    As a jazz enthusiast, I've really learnt a lot from this lesson. Especially the "correct" application of chromatic notes rather than just doing it by feel.

    Interesting but I struggle to make this in real time when improving a walking bass line. So I do mostly with chord tones, scale notes and a few chromatisms. But I'm unable to target a specific chord tone on the right beat in real time, all this while not getting lost in the chord progression.

      Yep I understand that.
      That’s why it’s best to start them off as set phrase that one works with chord tones, scale notes and chromatics on set beats of the bar… the over time the placement will become more natural and instinctive
