore the blatant crimes of Hamas.
@MustardSkaven There'd be no Hamas without Israel's propping them up to begin with. Israel uses hamas, which stems from the righteous indignation of people who've been systematically pushed off their lands by force.

Additionally, Norm has literally said in videos on YT that he would gladly debate shapiro as shapiro has a larger audience. ua-cam.com/users/shortsDbrxPRITJSQ here is the proof
@@jepper6140 Ok clearly your'e an idiot. But We have no idea if he reached out or not, you have one clip of him calling him out. And I gotta ask... wtf are you babbling about Destiny being a "carpet cleaer", I have no idea where you get this ignorant shit, he's never held that profession he went to music school in college and became a pro SC2 gamer, then transferred into streaming, he was probably one of if not the first full time professional streamers 14 years ago to do this.
With all do respect -- I understand Shaprio, who has a career of talking about politics is someone people want to listen to regarding these topics..
But why is the other guy even 1% qualified to discuss anything at all?
Two agreeing interlocutors isn’t a debate. Bring Norman Finkelstein on the podcast if you want to represent both sides of this issue equally.
He wouldn’t debate destiny. He kept running
@@patapon646 You mean both Destiny and Shapiro ran away from debating Finkelstein.
@@driftFDkeep telling yourself that
@@patapon646 Finkelstein is 70 yrs old and has been covering this issue since 1982 - longer than both Shapiro and Destiny have been alive, and is among the leading academic scholars on the conflict. After 42 years of expertise he is justifiably going to want to debate someone who he deems reputable as an expert on the matter, which Destiny self-admittedly states he isn't. Finkelstein has called out Shapiro, however, who is the one running.
@@Quaquadaqu i don't have to tell myself, it's factual.
Zero combat, counter-insurgency, counter terrorism experience combined.
centre-right vs right
Centre-Right vs. Neocon hawkish far right
The more hawkish side seemed to persuade the Center-Right side in the second half of the video that the Pals. didn't want peace.
In this one single part they had mostly agreement
you should make a debate with both sides, otherwise it's just one side explaining their pov without really considering the opposite side of the table
