    Very informative.
I need tips for helping to 2,4 year old communicate. She does speech therapy but she is only learning new words. There is no improvement in communication.
I never know which goal the therapist sets and the session lasts for 30 min.
Want to help her at home with communication, but don't know how

As Naomi mentioned in her presentation, a speech therapist should be guiding the parents with the goals and the technique on how to work with your child at home.
That's the reason we stopped going to speech therapy, the therapist would work with the child behind closed doors for 30mins, and we would get no feedback. We don't know what the therapist was working on and we got no tips on techniques.
You can check out our channel for some ideas to work at home.
And Naomi tips are excellent if you apply them.
Wishing you all the best with your little one 🥰

My husband and I are about to get our first foster child placement. A two year old girl that is nonverbal but within the past two months has made some progress with a few words and signing. Could you incorporate sign language for speech delays? We are going to do everything we can to help this sweet girl and your advice is amazing. Thank you so much for the work that you do!
