Being left-handed too I was interested to see how you got on with the Impact, it didn't seem to be too awkward for you, I read that you can use an FX Crown magazine and mount it from the other side for left hand use.
Helix is on the side of the truck and caught me off guard for a second. I'm a car guy, and you're in a different country. I feel dumb scratched my head, wondering what truck that is. Haha, it's the scope, and you just put letters on the side.
the thermal looks a good piece of kit, I will have to look at the price .I use sub 12 ft FX impact .177 out to 50 Mt ,and seeing how you can spot them should be a good piece of kit to have enjoyed your video'👍
Hi , Hello my friend. I see that you are left-handed, like me. I'm hesitating to buy an Impact because I'm afraid that the magazine in the cheek is very unpleasant. What do you think? Is it really a problem ? Thank you for your help .
I've heard of you guys shooting FAC, but no one ever said what the highest ft/lb FAC can go ? So my question is: can a FAC air rifle go over a hundred foot pounds? A curious mind wants to know 😁 🤔
Im not to sure about other airguns but the FX Impact will certainly go over 100ftlbs in .25 cal, .30cal and .35, i have mine running at 80ftlbs with 39g wildman slugs and 40g prohunters.
That was one thing I did find, I had to adjust my head position around the mag, a bit of a niggle when they have allowed for the bolt handle to be reversed!
@@260rips I have been searching high and low for an honest answer from a fellow disabled shooter! Thank you! Reading through some of the other comments, it looks like the M3 will need to be a try it before you buy it PCP.
Lol.... lots of people getting upset and ranting 🤣. Chill fellas... it's like everything in life, from cars and watches, to houses, you can spend as much or as little as you choose. One man's meat... as they say... now stop bitching and play nicely... it's Christmas 🎄 Lots of editing... because I've had a couple 🍺
Through interest I "Googled" the price of these. After spitting out my tea I smiled. Give me my rimfires any day over a pellet gun. A quarter of the price for a top notch 22 or 17. No need to buy a compressor. Cheap ammunition and reliable in all weathers, plus last a lifetime if cared for. Sometimes it beggars belief people have that amount of money to waste to shoot rodents.
You’re right a rimfire is a lot cheaper option due to it having less working parts I suppose 🤷🏻♂️ I guess these guns are the top of the game for those who don’t have an fac or for whatever reason can’t get one, and I guess if you took into account the cost of a safe, doctors letter and licence cost as well as the hassle, you can buy a tack driving airgun all be it under 12ft lbs and probably when you stack up the costs and hassle it might make a logical choice for some 🤷🏻♂️👍
Try shooting pigeons off the rafter's in a barn , with a rimfire. With this , twist a dial to go from low to high power. That said, out of my price range 😔.
@Jon but you wouldn't point a rimfire up in a tree to shoot squirrels would you? Air rifle best tool for the job. Nothing more satisfying than dropping a squirrel from a tree branch 30 plus yards away. I have an fx Cyclone that I bought new 12 years ago. Cost me about £800 it puts out 28 ft lb, is a tack driver and hasn't missed a beat. That isn't a bad return on investment. You don't need to spend a fortune though, you can get a decent air rifle for under £400. Airgunning is a great way to hone stalking skills too. @Rips always enjoy watching your videos.
@@260rips Agree, I do use sub 12 for rats on my farm. Its a reliable BSA that is about 15 years old and cost me £200 second hand. Cheap scope and it will bump stuff off at 40+ yards. Trouble is a lot of these videos are just marketing plugs. The rimfire also allows to switch from the usual rabbit to a fox if the need arises. And I still lamp, old fashioned but I cannot get my head round the need for a thermal scope costing several thousands to shoot vermin.
Another video of through the scope shots with nothing on the scope to video them .. amazing , turned 260 rips into a marketing chap pity his channel was brilliant. I unsubscribe
@Broad Side Just standard now , like you say used to be ok, then marketing creeped in and it’s just utter crap spewed every other month, puppets on strings ..
The Impact will never be my choice because it can only be used with a bipod, shooting stick or by resting the rifle at something. A good hold only for your two hands for a precision shot is not possible. You have always that stupid air bottle or a Picatinny rail in your hand. I my opinion nothing is better than a good wooden stock with checkering for free hand shooting.
@Broad Side I sold mine just because of that. In my case a FX royal or HW100 would be a better option but i prefer my HW97 springer. I,m happy to skip the tralala that comes with a PCP. Just my 97 and a tin with pellets makes life way more easy and a quality springer is way more reliable. I don't do 100+ yards shots and when i have to i take my rimfire.
@Broad Side I have shot competitions my friend even a while FT. I still have my match rifles, a Diana75 and a FWB 300S and i still shoot them at home. Bankrest, standing and kneeling with a hamster mounted to optimize the hold. Maybe you don't know how a rifle should fit before you give some advise to someone else. Shooting a PCP from a tripod is no big deal but head shots free handed need some more experience.
@Broad Side Just your stupid answers tells me enough about you. It is the same as; no problem to shoot my impact freehand at all, but to hit something is something totally different. I bet you can't even shoot a springer! You're just a PCP nerd that payed a lot for a Impact and don't want to hear any cons because it should be the best on the market.
@Broad Side I told you that i shot competitions and FT because you told me that i had to practice more...You told me i was a bad shooter but you ain't know a shit about me pal. You should use your brain first before you write something here. You just make a fool out of your self and you don't even know it.🤣
@Broad Side Countless thousands of rabbits, squirrels, pigeons, crows.....Did you kill any or just hurt them? Maybe you understand now your stupid replies.
Great video, Mark. 👍
Merry Christmas to all air gun pellet heads 🎄
Looking forward to your next outing with the m3, great vid as always.
Love watching this guy .
Nice shooting Mark love watching your videos cheers mate
Good video Mark.Nice shooting at that distance.
The .25 through the chest is perfect.
Merry Christmas 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the recap on the rifle’s specifics and kit used.
No worries I hope you enjoyed the episode 😉👍

Oh really? Now that’s interesting, thanks for that, that would make shooting it more comfortable 👍
Thanks for your video very informative. Festive greetings.🐿
I have an FAC impact M3. Worth every penny.
Yes, but what will this very expensive rifle shoot once lead pellets/slugs are banned in the U.K.?
Second posting of this video😅 did Matt resign like Pete Carr 😢 you done your best guys but

Beat me too it Stephen.
Honest answer Mark.
Thanks both.
I’m thinking of buying one but I guess it’s going to be try before you buy 🤔🤔
I think if I were going to buy an Fx I would probably opt for the Fx crown, that looks a nice rifle 👍

What type of binoculars are you using?
These are the pulsar merger thermal binos 👍
It's s fx promo show..
No, Fx supplied the rifle and I gave a run down on it and what I thought of it, it saves answering a lot of questions later in the comments! 😉
just put in variation my fac to get .25 cal fx m3
FX promo?
Fx supplied rifle, simply giving my views on it, saves lots of answering comments later!
@8:45 The Fx barrel is as thin as a straw, I wouldn't be laying it against the tree like that
I can confidently say it’s sturdy enough to lean the rifle against 👍
No headshots?
No need, with an fac .25, chest shot drives straight through them!
@@260rips true 👍🏻
Your air rifle hunting 😂really it’s better than Matt video s
Check these out left hand magazines and sader tactics doses check pads to BC Custom - Aluminum Magazine, FX Impact, Left, .22 Cal
I'm not too sure about the safety aspects of this video. Just about every time you see the safety catch, it's set to fire.
I never rely on safety catches and prefer to have the rifle empty until ready to fire, pointing in a safe direction and finger off the trigger 😉
Wow down to 9 minutes.
Yep, sorry was meant to be 10! Still, 9 minutes of free entertainment! 😉
